Not knowing how to handle this all Balin moved to Morri and pressed to her side, seeking comfort in it all.
Kuma nodded, "Father is right. Your instincts may not be able to help you this time. We will be here for you during it all. And I will be taking over guard duty." Turning to Hoshi, "Sweety come here." With a nod the calico female came to him, "You'll be in charge of making sure Fue has everything she needs."

Moirrana wrapped her tails around Balin to give him some comfort. "What do you need me to do then brother?"
Kutai smiled and nodded to Kutai. "I will handle food gathering and add to protecting our home. Kuma - I think it's time you showed your mettle. Until those kits are born I am stepping down as Patriarch."

Heaving a sigh Feuga didn't feel like arguing with them. "Alright then, Morri..... You'll be taking my place..." Getting to her paws she left from the central chamber and made her way to the back of the cave, to her own room, with no other word to the rest.
Marri-mac's ears wilted down and watched her mother figure walk away.
Kuma nodded to his father then turned to his sister, "Seems you already have your place in this. Keeping the clan in line. And I would greatly appreciate your assistance in looking after our domain. The small valley and the trees and mountain that surround it is our territory. Mother was always the one patrolling it to ensure no interlopers tried to trespassers here."
Bryson shouldered up to his older sister, Hoshi, "Seems things have gotten really serious......"
Hoshi nodded to him, "Seems it has."

Kutai projected one last thing before Fuega disappeared into her own cave. I love you dearest.
After that was all done, he stood and stretched, keeping his head lowered he contemplated the next cycle. Perhaps it's time I got my fire back for good.
He looked at Kuma attentively. "What would you have me do son?"
Moirrana stood up and stretched as well, exactly how Kutai did. She was definitely a father's daughter. "I'll go ahead and make some rounds." She looked at Marri-Mac. "You're welcome to come with if you want to MM."

She didn't reply back to him. Feeling defeated in some way she pulled the hide curtain at the mouth of her dwelling closed then made her way to her bedand settled down. What a mess I have found myself in. A paw ran over her abdomen, This time I will have a better idea of what is happening.... but it seems I am den bound......
Kuma thought, "We'll need fresh fire word for tomorrow. It would be efficient to gather it now so tomorrow we can focus on hunting.... I'll see if I can hunt down something for mother to eat... I don't think she's had anything since earlier..."
MM looked to Morri, "M..m..me? You want me to go?"

Kutai nodded and began to make his way out of the cave. But before he got out completely, he turned his head back to the family. "I know you'll do us right, son. I have faith in you." he said before disappearing into the woods to find what was required.
Moirrana smiled and nodded. "Only if you really want to. You look like you could use a stretch and a breath of fresh air. That and the company would be appreciated."

MM nodded, "I... I think it would do me some good." and she headed towards the front of the den.
Kuma nodded to his father, "I won't let you down." Turning to the others, "Bryson. Balin. Keep the others safe while we are out. " the two nodded in acknowledgment. With that he headed out to hunt in the fading daylight.

Moirrana waited until MM reached her before trotting off to scour the territorial line for interlopers, intruders, trespassers, and game to hunt.
What? She's hungry!
Kutai went off into the forests to gather wood. He bit off a large vine and wrapped it around large chunks of wood as an improvised rope - and he went on from there.
A pair of red eyes stared into the cave from under a heavily shadowed rock cropping just outside the ancestral home of the Flameheart clan.

"Is there anything I can get you Grandmaw, " Hoshi asked from the other side of the closed curtain.
With her back to the opening, "I'm fine. I just want some alone time...."
MM trotted to keep up, "Do you think everything will be ok?"

Moirrana huffed a puff of purple flame. "Honestly MM...I don't know. I can hope for the best, and I have faith in the family, but this is something entirely new." she said as she hopped a few thick vines with ease.
Zakariah grinned and made his way nonchalantly to the cave. Now that the primary protectors were gone, it would be easy to terrorize some poor, hapless souls. He laughed maliciously as he walked.

Ears perking up Bryson turned to the entrance, "Hey.... bro.... I think we have company...."
Balin moved closer to listen, "Everyone...to the back....... Stay new Geegee's dwelling..... I don't know who this is.... but I don't want to risk anyone getting hurt. By him...or me...."
Folding her ears back Fuega closed her eyes.
MM followed her, "But...there is evil in her now......."
Kuma easily stalked down a pack of wild pigs and picked off a small one. He wasn't aiming to feed the full clan. They had already had their fill. It was his mother he was worried with. With the creature clamped in his jaws and blood running down his chin the five tailed mail made his way home.

Moirrana stopped to catch her breath and survey her surroundings closely. She didn't see anything at all, so she started walking just to make sure. "Granted, but there is enough love in this family that maybe that evil won't be so bad. Good and evil can change with enough time and influence."
Zak smiled evilly and bared his fangs, followed by spanning his red-tipped black wings. "Oh, someone's here all right. No one special, just here to cause some havoc, steal your food, and possible maim a few of you who would hilariously think they can take me down."

Balin growled deeply at him, "Leave us be. Now is not the time to trespass here..."
Bryson stood by his younger brother and waited.
Blaze ran up to join them, "The others are where you said go Ba."
Amaya moved to Hoshi, "We've got trouble." she panted. The boys are holding off an invader in the front chamber.
Hoshi suqeaked, "Oh no..... Grandpaw and father both are gone..."
"I'm still here." a deep grumbling voice called from the other side of hanging hide. Brushing past them she walked in a stalking manner, "I need to work off some frustation."
MM looked to, "Do you really think love can do that?"
Kuma was nearly half way back to the den. God I hope everything is ok....

Zakariah laughed with a remarkably calm demeanor. The look in his eyes when Fuega came out seemed murderous. "Oh my oh my, look at the queen b***h now. You must think you're really something special to talk to me as an equal. Shall I knock you down a peg or two? It's not like knocking you up will do any good." He said, taking a defensive stance, his eyes locked onto hers intently.
Moirrana nodded and smiled. "It helped mother, didn't it?"

"Boys.: her eyes never left him, "To the back. I'll need some room."
"But Geegee!" Balin started to interject. "NOW!" her yell made the the jump. A growl rumbled in her chest, "You picked a bad day to ******** with me. I'm not normally kind and now I'm just in a real nice, pissed off mood." Bryson had to phisically pull Balin away, "Come on little bro. It is better to just stay out of her way..." "But we were left in charge to protect her!" the red male struggled. "Yeah. You see that look in her eyes? She's two insults away form going back to her old self. And I don't want to be infront of her when she does."
Standing bold she watched him with emotionless eyes, "Why have you come here? This area belongs to my clan."
MM blinked, "was she really that bad?" it was hard for her to imagine.
