Malila, or Li, as she preferred to be known, perched on a rock overlooking the ocean. She was normally a river girl, but she liked following the current and visiting the ocean from time to time.
She was what her kind called an aquatic; instead of legs she had a tail, like a human mermaid. If she sat on land long enough for her tail to dry it would shift into legs, so she could walk around on land as well as swim in the water. All she needed to do to get her tail back was wet her legs, which could be just a bit inconvenient sometimes if accidents happened.
Li took a deep breath and slipped into the water, diving and instantly feeling a playfulness come over her as she slipped around rocks and coral. She didn't have gills, but like most aquatic mammals she could hold her breath for long periods of time before she had to return to the surface.
The girl was a small one, body petite and pale and gentle. Long hair, long enough to reach her knees, floated in the water gently. Her form was trapped within a bubble, protecting her from anyone outside who attempted to touch the powerful girl. Her legs were drawn up to her chest, arms curled around them and head partially hidden into her knees. She was hidden within the depths of the ocean, the bubble pulsing and rippling as if alive as her form floated within. Her soft limbs were still, heavily lashed eyes fluttering as she dreamed. She was beautiful, but seemed unreal. As if a doll. Her clothes were basically rags, mostly because Levi did not care for clothes. She never even left the ocean to receive clothes....
She had been asleep for about a hundred years, and now, it was time to wake. Her bubble shimmered bright colors, body slowly unfolding as her eyes flickered open. With a quiet, muted, watery snap, the bubble vanished and the girl was free.
It was time to explore.
Short, shoulder-length hair the color of fresh blood haloed in a little cloud around Li's head as she floated still in the water examining a lovely piece of coral, her powerful orange and yellow tail beating at the water. The delicate fin portion of her tail and the fins of her elbows was a gentle green that almost faded into the color of the water this close to the surface; if she went down deeper into dark water the green would become far more luminous.
Her skin was very pale, which made her colors seem that much brighter. Blue eyes blazed as brightly as her hair. The only piece of clothing she wore was a simple wrap top over a bra; when she was on land she could use the top as a skirt. It wasn't the most covering of outfit choices, but it was better than being caught naked.
Li moved deeper into the water, enjoying the plays of light and color and the freedom of the water. Fish drifted lazily around past her. A suddenly disturbance made Li halt and look around curious, with only a touch of alarm. It was a gentle feeling, like a ripple through the water, and merely a little weird rather than threatening. She began swimming in giant circles, looking around trying to find the source.
Jinx: ((I'm assuming she was fairly deep down in the water or in her cave.))
Yushika: (( Yup! ))
Jinx: ((Li's still pretty close to the surface at the moment. At a depth that a human could go, though only one experience at diving without an air tank.))
Leviathan did not need gills. She was fine in the water, an exception. She /was/ the "queen" of the water, afterall. With a few gentle strokes of movement she was above the darker parts of the water, bright yellow eyes illuminating as red ribbons twirled around her. It didn't take the long haired girl long to spot someone within the water, though she didn't move closer. She simply stayed put, watching.
Li spotted something in the water below her. Was this the source of the "ripple" she'd felt? She stayed floating in place, examining the creature. It looked to be a female, like her, but a bit off. Maybe it was because she was a bit further down than Li could see; she had excellent dark-vision for deeper waters and could comfortably go further down than she was now, but her eyes still had to adjust.
At that moment Li's body made its need for a fresh breath of air known. Reluctantly she tore her eyes away from the creature below and shot to the surface; she was almost positive the one below her wasn't a threat, at least not an immediate one, but by moving fast she'd have time to react in case she was wrong. Her head breached the surface of the water and she drew in a quick, long breath, then submerged again and looked about for the girl.
By the time the woman returned Levi had moved closer to the surface, body in a position as if she was floating in air. Her legs were aboved her torso, arms folded under her chest, hair swirling and floating like a cloud around her. Yellow eyes viewed the other, bare feet twitching as suddenly she fluidly slipped closer, moving like a snake in a circle around the other. Her blank face did not potray the childish curiousity swirling in her stomach. Her hands touched red hair before suddenly, quick as an arrow, she moved away, a loose red strand inbetween her fingers, yellow eyes gazing at the bright color and comparing it to her own blue.
Li blinked in surprise. She'd gotten under water again and had spotted the girl soon enough that she wasn't startled by her getting so close. She was trying to figure the child out, for child was what she seemed by her body build. She moved through the water with all the comfort of an aquatic, but her body looked like that of a normal. That didn't necessarily mean anything of course; just because her form was like this didn't mean all aquatics would be the same. It varied from individual to individual in the same way physical appearances did.
The one thing they had in common was the need for air, and this girl had been so deep down in the water that the one reason to come up to the surface again /would/ be for a breath. Yet she didn't seem to be in distress at all...
That was when one of her hairs got plucked. Only a single one, not even enough to hurt. It was just surprising because Li hadn't expected it. She shot the girl a questioning look; underwater she couldn't speak, not even with the type of echos dolphins and whales used to communicate. She could hear those echos, but not replicate them.
Strange eyes viewed Li, her own black and yellow flickering before releasing the strand. She moved closer, head tilting to the side. She could not speak underwater, not without touching someone, and she wasn't about to touch the other. Long hair twirled around her form as she moved closer, releasing her gently and floating once more as she stayed still. Instead of the white most had within their eyes she had black, eyes piercing as they stared intently. Her hand reached out, though instead of touching the others skin it seemed to stroke across her clothes across her chest, curious despite her poker face.
It looked nice. She hadn't seen nice clothes before. Her own were.... well.... simply there to cover, and even then she was known to just strip because she really did not understand clothes. Then, her eyes flicked to view the tail, head tilting. A fish person? Ah! She had seen them before, hundreds of years ago... And they were much older than this girl.
Had Li been above the water she probably would have let out an offended squawk. She almost /did/ let out such a sound while under the water, but that would have been a waste of air. She did give the girl a reproachful look and reached out to take hold of the questing hand, moving just as surely through the water as the girl did, shaking her head firmly to let her know that was not a place to touch.
Li released the girl's hand and moved back a little, then did her own curious circle around the kid. Her tail caused a mini current around them, making the girl's long hair move as though in a gentle breeze, though it never touched the long strands.
It was so weird to see what looked like a normal landwalker underwater, and apparently comfortable being so! She gave the girl a curious look, wondering what her story was.
Oh? The other was offended? She blinked, confused, but listened. Suddenly, the other was circling her, her eyes flicking and body slightly turning to follow the other. It was then her stomach finally protested, reminding her it was time to eat. The girl twitched, glancing about. Sea weed. She should eat sea weed.... Or coral. Or something.
Li had to speed her normal swimming pace to make a complete circle around the girl as she followed her movements, though Li could sympathize with a discomfort of strangers at your back. A quiet rumbling sound reached her ears and she tilted her head, hair waving around her face. Was that the girl's stomach?
Li felt her face stretch into a smile, the underwater version of a laugh. A single bubble escaped her mouth before she closed her lips, though it was stale air and nothing she would miss. She twirled around a bit, looking around, then spotted a school of fish swimming below her. She turned her head to look at the girl and made a questioning gesture towards the fish.
See, now, Leviathan had never had "people" food. However, she also did not eat fish. Being a "legend", or what the ocean called their "queen", one did not often go about eating your loyal subjects. She glanced at the fish, turning to view Li and shaking her head. Instead, she swam down around the fish, expanding her palm. Without even a moment of hesitation a small fish swam into her hand, nuzzling into her skin and freezing suddenly as Leviathan lowered her head close to it. Her mouth opened, whispering something soft before she removed her hand, the fish darting back to its school. In seconds the school of fish changed direction and swam quickly to the right, as if seeking something. Which they were.
Li looked curiously on as the girl swam towards the fish. It would have been an understatement to say she was just startled when the fish swam right up to her, stayed there as she lowered her face and appeared to whisper to it, then it darted off with it's school. She swam in gentle circles lower down to where the girl was.
She'd never seen anything like /that/! Aquatics might have been ocean creatures, but fish ate fish themselves and aquatics were no different in their diet; Li had no issues with making a meal of the creatures.
She finally got down on level with the girl and made eye contact, then gave her head a curious tilt like a bird examining something it wasn't sure about.
Leviathan looked up, startled that the other was now at her level, but alright with it. Her head tilted, and slowly, /very/ slowly, and moved her hand out. Her fingers raised, and then suddenly touched the red hair again. She was fascinated with it! Her own blue gently rippled, twisting as she moved away and above the woman. She suddenly turned upside down, viewing Li from this new position as if this could make it easier to view her.
The fish returned, and for a second Leviathan swam off quickly. She was gone for a few seconds, returning with seaweed in her hands. Yup! Dinner! She made a move to nibble on some, stopping and splitting the seaweed and extending her hand to offer a piece to the new woman with pretty red hair.
Li reached out and took the piece with a nod of thanks, nibbling on it. Seaweed wasn't her favorite food item out there, but it was actually not as bad as some people thought. Salty and a bit savory at once. She had to go slowly if she ate underwater, the piece inching bit by bit through lips opened barely wide enough to let the sea greenery in, in order to keep the ocean water it grew in out.
She gave the girl another curious look. Could she eat under the water as well as everything else she did? Thus far she still hadn't got to the surface for air. The girl's fascination with Li's hair was also greatly amusing to Li. The color was attractive to some of the fish around here as well, and she'd been nibbled on more than once.
And she could eat underwater! Easily doing so as the other took the seaweed. She was pleased, actually, despite her poker face. Someone had accepted her present! She swam around her "friend", pleased as punch as she ate the seaweed. However, her stomach grumbled once more, causing yellow eyes to narrow briefly, folding her legs and sitting up within the water. Food. She needed more. She kept forgetting how hungry she was after her long naps! But.... this red haired fish woman was far too intresting to just ditch....
Li giggled as she heard that rumbling sound again. She wasn't surprised, the handful of kelp that those fish had brought her wouldn't be enough to satisfy hunger. She reached out and lightly plucked at the girl's deteriorated clothing, then swam forward in a quick burst with a few flicks of her tail.
Li turned and looked back at the girl, making a follow gesture with her hand and swimming forward a few more feet, slowly. If her memory wasn't fault she knew where a kelp forest was around here. She'd been planning to go through it at some point today, so this actually fit into her plans.
The pluck caused her head to raise, confused. What did that mean? Was that a new way of speaking? Was this a new custom? That follow gesture was enough to make her understand, Quickly, Leviathan followed, not as cautious as one should be. Nope. Cautious. Hah! What word was that? Bah humbug. Anyway, if someone annoyed her enough she could defend herself... Rather swimmingly. Ha. Pun....
Li was pleased to see the girl was following her. She turned and resumed swimming forward, keeping the pace relaxed but with a sense of purpose about it.
As it turned out she was almost right about where the kelp forests were. The swim to the spot only took about five minutes; there was a moment of confused wheeling as she when she saw only stretches of coral and not the kelp she was looking for, but after a few moments of darting here and there was she almost to locate the plants.
It was like an underwater forest, the strands of kelp rooted to the ocean bottom and growing up towards the surface at heights about the same, or even taller, than those of trees on land. Li flashed the girl a quick grin, then darted into the underwater forest, weaving about the plants and startling some of the fish swimming there.

Li: -She discovered a pond in the middle of this weird gathering place and is happily splashing about and swimming.-
Elliot: *Basking in nature he hears the sound of someone playing in water. Curious he stalks closer, peeking out from behind a tree to spot a pretty aquatic enjoying herself in a pond. Eyeing her he slowly slinks from his spot, a suave smile on his face as he waits for her to notice him*
Li: -As she dove underwater and did a little flip, a splash of color caught her eye. She wiggled closer, still underneath the surface, and peered curiously at the colorful male. Tilting her head back and gathering up the remaining air in her lungs, Li opened her mouth and filled it with water, then sent a little jet shooting at the male in a fit of playfulness.-
Elliot: *He watched her attentively with his eyes, never taking them off her. She was like an actual fish but more graceful and he wanted to jump in there with her but wasn't sure he wouldn't scare her off, which wasn't what he wanted. However when he saw her peek her head out of the water he got excited, thinking she might talk to him, instead getting slammed with water and causing him to yelp slightly. Shaking his fur he gave a large smile at her before canonballing right by her, hoping to splash her just as badly as she had done to him*
Li: -She had to bring her head above the water to get a new breath of air after squirting out that jet. As soon as she saw the look on the male's face she giggled, sucking in a new breath and diving under right before he landed in the water next to her. With her scales and tail she was able to swim much faster than the normal and zoomed around him like a fish all while mentally giggling, lightly tugging at his tail before darting quickly away.-
Elliot: *Opening his eyes while under the water he gazed around and spotted her easily. Grinning without letting the air out of his lungs he swam after her, the urge to capture his 'prey' increasing the more she darted away and back*
Li: -She grinned and zoomed around the water in a game of chase, wondering how long the normal male would try to catch her before he tired out or had to go back to the surface for air.-
Elliot: *Wiggling to try to get toward her faster he slowly felt his lack of air leak out of him. He tried his hardest to hold out for as long as possible before dashing toward the surface, breaking through and taking gasps of air before looking around for the female, trying to locate her*
Li: -Her bright red head popped up to the surface six feet away from the male as she giggled at him.- "Can't catch an aquatic in the water, silly!" -With that challenge, she filled her lungs with air again and dove back under.-
Elliot: *Perking his ears at her words he knitted his brows and shook his head at her, a large toothy grin flashing across his face before he took a large gulp of air and sunk down before taking off after her. She might get ahead of him in the water but he hadn't grown up in nature for nothing. He just had to figure out how to out think her*
Li: -She swam all the way to the bottom of the lake, blue eyes shining almost like a cat's in the murky bottom water. Her visibility was better down here than that male's, but she was also very visible so it didn't mean she was able to properly hide like some of her kind. She floated around deceptively slow, tail moving back and forth and lazily pushing her through the water; all it would take was a single fast motion and she could dart forward like a fish. She looked up towards the surface, keeping an eye on the male and watching to see what he would do next. He was proving to be an interesting swim-playmate, for a normal.-
Elliot: *Following her down to the bottom he floated above her, not stupid enough to go down to her level just yet. He eyed around her to see if he could figure out a way to distract her. Deciding he had only one option he let his tail go above his head like a sharks fin and grinned to show his fangs going playfully slow up to her in a way you could almost hear the Jaws theme song*
Li: -Though she couldn't make a sound under the water without losing air she very obviously giggled at the male and his playful shark-impression. Li spent time in the ocean before and had seen sharks, and thought the male was doing pretty good. She gave her tail a few deceptively lazy flicks, and sped forward through the water several feet before making a sudden turn. She floated for a moment in the water, completely still, then suddenly shot forward towards the male.-
Elliot: *Trying to keep at a faster pace so he could keep up with her he jumped when she shot at him, nearly allowing lots of bubbles to escape his mouth as he grinned at her*
Li: -She used her tail to steer as well as propel her, gliding past the male at the last moment rather than running into him. She slowed and did a curious little half circle around him, examining his bright patterns and the way the light from above rippled over them.-
Elliot: *Instead of grabbing her like he considered he tried nipping at her tail instead before turning back her front to smile. He was going to have to take a breath soon but he didn't want to disrupt her admiration though. He enjoyed being eyed and it nearly made him preen. Maybe he could get this girl to have children with him. They would make some pretty babies*
Li: -She nimbly flicked her tail out of the way, shooting the male a playful grin. She darted away again, but not before ruffling his bright blue fur with her tail as she went. It was a very nice blue. His colors would look great on an aquatic!-
Elliot: *Biting down on water he laughed as she ruffled his fur, effectively emptying his lungs and forcing himself to the surface for another couple breaths. He tred water for awhile and used his tail like a propeller*
Li: -She could hold her breath for a lot longer than the male, and circled curiously underneath him as he treaded water, examining his tail and the way the movement make it look like waving underwater plant life or those funny little corals. She flipped upsidedown so that she was looking up at the surface and slowly drifted underneath the male, then in a sudden fit of playfulness leaned up and nibbled one of his back feet before pointing her head to the bottom of the lake and diving down and away from him.-
Elliot: *Feeling the tickle he suddenly got feisty. Taking another big gulp of air he dived quickly down, all predatory skills on high and his speed increasing as he sped after her*
Li: -She heard/felt the sudden change in water pressure and put on an extra spurt of speed without looking over her shoulder. She suddenly changed directions, not so much a 180, more like a 150, shooting up towards the surface at an angle.-
Elliot: *Frustrated with her elusiveness he continued with his attempt to catch her only to slow and make his way calmly to the surface. Maybe he could fool her into coming close enough to him....*
Li: -She burst through the surface of the water, nearly completely coming out of it; she needed a breath of air herself now, after that sudden bit of exertion. She stayed on the surface, floating like a crocodile with her tail out behind her, grinning a little as she caught sight of the male on the surface, watching her. She giggled and splashed water at him, though since they were about ten feet apart it didn't reach him.- "Told ya you couldn't catch me in the water!" -She drifted lazily on the surface.- "You got a name?"
Elliot: *Coming up from the water he watched her with shining eyes. She really was pretty. He tried to picture what their kids would look like, beautiful aquatics with his plant markings or normals with bright red fur. Maybe normals with aquatic tails. That would be an interesting feature. He hardly even blinked when the splash came near him and instead swam a bit closer with a seductive smile* Elliot. You? *His voice was deep and he hoped it had the desired effect. He doubted he could get kits out of her in the first meeting but he'd heard stories that he might be delightfully wrong.*
Li: -She gave the male an impish smile.- "I'm Malila." -Suddenly she dove back under the water again. Then, quicker than before, she popped up at the surface only a few seconds later...an a good several feet away from where she'd been earlier. It looked like she was circling Elliot.- "You must be really bored if you got nothing better to do than chase aquatics around in deep water."
Elliot: *Eyeing her smile he felt his grow even more. He liked girls like this. Watching her closely he felt himself the prey and shivered excitedly. Elliot had never been able to decide which position was sweeter when it came to the act of mating, being predator or prey. Shaking his head to her question he splashed her with water in response, hoping she could understand his words in his actions. He never did like speaking much*
Li: "Hmmm. Well that's so bad I guess." -She grinned again.- "After all, it's not like I had anything to do either except chase a fluffy-tail who thought he could out-swim me."
Elliot: *Laughing at her cocky attitude he used his tail to try to splash her again, swimming closer again and watching the way she swam. He hadn't met a lot of aquatics and he wondered if she was a superb swimmer or if all aquatics were like this. He wanted the chance that his future kids would be the best.*
Li: -Content to just float on the surface of the water, tail waving lazily in the water.- "You ain't much of a talker, huh." -She splashed a little water at Elliot.- "You swim much?"withElliotplayed byCrimsonCutie666 statusDone
Malila: -Walks out, this time there is no water to swim in. She hangs back away from all the other Noodles in the area, feeling extremely shy out of her element.-
Elliot: *Out on the prowl for some fun Elliot can't help messing around with the nature around him, bouncing off of logs and sticking his nose into nooks and crannies completely unaware of things around him.*
Malila: -Spots the male she met about a week previously, feels even more shy at the thought of meeting with him on land after she was so saucy in the water.-
Elliot: *Seeing some red out of the corner of his eye, he lifted his head to figure out what exactly had that color. Spying the female from before he grinned and slowly slunk toward her, wondering what an aquatic is doing out of the water.*
Malila: -Squirms a little as Elliot approaches, conscious of her bright colors that make her stand out.- "H-Hello again."
Elliot: *Nodding at her he smiles but cocks his head at her stutter, gently pawing at her tail*
Malila: -Starts a little when her tail is touched, then hastens to apologize.- "S-Sorry!" -Offers a really shy smile.- "I-It's different seeing you on land, huh."
Elliot: *Cocking his head at the apology he doesn't understand why she's giving him one, plus the shy act was rather strange. He wasn't quite sure what changed since he last saw her but he had to sit down and just kinda stare a bit.*
Malila: -Fidgets, feeling reeeeally nervous under Elliot's stare and a little like an idiot for just sitting there. She wracks her brain trying to think of something to say.- "Um...- Ah..-" -Yup, that's all she's got right now.-
Elliot: *He's not exactly sure if her stuttering nervousness is humorous and amusing or horrifying toward his plans to bed her. He liked how she moved in the water but if his kids suddenly became new people once they came on land he might need to reconsider. Smiling he used his tail to tickle her nose, trying to get her to loosen up*
Malila: -Blushes furiously at the touch, tries really hard not to stutter at Elliot any more than she already has.- "Sorry. I've always been pretty quiet when I'm not in the water. It's just a confidence thing, can't seem to help it."
Elliot: *Understanding but still unsure how he feels about it he rubs against her side, dashing slightly away before turning around to look at her and run back, repeating the process. Hey, if he played her game in the water maybe she'd enjoy playing his on land.*
Malila: -Blinks at the tap and play Elliot does, though she understands the invitation. Shyly swats her tail at him as he dances close to her again.-
Elliot: *Grinning at that he circles her and tries to n** her tail before skirting off even futher and looking back expectantly. It wasn't going to be much fun if she just stayed in one place.*withElliotplayed byCrimsonCutie666 statusOpen
Li: -Wanders into the room, a bit bolder this time upon recognizing some of the surroundings, though still with a bit of shyness to her step.-
Elliot: *Slipping into a bit of nap he has his tail draped over his eyes*
Li: -Spots the sleeping Elliot. Slowly walks over to him, almost like she's sneaking though walking quietly and trying not to draw attention to herself was pretty natural to her when she was on land; aquatics only had the advantage in the water, it made perfect sense in her mind. She couldn't help but feel a stir of playfulness though, reaching out and lighting brushing one of the color male's ears with the tip of her tail.-
Elliot: *Feeling the tickle at his ear he flicks it, and bats the person next to him with his tail before peeking an eye open and grinning sleepily at the red femme*
Li: -She laughed silently.- "Hey. Hope I wasn't interrupting a good dream."
Elliot: *Smiling he shook his head and bopped her on the nose with his paw. He wasn't sure how exactly to convey he dreamed in colors and scenery so instead he just shook his head again and laughed*
Li: -She returned the smile. It was still shyer than when they were swimming, but not as timid as the first time he'd caught her up on land.- "Well that's good. I'd hate to have interrupted something pleasant."
Elliot: *Still slightly asleep he pressed his nose to hers, a little contented purr leaving his throat and a lazy smile on his face*
Li: -Intrigued by his purring sound and his whole sleepy manner. Curiously she reached out and began petting him in that hard to reach spot on the neck, just under the ears, working her way under his fur and giving the skin a good yet gentle scratching like one would with a cat.-
Elliot: *Perking up at that he melted under her touch, the purring becoming louder and him tilting into her petting. He hadn't had THIS done to him before. There was grooming of course, but not this sort of thing. He wasn't sure what to call it but he liked it.*
Li: -Giggling at his reaction, she continued her little scritches, keeping them slow enough that she didn't actually scratch Elliot but steady enough that they actually were more than something like poking. Occasionally she'd moved her paws a little, suddenly dropping down then going back to the original spot or moving forward or back, keeping up a constant pace.-
Elliot: *He continued purring as she pet him, not at all fazed by it because he was enjoying himself and he wasn't going to make her stop doing something he was enjoying and she seemed to not mind very much* <3
Malila: -She giggled, still greatly amused. Even though she knew she probably wouldn't get much of an answer, she couldn't help but ask.- Do you do this everytime someone pets you, or has no one ever pet you before?
Elliot: *Slowly opening an eye to look at her he leaned into her hand and shook his head twice, a no to each question*
Malila: -Gets a speculative look, then moves from just stritching along his head and neck and moves to his back and sides, using both of her paws to cover more area.-
Elliot: *Sighing happily he stretches out, still slowly blinking at her and finally deciding he should talk* You do this often?
Malila: -Slows her ministrations a little so it's more at the speed of a massage. She looked over at Elliot, a small smile playing on her face.- No, not often. Most of the time I'm in the water, and this kind of thing doesn't give you the same sensation submerged. And when I'm on land... -She shrugged, though her paws never faltered.- I've always had confidence issues on land. I was born to the water, but on land I'm barely even average. For the longest time I never came out of the water, and even when I did I didn't talk to others much. That mindset became so much apart of me without me noticing that it's a hard habit to break now.
Elliot: *Listening he made sure his ears were twisted toward her, to make sure he heard every word. He shook his head at her. She was an aquatic, of course she wasn't as great on land. We're built for being excellent swimmers, but we still depend on land. Kinda like otters, I guess.
Elliot: Cool. *Turning over he blinked up at her and cocked his head, wondering what she'd do next*
Malila: -Lets out a puff of air and very lightly taps Elliots nose the with back of her paw.- That didn't sound genuine. Am I boring you? -Her paws played around his new ruff now, admiring the brightly-colored fur as she did so.-
Elliot: *Blinking his eyes widen in surprise before shaking his head. He had meant that absolutely genuinely but he still wasn't the best at communication. Purring slightly again as she continued her petting he figured that he'd keep her around even after they had pretty red aquatic babies*
Malila: -She shook her head, her body vibrating with a held-in chortle that still made its presence known by an amused puff of air escaping her mouth.- We need to work on your expressions just a bit. So far all I've been able to read off you is when you're enjoying something, and since you don't talk much facial expressions are mostly what I'm going on.
Elliot: *Tilting his head toward her he cocked his head and ears, not enitrely opposed to the idea. Maybe it'd help get him mates! That thought made him very happy and he nodded hastily*
Malila: -Disentangles her paws from the floor, putting one back on the ground and readjusting her balance and tapping the other one to her chin thoughtfully.- Hmmm. I've never taught expressions before. I'm pretty sure it's all observational, watching adults and caretakers when you're little and other people around you, and over time it just seeps into the brain. -She looked down at Elliot.- Are you good at reading expressions?
