Efren pulled back. He looked to see if she was done. If she wasn't he would help her finish, but this time she was and the man offered to help her back up over the fence so that she didn't have to do it herself.

Maya raced over and quickly grabbed what she needed to get then headed to the fence she took the offer of getting up the fence from Efren. She smiled for the first time at him. She did not know why she did but she was doing it

Efren then pulled himself out of the killing zone. He was careful to make sure he didn't forget anyone and even grabbed a good bunch of arrows before going back over. He would probably get the rest when he was alone.

Maya questioned why Efren was being so nice to her. She started to head off to drop of the bag of tools that she was asked to get. She soon arrived and got the treats and sweets for the kids. She was soon on her way back to the orphanage.

Efren made his way back to the hut he lived in near the orphanage. Since he was done with his work for the night he could relax and eat some warm food. It wasn't long tell he was outside behind his hut and looking at the stars.

Maya came up to the orphanage and brought the treats and sweets for kids and put them in the kitchen. As soon as she walked out she was tackled by Sasha. "Hey big sis I had an idea. What if you and big brother Efren got married and then adopted Matthew and me? Maya could only smile at this. "There is one issue with that. I want to adopt you but I can't afford to take care of you both. The real issue though about your plan is that Efren may not like me all that much." She got up and took Sasha inside and put her to bed. As soon as she was done with that she went back outside and sighed. She too looked up at the stars. She took her hair down and allowed it to fall down her back.

Efren stood up and came around to the front of the house. He could see Maya watching the stars. He noticed her hair was down for once. The man didn't say anything and returned to his hut.

Maya saw Efren go inside his hut. "Like I said he does not like me." She climbed up into a tree. She closed her eyes and she was soon asleep.

angelmage99 While the carpenter took measurements Stephanie made a meal. She used what she had lying around the kitchen and not so much running around with her head cut off. She ended up with a stew made with deer meat and potatoes. She hoped he liked it. It was not something she did everyday. She also brought out some bread and placed it on the table. "Dinner is ready." By the time she was finished he had a few tables up. He worked quickly and efficiantly. Though when dinner time came he was glad and happily took a seat upon one of the stools. "Thank you so much." he said happily. Taking a bite he let out a ' mmmmm..' the food had hit the spot, the meat was so tender and delicious, the potatoes were firm yet soft inside, his tastebuds were having a party every time he took a bite. "So, how long have you been in this city?" he asked after a few bites. He would discuss about tables and such later, for now he kind of wanted to get to know her better.

The next morning after the morning walk Efren found Maya in the tree. He let out a sigh. "You know you shouldn't be sleeping like that." He scolded the woman in a loud voice hoping that she would way up. Stephanie smiled at him and sat down across from carpenter. "I've only been here two months. I'm kind of worried since it looks like they are going to force people into relationships. I wouldn't mind being a mother, but I don't wan to end up with someone who doesn't like me."

"Yeah I know what you mean." Damien replied glancing off to his side. "To be honest, I'm a little scared of finding love. I've spent so many years of my life watching those that I love turn into zombies. Though I've always wanted to be a Father. I guess we're both in the same boat." Now looking at her he smiled tenderly. "I'm surprised a beautiful brown-eyed girl hasn't been taken already. You also put time and care into the food you cook, I can tell I sort of have an eye for handiwork after all." he blushed shyly. "I just hope my tables will be sturdy enough. I'm Damien by the way." This woman seemed at least nice enough to befriend. After finishing his meal he relaxed a little. "That was very good by the way. You're very talented."

No Some Bio: Tina was trained as a Nurse before the attack, and after, well her skills became lax unless someone was needing a limb amputated due to infection. She was engaged before the attack, he died during a mass attack by the Zombies. Now she is just trying to get by in her new home "safe Haven" in hopes that maybe she can let someone in yet again.

Tina let out a sigh as she looked around the small town of "safe haven". She was new here, just finding the place after years of travel through the desolate waste land that the apocalypse had caused. It was a small town, much smaller than she was used to. But hell, as of lately the biggest town she had come across were 10 or so rough inbred red-necks looking to do ungodly things to the nurse.
She had heard about the town through the grape vine, it being the largest in survival population, and so she made her journey here, where she hoped her skills would be useful. But first was first, she needed to find a place to rest, she was tired, exhausted to be fact. Then she needed to find the towns local doctor and see where things could go from there..

Maya woke up hearing Efren scolding her. "If you saw where I really lived you would probably saying the same thing." She hopped down. "A tree in my opinon is a lot better than sleeping against the hard cement wall. "

Efren didn't care. "If you don't like something then change it." the man scolded her. He was a little demanding, but he refused to roll over for just anyone and he believed in the power of change. Stephanie could understand how Damien felt. She had lost so many family members because of the zombie outbreak. She missed her father most of all. The man who taught her to cook. She blushed as he made commented about her. "Thanks." She responded. She couldn't look him in the eye because of his comment. She could tell he was flirting with her. He wasn't bad looking. She could enjoy this. She moved up a bit and kissed him on the lips.
