As the coins were extended out to them, Tsubame would wait for Dragon to take his stack before she retrieved her own, nodding to Magnus. Placing the stack into the pouch inside of her attire, she looked to face the man, being addressed. "I was looking forward to joining Dragon to Konoha, if he didn't mind." Her gaze flickered over to him, before returning back to Magnus. She had only been in this city for a short while, and wasn't too comfortable hanging around here on her own. Sure, she'd love to help get this city back together, though there was also Takumi, a place that was starting to grow on her before she left suddenly. Tsubame felt more comfortable in Dragon's company, and she didn't want to pass the chance to see one of the five--four--Great Shinobi Villages.

Atsuko seemed genuinely surprised at her answer, his eye brows raised but not in anger, he was rather excited. This was a good step up to say the least. She had little to gained from going to konoha beyond the experience which meant she was in it for the long run, not just profit. At least this was signs of just that.
Taking his share of ryo he'd give Magnus a bow and step away from the bar, leading them outside. "We should set out. My wounds aren't to bad and I like to keep moving. Nodding to Magnus, she'd follow Dragon outside. He was ready to get going, and outside of the things she was already carrying, she couldn't really think of what else she might need. A piece of armor and another weapon popped to mind, which she made mental notes to obtain sometime soon. "Not at the moment. We can head out, if you're ready." Tsu would smile to him, placing her straw hat back on top of her head, and adjusting the sword at her hip. She noticed the crimson pupils fading, and finally took notice of how tired he looked. "Just... take it easy, okay?" Genuinely concerned for him, she just wanted to make him aware of his current state, without putting a damper on his plans for moving out immediately.

Atsuko nodded, readjusting his coat. Without any further ado he'd head out with his ally, set on making good time.
"I will. If things go well, we won't have to lift a finger to get into konoha"

Roxas walked into the bar with his wounds healed. The same look in his eyes. These days he was finding little reason to continue believing in Atsuko's vision. The world was a dark, hopeless pit of despair no matter he looked. Looking at the bar tender that had previously attacked him, Roxas sighed and asked for Magnus. The man of the hour.

Magnus was busy mixing drinks when Roxas walked in. His movements had the flair of a seasoned entertainer--a fancy spin of a bottle, a the meticulous shaving of an ice cube into a ball with one hand while the other held a frosted glass--and also with the precision of someone who knew that every drop of alcohol spilled was an expense. A few coins plinked into a tip jar as he handed out the drinks, after which he turned his attention to Roxas. The streak of singed hair was still present.
"I can only imagine things went smoothly," the barkeep stated while procuring a stack of coins from under the counter. The stack was considerably larger than would befit the job Roxas had just done, a fact Magnus was quick to address: "The pay for your mission, along with a commendation and a bonus 1000 Ryou from your previous employer. You apparently left quite an impression."
He slid a note across the counter along with the cash. It was of a card stock that looked perfectly run of the mill, but touching it would reveal how smooth and firm the paper was, far beyond the norm. On it were the words: "To the Goddamn Lightning Bolt, for services rendered."
Roxas watched Magnus do his fancy act with his bottles. Seemed like the man really got a kick out of it. Roxas had no patience for theatrics. You came, got your drink and left. Simple as that. If you wanted a show you'd go to the circus. When Magnus finally addressed him he sighed like usual. "Yeah. Kids without anything to do." He replied. His eyes darted around the room as if looking for something or someone. The truth was he didn't want Magnus to look him in the eyes. Magnus had this sort of power to him. Almost as if he knew what others were thinking.
The pay was normal stuff, but the commendation made Roxas' right eye lift in suspicion. "A what?" He asked gruffly. People didn't tend to hand him such things. The killing business didn't get him to many compliments. He took the piece of paper and felt it along his hard and calloused fingers. "My last employer huh?" He asked in a low tone. Roxas had all the intention to just throw the thing away right then and there, but something told him to stop and just keep it. At least for the moment. He took his money and asked Magnus if he had any more jobs available.

Magnus shrugged stiffly. His eyes darted briefly over to a table that was getting a bit noisy, but things quieted down again soon thereafter.
"Daimyou are quite the fans of commendations, but they're also loose with coin if you know how to ask." The bartender shifted his attention briefly to wish someone well after they left a sizable tip, but was back to business immediately afterward. "There is a group of foreign businessmen passing through the area. You'll recognize them by the emblem of Ishigakure they wear on their clothing and flying from banners on their caravan. Their goods are mostly insignificant--mining gear, fishing rods, things of that nature--but you will be looking for a small lockbox, optionally the key to it, and any papers on their persons. The petitioner for this job has said to kill the 'one with the unibrow if they resist', but did not specify for the others."

Here again. It hadn't been long since she'd last appeared at the bar and grill to meet a new associate. This time she'd be meeting old associates, good friends, and it'd been too long since she'd seen them. They'd been messing around in the land of fire for the past few days, and she was interested in whatever story they'd have to tell her. Her stories weren't all that interesting - just a few loose ends she tied up for a contact. Getting rid of the pesky foxes had been fun, she admitted to herself, though the old man merchant that robbed her was quite... distasteful.
She ordered some hot tea and a plate of grilled fish, hold the lemon. She also placed an order for the soup of the day, a classic cornflower soup. She was glad the waitress was accustomed to masked guests and placed her somewhere in a corner booth. Artemis would need to tip her heavily for such sound service.
Houou slid into the bar, with his usual stealthful silence. The group made their way to the bar after spotting Artemis already seated at the bar, houou and Atsuko sat on either side of Artemis. Surprising her with smiles, as they began to fill her in on the result of the journey to Konohagakure. All while awaiting service from one of the waitresses. With luck Magnus himself would arrive to assist the

Atsuko had been somewhat quiet on the journey back. He was mulling over the details in his head, what he had read and what he had left with leaf. All of it was of grave importance to him and yet he wasn't sure how much he should talk about.
Ultimately he was just glad to be back with his group again. Though tiger was missing as per usual, something that was starting to concern Atsuko but he wouldn't press details. He had known Roxas for sometime so he knew the man could handle himself just fine.

"I hope you all had fun in the land of fire. Nothing's been happening in Takumi; I saw a new guy at the city hall, though. I wonder what he'll be like, I didn't get much of an impression from him one way or the other." She thanked the waitress as her soup, dango and tea appeared. She immediately brought the cup into her palm to warm herself up. She would tilt her mask off to drink it once it cooled a bit. "Is there something big happening?" She was unaware of their plans to obtain a directive from their contact Magnus.

Magnus himself arrived with Artemis' food, balanced carefully on one of his arms. He placed the cup of tea down gently before sliding a still-steaming plate of grilled fish and a bowl of soup in front of her.
"Is there something I can get for the rest of you?" he inquired calmly, producing a pen and notepad from his back pocket. "If you're here for business, there is a matter that you could take care of after your meal."
He slipped a small envelope out from between the pages of his notepad and placed it on the table parallel to its edge. Following that, he returned to waiting for their orders. In the background, Artemis' original waitress peeked around the corner at the group only to look flustered upon seeing Magnus.
Envelope Contents:
The Snow Lantern Path was recently buried by an avalanche caused in part by human influence, as I'm sure you're aware. Excavation has been slow, as the workers fear a second avalanche might be triggered should they work too quickly. For a few weeks now the site has been abandoned, but now it would seem the UHV is planning to secretly transport prisoners using the route. Among them is one Doctor Hunt, whose expertise is invaluable to our client. Head there, ambush the transport, release the prisoners, and bring Doctor Hunt to the hospital here in Giman. You may recognize him by the dragon eye tattoo he has on his chest, but it's likely to be covered, so do a thorough check of all the prisoners. ((Missions: Ambush (Rogue), Rescue (B).))
Houou began to salivate as Artemis’ food was placed before her. It wasn’t until Magnus made mention of the mission, that houou broke from his trance.
“i think the rest of us will hold of on the meal for now Magnus. However, you can entrust this errand to us with no worry. You would think that the avalanche was enough to make those bastards slow down, I guess we need to really teach them a lesson this time. ”
Houou said standing and bowing to Magnus. He the turned and leaned on the bar counter, and faced Artemis. With a wide smirk on his face. His hand slowly encroaching on her plate of delicious smelling fish.
“i think it would be best if we spake in private, Phoenix. Ryuu will have to fill you in because even I’m still in the dark. You uhhhh need help with this?”
Houou said with drool trailing down his chin and a mesmerizing look in his eyes. It was as if he wasn’t even listening for Artemis’ response.
Artemis didn't notice anything up with her waiter, occupied on her food. But then there was an envelope all of a sudden and oh - Houou wanted them to take on a mission. Well, it would be nice to work with her teammates anyhow, though she'd had a good set up back in Takumi. She let Houou take the lead in accepting the mission, bowing and showing respect. He then robbed her of her fish - causing her eyebrows to sky rocket, then relax.
She twisted her mask to the right side of her face, blocking her appearance from anyone on her right side, which would be the rest of the store and Magnus too. She glared at Atsuko, whispering, "Are you not feeding our precious Turtle?" Her mother bear instincts kicked in, then settled again as she smelled her soup. She knew it was hot, but also that Houou wanted to leave right away, so she blew on the surface of the cup and brought it to her lips to chug it down. She placed the empty bowl down with satisfaction, a burnt tongue, and watering eyes, but was undeterred and without regret. She took a goodbye-sip of her tea as she rose too, mourning her grilled fish on the inside. "Alright, let's go kick some butt!"
