Shun was a little less than thrilled. He had a bad feeling about this when they mentioned twelve days of labor. Originally, he thought it'd be a 'normal' part time where they just check in and whatnot. No. It seemed they had to go through some portal. Grimacing, he gave a quick call to Mitsu to give her the heads up so she wouldn't be panicking over him being gone... just in case they were being kept there for 12 days straight.
Lizzy was excited. He wasn't. Especially when he heard they were making toys. Why did he sign up for this again? Oh right. Money.
Begrudgingly, he followed along until they were at the workshop. So this was the land of Christmas... The lycan might have liked this place. Maybe. He'd tell her about it later.
Once inside, he looked towards the others, then went on to get started. Might as well do this s**t. Looking over the conveyor belt as various heads were being spit out, he just stared. What the hell were these? He didn't take one.

So uh...wait. What did she just grab? This was...
...Hair, maybe?
...MAYBE?! After staring at the piece blankly, she slapped it onto her toy. Uhhh, done!

Sophie grinned at the baku. "I love sweets. Which is a shame since I cannot bake to save my life.. Er.. you know. I might take you up on that offer!" She glanced around the workshop, eyes still wide with wonder and fascination. It was different; but still so.. amazing. Tilting her head at Xiu, she raised a brow. "Is this your first time here? Have students come here before?"
The whir of the conveyor belt caught her attention again and she shook her head, remembering she was here to work. Quickly, she moved to the second conveyor belt only to find there weren't any pieces close enough for her to pick up. The whir of the belt stopped her from reaching across and so she simply skipped to the last assembly belt.

Ignoring the heads, Shun looked at the next conveyor belt that was spitting out various body segments. He frowned at these. Seriously. What the hell?
He didn't take anything from this belt either.

Mei only shook her head, grabbing something -finally- from the conveyor belt. What were these? Petals? Eh, oh well. They were something colourful, the kids could at least enjoy that.
"Not really. Its a welcomed break right now. Considering everything else that has been going on at the school. I mean, whats the worst possible thing to happen? I might end up punting a few elves?" At that comment, she would receive a look from an passing elf, to which she smiled sheepishly at.THIS IS ALL SHE HAS FOR TOY ONE! ITS BEAUTIFUL

It took some time, but eventually the black dog did manage to find another piece. This one was long and lumpy. It was hard to tell what it was supposed to be and yet...
He picked the abused head he had been kicking around on the floor, holding it up to the 'body' to compare. Yes. It would do and with that he dropped them both, kicking them around again while he looked for a third piece.

The third conveyor belt had... other things coming out. Staring hard, Shun picked up a set of... things. What the hell were these colorful petal things? How were they even supposed to stick on to the other parts? Kids actually played with these? Looking it over, he then just tossed the set of petals in to the finished toy pile. Maybe a kid could throw them at someone. Or something. He didn't know. The moral of this story was: don't let someone who didn't know the meaning of fun make your toys.

The last belt was interesting. Lots of spare parts that might have made sense if Sophie had managed to grab a body piece. As it was, she only had a head to work with and so she reached forward and grabbed the first thing that moved past her.
Was that.. Petals? Well.. it could work she guessed. Looking over what she had to work with, Sophie rubbed the back of her head. There wasn't much she could do besides make a flower. Tongue poking out the side of her mouth, she got to work and made what she believed to be the best flower toy ever created.

At last, after some painfully long searching, the black dog found, not another body, like he kept picking up, but a pair of eyes. But then... it already had eyes....
....
He slapped them over top, holding the plushie up to observe. It would have to do.

Giggling a little at the thought of punting some elves, Gene grabbed a pair of....googly eyes. Well, better than glitter, she supposed. Putting everything together and tossing it in a box, Gene looked back to her 'older sister.'
"Hmm...I guess so. A break from all the craziness will be nice; I just hope this stupid headache goes away. Maybe some coffee will help." She said, rubbing her head a little.
Wait...
"Mei...do they have coffee in Christmas town?"

With one toy done, she turned to beam at Sophie's words. "Great! I'd love to have you over for tea sometime, then! Maybe I can teach you to make something, and we can go over your clothes designs too while they're baking?" It actually sounded like a lot of fun to Xiu--she could definitely use some ghoul time, and Sophie was certainly very sweet. At her inquiry, she first shook her head, and then gave a little shrug.
"I haven't been here before, no. I think...some of the students who were enrolled a year before I came got to visit Christmas, but I'm not sure if any of them actually got stuck with this particularly task before." Smiling wryly, she turned to grab another doll head from the conveyor belt as it came by. "I've got to say that this is kind of fun though."

As Lizzy tried to fit her pieces together, she decided that she would make a caterpillar, even if this caterpillar had no cat ears. However, she was at a loss as to what to do with the plant part that she got... Should she make it into some sort of whacky green hair for this toy? Maybe see if she could toss it back onto the conveyor belt where she got it from?
After some deliberation, she decided to stick it on the end of the toy, taking inspiration from a certain minipet with glorious buttwings. Proudly, she named it...
As she was on her way to deposit her work, she noticed a boil with similar toy parts, and decided to watch him, curious as to what he was going to make.

Apparently Xiu's method of making toys didn't involve any particular strategy other than "grab whatever is closest before it passes by". In the end, she found herself staring at a very happy yellow head and a body that looked like it would be better suited the head she grabbed for the previous toy.
But oh well. She pieced these two things together, and then waited to see if there was anything else she could go for.

Mei gave the ghoul a look of sympathy when she spoke of headache. One perk to being a living doll, was that she rarely ever had those experiences, unless she was having trouble with her fear, or some other freakish event. "Er.. you might want to stay away from any of the food around here. Everything here is JOYful.. including the food." She warned the ghoul, not wanting to risk the possible chance of being infected by JOY herself.
Reaching for a new piece of toy from the first conveyor belt, she picked up what appeared to be... a green head with antenna? Weird little Christmas freaks..

Sophie's eyes sparkled. Tea, baking and showing off her designs? Was this baku possibly Sophie's soul mate? Shaking silly thoughts from her head - seriously, that's what fashion did to her - she nodded her head at Xiu. "That sounds fantastic. Maybe I can show you how to knit a scarf. It's really easy. Just a loooong rectangle." The ghoul found it hard to contain her excitement at making a friend. She'd spent he time before coming to Amityville - and the few days after she arrived - fretting over whether or not she'd make friends. It seemed all her worries were for nothing after all.
Plucking a head from the conveyor belt - the same one as before, Sophie giggled softly. "Yeah, I'm surprised. I was worried it was going to be hard work. Or something involving fire..." Fire was a bit of a stretch but the ghoul was undead after all.
