Shun rolled his eyes, hearing Riley, but just continued to sharpen and clean his blades.
His gaze befell the group of refugees briefly, watching them all carefully.
Especially the one that had grabbed him. Even if it was on accident. Shaking his head, he was about to reach for his next blade when he suddenly heard music playing through the air. Pausing, he lifted his head, and it was then that he heard it.
The voice.
It was time to begin. And he couldn't help but feel a chill run through him as he heard the condition of what was to happen to the kingdom that failed to bring back enough Miasma. It would fall. Grimacing, he gripped the blade a little more tightly. They would not fail. They would not become like the silver kingdom.
He didn't like the sound of the voice, but they had to do what must be done. Taking his bag of things, he stepped out briefly so that he may begin to put his armor on.
Time to suit up. He would be ready for his king's decision soon.

"As would I, dear fellow. The Voice would not have that, it would seem." A sad frown as she tucked the blueprints into the folds of her robe before turning to one of those from the Silver Kingdom.
"Ah, of course my dear. What would you like? I've got a green brew-" She was cut short by the voice, announcing that the tournament had begun.
Well...
She pressed a cup into the hands of Rosy, giving her a sad smile. "Drink up, war is upon us. A relaxed rope is of more use than a taught cord in the long run."

Rosy went still as she heard the music, followed by The Voice. A chill ran down her spine as it was confirmed by The Voice that there was indeed war upon them. She couldn't help but think of her own kingdom, wishing she was able to have done something. Instead, like many, she ran cause she really didn't have a choice. Taking the cup, she gives a small smile before she sips it.
"I suppose you are right, now isn't the time to panic." taking in a long deep breath, she takes another sip as she contemplates if she could be any help to this kingdom.

Hearing the Voice aloud came as a complete shock to the King, her eyes widening as she reached out to steady herself on one of the columns. Was it...was it addressing everyone this time? As in everyone could hear it? A quick look around determined that yes, this was indeed the case. However, rather than dwell on this fact, it was more important to list to what it had to say.
Miasma. Of course, and--was that the Silver Kingdom? Her stomach clenched at the sight of the destroyed land, and for a moment, Xiu had to turn away. She could almost see it in her mind, the way the Red Kingdom would fade and crumble beneath her very fingers. If they were to lose this tournament, then their home would be...
She shook her head, focusing back on the Voice as it flickered between images of the locations where the challenges would be held, and she did not miss the threat directed at the former Silver Kingdom citizens. However, she kept silent, lifting her hands and clutching them tightly in front of her chest until the Voice finally finished with an ominous warning, her voice caught in her throat at the brilliant shine that was their Miasma.

Xiu breathed out a sigh and rest her head against the column, squeezing her eyes shut as she considered the choices that were now weighing heavily on her shoulders. Was she really to divide her people between those three places? And it wasn't just the Red Kingdom citizens that she had to watch out for either, but there were also the newcomers who had dropped in.
"...Citizens from the Silver Kingdom," She suddenly straightened as she turned to look at them, the pleasant smile on her face gone, "I apologize, but it seems...you may have been caught up in this. I will assign you like I will assign my own people, but it is your choice whether or not you want to go. However, judging by the Voice's words, I fear...what would happen if you chose to remain behind."
"...those few survivors who remain will fight for Kings or find themselves with the same fate"--ultimately, it didn't sound as if they had a choice. Xiu was sincerely sorry that the five of them had been pulled into this, especially considering what they had just lost. Unfortunately, as always, there was nothing to do but to follow the Voice's commands.
She motioned towards Riley and Gene to discuss with her two Tortoises about how the group divisions would work, and then when they finally came to a decision, she cleared her throat and spoke loudly enough for everyone in the garden to hear.Quote: Tower:

Before too long, Shun had returned, fully equipped and ready for the trials ahead. Or as ready as he'd ever be at this point. Standing by, he nodded quietly, awaiting further orders. While the king assigned where they were to go, he kept a certain concern hidden away in the back of his mind. "Very well. I shall not let you down," the man said quietly before bowing to their Dragon. Letting out a breath, he turned towards the others he was to work with, looking them over individually. Silently, he nodded to them all, though his gaze lingered on Mot and Riley a little longer. Would they be able to fair through this? Neither seemed to be very well suited for all out war. But they had to make due with what they had. Perhaps he would be proven wrong. Without another word, he went on to make his way towards their destination. The labyrinth. ((Exit))

Clyde nearly choked upon hearing the voice. He swallowed the mouthful of food before catching whatever was left of the Voice’s announcement. It was terrifying, unpredicted, and unsettling in more aspects then one. However, this simply means it was time to fall into the rhythm of his new position as a stone lion. It might end badly, but…
The king’s speech cut off Clyde’s train of thought, and as he listened, he subconscious nodded at the Dragon of the Red Kingdom once as if in acknowledgement before heading towards his assigned location - The Ruins of the Silver Kingdom.

Rosy turns as she hears the King address not only her own people, but the five of them as well. Wait she wanted them to help, even though they were outsiders? Looking to the other four, she chews on her bottom lip before she listens to what she had to say. The King was right, she feared not helping just from what the Voice had told them. She didn't want to know what would happen if she chose not to stand up and fight.
Though she wasn't ready to give up who she was just yet. She would help them, just so this kingdom didn't meet the same faith as her own had.
At the mention that she was heading back to Silver Kingdom, she felt her heart flutter in panic. Could she really step back and see what had come of her home? Part of her didn't, yet she wanted to know what caused the collapse and now wanted to know if every single rumor that was spun was indeed true. Plus if there were answers to stop another kingdom from falling, she would do her best to help find them.
Setting the teacup down, she steps forward then bows to The King "I shall do my best, I will not allow this kingdom to fall like mine did." with that, she turns her eyes falling to the other four Silver from her kingdom, before she smiles to them "Be careful you four. I wanna see you all when you return." her eyes lingered on the young woman then to Spinar before turning away.
With that, she picked up her pace to catch up with those already leaving, so she could make her way to her home. Back to the Silver Kingdom

At the King's beckoning, Gene left her teas and made haste to converse with the Dragon and the other Tortoise. It had taken a bit of time to figure out who would go where, but eventually everything was sorted out. The Stone Lions would take the valley, their vitality and adaptability perfect to the trap lined location. The Phoenix and a guard of troops would be sent to the Tower, where she would be guarded and have the ability to overcome the wary obstacle. As for the rest of the court, plus one of the Silver Kingdom; the were headed for the Labyrinth, to find the Miasma flowers and cleanse them.
"My King." Gene smiled, pressing a kiss to Xiu's dainty hand/ "We shall reign - fear not." She turned to make way to the Labyrinth, silently reflecting on the day's events.
Rush not like the wind, but meander as the stream.

Yin was not fidgeting, but his fingers were restless, twitching with the need to do something, to act rather than stand in wait. His assignment was welcomed, and he took a moment to look at the others. It was hard not to notice the look the other knight gave him, appraising him, and in a weird way it was comforting, knowing that another was being so vigilant. But from what he remembered about the other man he was wary, knowing the King trusted him but having enough half-remembered rumors to not be completely at ease.
Some of the others were familiar to him, none that he was particularly close to. He nodded to Mot before glancing up, seeing a woman he knew that had been named Tortoise and following her. He had purchased tea from Gene before, and surely she would not mind a man shadowing her the gardens at a respectable distance. Merely within lunging range.

"Be safe," She warned them quietly, watching as the turned to leave, "Although there is little that I can do from here, the Red Kingdom will protect all of you--including our guests--from harm, so...may you all come back safely."
She bowed her head, and then fell silent as she everyone began to disperse. Trying to figure out what she should do for the day was difficult when she knew that her heart and mind would be focused solely on the safety of her people and the Silver Kingdom citizens who she had just sent out, but--
--The familiar sensation caused her to freeze, her head whipping up as she turned to stare intently at the palace building. Was the Voice calling her? Turning back, she waited until the last person left, murmured a quiet prayer for them, and then turned to hurry to her chamber.

There it was. The Voice. Etzer found himself closing his eyes and concentrating on it, and then glancing to his King once it had finished speaking. The ice mage's eyes lingered on her for more than a moment, taking in her poise, her beauty, her elegance, and strength...
He sorely didn't want to disappoint her.
Bowing low, Etzer zipped his coat up as he moved to head out, attempting to look stronger than he felt. He was representing the kingdom, and he didn't want to show any weakness than he could afford.

"wha, hey!" Demi exclaimed as Terra ran off to do terra like things, leaving him with the medic box and in her dust. "Did you just, i think you did, TERR, get back here!" he exclaimed. unbelievable, All he knew was to put a band aid on stuff, he was not qualified to administer first aid to anyone. But terra did trust him, So Than. get ready to be covered in bandaids. "one bandage over here.... and over there... and one right here...." with each passing second, the pup was applying another sticky adhesive to than's face and exposed skin. "Do you feel better?" he decided to ask at one point, it was about the patients comfort and ability to recover. The time for assessing his work was slim and he gave the visitor a nod when the call came to set out and begin their duties for the king. War had begun. 'I'm sorry Than, but I must go, duty calls." he stated sadly and pat the male on the shoulder. "You can watch after the flowers while i'm gone, if you want." The voice had called and the king had sent them all forth. It was time to see what kingdom would remain after all was said and done. ((EXIT))

The fireworks going off sent Kaguya on edge, it reminded her of what had happened back home. She soon relaxed when she saw the other girl relaxing and saying something about a celebration, she was going to have to ask the girl her name at some point. Kaguya gently placed her hand in the extended hand towards her and followed them and the queen, it was comforting to know they could at least have a bit of time to relax before things got down and dirty in the kingdoms. She let the girl pull her along until they reached the garden, she wanted to look around and observe her surroundings. If something happened while they were here, getting lost would do no good!
With the King’s words sinking in slowly, did this mean they were now fully working for her? Were they going to become red citizens now? Kaguya sighed softly; she had to stop worrying about everything for a bit, this was a time to have fun right now. As long as she wasn’t sleeping on the street and scavenging for food, she felt like she was in a pretty good place.
Until the voice happened and she felt herself disappearing altogether as she listened, if she closed her eyes in the process it didn’t matter. Kaguya wanted to swear, there was no relaxing in such times! She had to be wary at all times because each and every single time she did something horrible happened. The images of her destroyed kingdom did nothing to ease her wariness, it was a terrible sight and Kaguya knew then that she would never be able to go home. Her priority now was making sure the Red Kingdom made it through, it was official now, and this was her new home, new king and new comrades. She was going to do everything she could to protect them. In this case, it looked like gathering Miasma. This could be easy right? Could be like picking herbs or flowers?
Once everything was over Kaguya opened her eyes, the King seemed distraught as did everyone else around them, and her own face was probably ashen. The voice was giving them no choice, this the King was right about. It didn’t matter anymore though; she would gladly go to protect the Red Kingdom from falling like the Silver. The labyrinth for her had been a good choice, she was a herbalist after all and picking flowers was what she did best. Taking a deep breath, Kaguya made her way to her destination The Labyrinth.

Mot was left feeling so small after such a vision, his time with Riley cut short, not even a moment's breath enough to give him her name, or hers to him. Now, more than protecting his Kingdom, he felt an obligation to see his life used as a tool for a greater purpose. It was humbling, sad..
Mot nodded as he was sorted to a strange place to fight, leaving to quickly dress in some light armour before heading off with the others.

With that matter settled, somewhat, the Phoenix sighed. Fine, he had matters to attend to and mistakes did happen. Was she smirking at his cockiness? Not at all. Placing her fan safely in it's place, Levi was about to move back toward Gene, fireworks already underway glittering beautifully in the sky, when she noted her sister's condition. The Voice.
It was time to go.
We have our positions. I wish you all glory and... please do your best and come home safely.
Let's greet the remains of the Silver Kingdom.
