GDan Interesting idea: What would happen if a Shinobi became a shinigami or a hollow... Though it's unlikely to happen, my character is most likely to have this happen if at all due to her not truely being a ninja... Once they are dead they have no chakra, it converts to spiritual pressure and they go through the cycle of rebirth into the soul society. Because shinigami can't usually remember their life as human, they won't even remember a thing. Note: Bleach Memories of a Nobody stated that a shinigami has never remembered their lives as a human. That was actually the entire plot of the movie x.D

I suppose it doesn't matter as the higher levels of hollowdom are masses of hollows eaten by another. With one dominant psyche. Just an idea to chew on for later. Might make it that the "Shinobi" that wiped out her family were actually hollows or something. It would be reasonable that a hollow could take down a family of fighters that focused on animal form taijutsu. another idea: if I add in that bit of backstory, could she pull a bit of fulbringer? Something she can do with the gun that can fight hollows? Doesn't need to fire ceros or anything, that would drain her chakra right quick.

The shinobi verse cannot produce hollows, the souls usually pass on into afterlife without needing to be sent back. But the reason why the fourth great shinobi shinobi spirits are still there is because they were summoned up from their normal lives back into bodies and used as puppets by Kabuto... Any spirit that was forced back to life is left wondering for eternity... Until now there was no link that could sent hollows or shinigami too the Naruto verse to get the souls. In that there are no fullbringers, reason being is that there are no hollows to make them it. Also, while some hollows remember their human lives others do not, any that do immediately forget it when they evolve into a Menos Grande. After they evolve from a Menos one personality only comes out, not the memories. This stated, hollows could never use shinobi abilities.

Since Remy has not needed to use her kekkei genkai perhaps some of you can help me with it. The basic idea is actually quite similar to the animal curse mark. Her family has a special aptitude with sage mode. Letting each member attain this skill with little difficulty. Animal is chosen early on in life through a test(ideas?) ideas and they train to their strengths.
not sure how to set this up. The concept is that the user (a member of the jokir clan) morphs in to an anthropomorphic form of the animal. For example Remy changes into a were rat. Obvious bonus being animal senses, physical traits and teeth/claws/tails or wings. base traits are heightened, mostly physical over chakra based.
Cons of this could be sharing that animals weaknesses, distractions or dislikes. Also once you change, your stuck that way for a duration(an hour to a day depending on skill level)
Ideas?

So it's basically Jūgo's clan mixed with the transformation technique? Come to think about it, that would be interesting. A member with, say, a tiger would be more aggressive than say a sheep sage. Personality changes would work for this too. The lesser trained of this clan being more susceptible to their primal urges. Each member would have a different (almost kung fu) style. After reading up on jugo, its very similar to the sage transformation but animal based and physical based over chakra. also, the trans would be into the animal, whether complete or partial. Only one form to shift to.
