Cathy lowered her pistol and holstered it, sighing with relief. In response to Trey's question she pointed back at Atticus. As each drop of blood hit the deck, the deck seemed to absorb it completely. Then a split second later, a rat would rise out of the deck where the blood drop had landed. "Blood tainted with Madness. That's where we get more rats from. We'll need more of them if we want to sur-" Just then something exploded from one of the thunderheads at an incredible speed, racing straight towards them:

























The massive beast was bigger than even an aircraft carrier. It made the Shadow Skirter look like a minnow. It came out of the sky like a freight train, it's massive jaws open wide. A deep groan escaped its massive gullet as it came towards them, its mouth almost blocking out the entire horizon. "Overdrive! Now!" Yelled Captain Rachel as the beast came, silhouetted by lightening. The engines of the ship exploded forwards, sending everyone tumbling across the deck. As it reached them the large, black eyes of the beast rolled back in its head, revealing only the whites. The beast ripped past them, missing them by inches as the ship rocked back and forth crazily. Many of the rats went flying overboard, but the rats were replaced almost as soon as they were lost by Atticus's blood and the empty positions were immediately re-manned. The beast dove back into the clouds, disappearing from view as Cathy and the Captain jumped to their feet. "It's gonna come back around!" Yelled Cathy. The Captain gestured to Trey, Cathy, Atticus and Shira. "Get over here!" She yelled at them.

Barely conscious and in a tremendous amount of pain, Atticus would hear Trey's voice and manage to smile, "Don't write me off as just another weakling. I am the former demon king. This wound is nothing." he said as Shira would then come and begin treating him, first by taking out the bullet, which caused Atticus to feel even more pain, but he chose not to scream and just endured it. As the bullet hit the deck, Shira would start trying to heal his wound. While she was healing him, Atticus saw the creature attacking and then heard the Captain yelling at them. Removing Shira's hand from his wound, which had not healed that much, Atticus would force himself to stand in a pool of blood, "It's too dangerous out here, lets go to the captain." he uttered as he placed his hand on the wound and forced himself to walk towards the Captain.

As Trey opened the page to the picture of the beast, he would see that it was called a "Sky Shark". It was carnivorous with a life-span of up to 200 years. It's diet was anything it could find and it was highly dangerous.

As they reached the Captain, she looked at each one of them in turn. "I'll give it to you straight. We probably won't survive this. We're still almost 10 minutes out from the enemy fleet and that thing won't stop trying to kill us until it finds more prey. If we can hold it off long enough to escape this thunderhead, we can lead it straight into the Steelforge fleet and have it take care of its business while we take care of ours. The only hard part is actually making it that far."

The rain continued to beat down on them as the Captain talked. "As it went by I saw a deep scar in its left-front fin. When it comes out of the clouds on its next pass it's going to head straight for us. If we can force it to weave just a little to the left or the right we might be able to skirt by it again. The only way to make it move is to hit that scar with enough firepower to open it up. That's really the only way one ship this size can really hurt it enough for it to even care." She looked back to where the sky shark had disappeared into the clouds. "If you have any projectile attacks, aim for the scar in that fin." Cathy drew her pistol and the Captain drew both of hers as they faced where the shark had disappeared into the sky. "Get ready..." the Captain told them.

Got it Trey closed his Eyes' as a flame shot out of one of his eye's .Trey pointed The pistol at the Sky shark . The pistol started to Glow yellow As he aimed Seals started to form around it Someone use soul resonance with me it will charge up the shot he yelled in a serious voice

Cathy looked back at Atticus with a small smile. "I aim to please," she replied. Just then the sky shark exploded from the clouds, heading straight for the Shadow Skirter. It's massive maw once again opened wide and its eyes rolled into the back of its head. "FIRE!" Yelled the Captain as she pointed both pistols at its scarred fin and opened fire. Cathy aimed straight down her sights and fired as well. From inside the ship the starboard cannons roared to life, crimson flame erupting from the turrets as the soul-resonance charged cannon balls raced towards the target, desperately aiming for a hit. The sky shark's mouth seemed to extend from its face as it came towards them, rows and rows of teeth ready to saw the Shadow Skirter to pieces.

This thing doesn't quit now does it Trey smiled AIR FLEET HERE WE COME Trey yelled as he felt the rain fall on his face before grabbing two pistols and putting them in his pockets for later Yo captain once we get there we just let big ugly handle the rest
