[ Molan is entering the Gold Kingdom (Kashi too sorta. ]
(( lololololol 1 ))
The pair had limped, hobbled, and managed to get home with what was left of them. Which really didn't feel like much. Still, it was something of a bonding thing to have to practically carry each other 'home.' As Kashi would have put it anyway.
Still, it was good to see the brilliant rolling colors of the kingdom as they drew near, and the pair seemed to have gone for where everyone had been before. Molan had even felt wel enough at that point to wander on his own, walking in just in time to hear the kind words of the Empress. Thank the gods. He really did need a bath and... something... anything. And another shoe. A shoe would be good. He'd lost a sandal somewhere.
"That... would be appreciated." The rather torn up, and weary man mumbled under his breath, looking far from the proud one who'd left earlier.
The clothes handed to him weren't anything fancy. Rather, quite simple with a touch of gold stitching to accent the colors. Plain as all get out for this kingdom, but for a silver... well they were still nicer than what he'd been wearing. And not the least bit torn, bloody, or covered in much he didn't want to talk or think about. A weak smile, all he could muster, was offered to the woman as he accepted the items. "Thank you." With that, he wandered in the direction she gestured at the mention of baths slowly, intending to get the grime off, and clean out the scratches and sch he had. Then he'd wear that nice new set of clothes and honestly...
He was sure he'd feel a million times better. Just one nice warm bath away.

[Entering]
Lifen's warm bubbly self was a welcome sight as Kiwi filed in. His feet were sore from the climb up the tower, not to mention the fall back down it. His poor fan was a bit frazzled, and his robes sodden with dust and debris. The moment he arrived, he smiled and did something odd for a noble. He wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her in a tight embrace. "So glad to see you're well Lifen." Before stepping back to accept the clothes offered with a humble bow.
They were fine, as fine as his own, and a bit warm to the touch. Had she warmed them for them as well?? ...
Bowing again, he excused himself for a moment to a corner of the room, changing behind a gilt paper screen. His fan was placed atop the soiled clothes, and replaced with a new one nearby, which he held gently as he made his way back to her.
"That's much better, thank you kindly for the fresh clothes." It warmed his heart to know their Empress had such a kind soul. "That was quite a challenge, a pity this is only the beginning of a long battle." He fanned himself gently and glanced down, seeming to notice the light wound on her leg. His face softened and he gave her a gentle nudge. "You should be careful to take care of yourself as well. A king may be nothing without his kingdom, but neither is a kingdom without its queen."

Oh well the lady was off and back. A bath did sound nice. Looking at the clothes she was given, Verusha turned them over in her hands, to give a full inspection. They were alright, but she wasn't one to complain. Giving her thanks, she went off to go get cleaned up.

((Entering)) Shaheen felt horrible. Covered in filth, her arms and shoulders cut, scraped and bruised. A headache throbbed in her temples, and in a desperate attempt to alleviate the pain she had let loose her hair, fingers running through a mass curly, golden hair that fell in an unruly mess around her shoulders. The tower had been a trial, to say the least, but one she felt that her team had completed to satisfaction. She strode back into the Kingdom proper with her head held high, despite her appearance, eyes searching out one individual and one individual only. "Lifen." She called out to her Empress, veering in her path and heading directly towards the smaller woman, a small smile alighting her lips. "You look awful. Do you feel well?" Never mind the fact that Shaheen herself felt like even at Lifen's worse nobody could come close to matching her beauty. This she kept to herself.

He heard her voice.
In truth, he'd heard everything. The whole story. He might have completely forgotten the woman who was stepping on him, in light of that voice. The tower had collapsed on her. The tower that he'd left her in. The tower he'd stormed out of, leaving her alone, after she'd said-
Bastion turned his head down into the dirt, glad that she hadn't seen him. He'd be glad if she never saw him again.

[entering] Acerium stumbled back to the kingdom, an armful of purified flowers in her hands. She felt very proud of herself. A deep sense of pride in her role and her kingdom.... both silver and the kingdom she shadowed. "I brought... Lotsa... pretty flowers..." she said, as she collapsed into a pile of messy muddy robes, miasma flowers, and exhausted headachy misery. edit: "Bath... clothing... would be... nice..." she murmured before she passed into semiconciousness, snuggling into the soft, lovely clothing that had somehow been given to her. Nerpin You... may have to drag her

Quote: 6-9: Handing you the fabric, she looks at it and kind of rubs it between her fingers. It seems like really good quality, almost as if a noble had been cornered in the hallway by the little woman and told to take that shirt off RIGHT NOW. You'll never know if that happened, though. No. No, this wasn't the kind of man Bastion was. He wasn't just going to sit in the dirt and cry over some woman. Some damn woman. He pushed himself up, his face caked in dirt, and narrowed his eyes. The Empress had secured bathing and clothing for them, and by the gods, he was going to go and take advantage of her hospitality. Then, after a nice, hot soak, he was going to get dressed, and move on. And that was how things were going to be. Proud of his new outlook on life, Bastion stormed off to the baths, pushing his way inside until he was at the springs. He stripped off what was left of his dirty clothing, and stopped just short of diving in to see Molan sitting within it. Well. If only he'd met the man this way, there would have been no confusion. He walked into the spring, put his arms up behind him, and let out a long sigh as the heat seeped down to his bones. "Sorry for the mix-up." That was all he had to say to the man.

It was amazing what a good, rest and bath could do for ones poor ragged soul. He'd rested briefly in the baths before actually getting to cleaning, checking each of the wounds he'd received to ensure they looked... cleansed enough? Yes, that worked. An infection wouldn't do well if the coming days were to be anything like today. He winced as he ran a hand over his rather torn up arm. It was healing a bit, but he was a bit concerned it would leave a mark. The vain part of his mind panicked a bit at the thought before he shook his head and dismissed it. He instead turned to working the tangles out of his hair, ensuring any and all muck was gone before dumping another bucket of the warm water over his head and sighing as he closed his eyes. The gold kingdom really wasn't that bad. He'd probably been to harsh in judging them earlier. Certainly, they were doing all they could to help themselves. And even his fellow refugees. They were treated the same, being given from the pile that everyone else was, and offered the same options. While he'd been rather... vocal about his dislike. They weren't the type to abandon those striving with them. If anything, his trek through the Labyrinth showed that. He'd tried to leave behind the other fellow many a time and he'd always come back, even half drug him home. The long and short was that these people, while not his own, weren't all bad. And far from it really. He opened his eyes again after a moment before shifting slightly at the sound of someone else entering, cringing a bit at who it was. And the fact he'd just ended up seeing more than he wanted. Though, the words did help to ease concern a bit. Apparently, that was niiiice and done. For the best really. "Right." He replied, tone flat. He quickly looked off, choosing to stare in the direction of some bushes instead. He didn't want to argue at the moment, and went back to working a knot out of his hair. It wouldn't do to look a mess after all. "Long day." He added, still looking down as his hair as he spoke absent mindedly.

Bastion was not one to look away. In fact, it eased his mind to look directly at the man, because, naked, it was far more obvious that he was speaking to someone male. And that helped. A lot.
"Looks like it was a little longer for you, than me!" He couldn't help but notice how badly beaten up Molan was. "But I guess, you probably did better than me too. Most of my injuries are internal, anyway." There was no way to really explain how the only thing Bastion had broken today, was his heart.
"So, what do you think so far? You like our kingdom?" Well, and why wouldn't he? He was sitting in a hot springs resting from the day. If there was a kingdom worthy of winning, and worthy of living in, it was definitely this one. "I'll tell you a secret, if it helps." Bastion leaned in, his eyes lidding. "The female population is severely over-saturated."

He didn't particularly enjoy being starred at, but also felt no reason to oppose it. It wasn't any sort of 'lusty' look, so he didn't have any reason to worry. "...that is... to debate." He wouldn't be one to judge it, he felt the entire day was a great failure. A painful stain on his record. But, again, it was all up to opinion. As well, he felt no need to explain his flowers had turned to dust before his eyes. Not that some of the others seemed to have fared any better. He paused in his combing out his hair with his fingers at the question, brows knitting. Especially the last bit. He wasn't one to particularly care about that, but he found it funny the reason he was considering a 'like' for the country as a whole was for the more rare gender. "It is a pleasant place." He replied, closing his eyes again as he shoved his hair back over his shoulder and briefly glanced at Bastion. "I nearly forgot... Thank you again for... helping me not break my back." He stated, letting out a tired sigh as he slumped a bit into the warm water to relax. "Though by our statement I would be ruining that ratio for you, you know." He also hadn't forgotten what Mjoll said about Bastion quite liking the fairer sex.

The more Mjoll revealed the less things made sense. Mengyao's eyes drew together in simultaneous confusion and frustration. Whatever it was that they had heard down from this "Chalice," it dealt with all of them.
"A throne made of the purest power." It was a tantalizing image, filled with promises, with questions. He could see it in his mind as clear as day - the beginning of the end, the end of the beginning, the rise of the Kingdom of Gold and the downfall of everything else
He would live to see that day.
"Thank you, Mjoll," Mengyao murmured. "You have been quite...illuminating."
His eyes flickered towards Scarlett, and he gave her a small nod, pressing his lips together. "You have returned with pride," he said quietly. "I thank you - I thank all of you - for your willingness to serve Edric to the best of your abilities."
Mengyao's eyes moved across the throngs of people milling about, searching until - he saw her, just ahead. His heart skipped a beat (traitorous heart), and he almost went over to talk to her, but she was busy, moving among the subjects of the kingdom and doling out clothing to those who needed it.
After a long moment he tore his gaze away and moved it to another, something flickering in his eyes.
"Kiwi," he said quietly. "I wish to speak with you."

Mjoll nodded, "I'm sorry I couldn't bring you more than tha--" she paused "Oh wait there was one more thing..."
"After the Chalice finished talking everything drained and these white Crystals formed, like they wanted to eat us." She added before the king left.
She then noticed Lifen handing out clothes. That reminded her she should probably go get her own clothing. However she moved closer to the empress instead. "Do you need more clothes to hand out?" She asked, as she pulled her hair from her bun.

Bastion snorted when Molan apologized. "Hey, you're right. I did kind of save you, huh. Guess you owe me a life debt." Normally, that kind of thing was offered, not claimed, but Bastion was no normal man. "Well, I'll try to remember that if I ever need that debt repaid! Since you can't pay me with your body, at least." He waggled a finger sharply. "And no, you can't change your mind and pay me with your body. I'm very certain now, I like girls, and - "
He shut up, because somewhere, far off, Mjoll had taken her bun down, and his Mjollalarm had just gone off. This was at odds with what he was saying to the man, so instead, he shut the hell up.

(( Entering from Labyrinth ))
In came a rather somewhat ragged-robed, barely on her feet noble. Her hands were still clutched to her chest like they were holding invisible flowers and remained so even as the miasma she collected left her person to be absorbed by the kingdom. The emperor wasn't hard to spot, but he looked terribly busy and she was terribly tired and gods her hair was a mess and she nearly lost her mother's gold hairclip and she smelled like swamp and not even the banana mantra could save her right now. She just wasn't fit for court.
Stormy mumbled something along the lines of, "I come bearing gifts for His Highness," and ducked her head bashfully as she bowed. And then she scooted along, pressed her back against the wall, and slid to the floor with a heavy sigh.
She'd do anything her superiors asked, honest. Just . . . give her a sec to let the flowers' sting go away.

Giving the young lad from the Silver Kingdom his cloth, she couldn't help but feel a little bad that she had basically given him the simplest clothing she could find, before leaning close to him and pulling a long, elegant scarf and lightly wrapping around his neck before sending him off, giving him a little wink.
Hearing her name, she turned around almost too quickly, teetering under the weight of all the clothing and her own aching limbs, eyebrows raising as she caught sight of Kiwi and Shaheen, giving them both sweet smiles, just happy to know that they had made it.
"Your words are heart-warming, Kiwi, truly. I can only do what I must, and if it means the simplest things for those of this country, then I am all for it. Whatever it may be." She offered up to him, giving him a little wave with a sleeve from an unclaimed shirt, a silly reaction but she was a content soul, even if the odds kept falling in and out for them. She would stay as strong as they needed her to be. No matter the odds.
Giving him a little look, she peered up at the giant of a man, who had returned and started directing them again. "You are being summoned. I wouldn't make him wait, hmm!" she quipped, before turning to Shaheen.
"I am well - keeping myself busy has helped me forget about my little issues." She answered her, truthfully. Giving her a flick of her hair, before impressing her with the pile of clothing in her hands. "I am more worried about you, you look like you've been through the ringer - I want to see you healthier, please? Mind that Bastion is over there . . ." She asked softly. It was obvious that she wasn't in the "do this or else" mindset yet.
Looking to Acerium, she gave her a soft look, before turning back to Shaheen. "This sweet too, you both should take a long bath, and just rest while you okay, mm?" She offered.
"I will join you when I am done here, promise."
Turning to Mjoll, she couldn't help but give her a soft laugh, and a nod, short of holding up the smaller pile, smirking. "Just a little, if you'd like to assist. Two sets of hands are better than one."
