"Well we're about the same length of time along, so there is the chance we'll go into labor about the same time." Kai said with a slight frown. "We'll just have to hope that's not the case, or we won't be seeing each other until well after we're done."

"I don't want to go into labor at the same time. I want to be there to see you give birth." it was partly because she was curious and partly because she wanted to be their for him. She stopped as they ended up in front of the clinic. "Ready?" She asked her lover if he was prepared to find out the genders of their children.

"I don't know; are you?" Kai teased her with a smirk. He was more than happy to just wait until they were all born to see their genders, but he couldn't exactly deny Natalia the opportunity to see them when she was so curious and eager to find out.

Again Natalia stuck out her tongue to respond to his teasing. As she walked in "Who is going first?" She asked him with a curious tone. She walked over to the receptionist to get in and find out.

"You're the curious one here, you can go ahead and pick. Do you want to see your own kids first, or take your first glimpse at a pair of merbabies?" Kai said with a smile.

"You first." She answered as a nurse came around and started to push the couple into a room so they can take a view of their precious bundles of joy. Natalia pulled Kai towards the room before the nurse tapped the bead for him to lay down.

"You are eager, aren't you?" Kai chuckled a bit in amusement as Natalia pushed him inside. Before hefting himself onto the bed, he pulled his shirt off make the doctor's job easier. "Brrr...Why do doctors' offices always have to be so cold?" he wondered as he laid back. Starting to go with it, he was starting to get a little excited himself to see the little pair of fins swishing about in his belly.

Natalia's eyes were glued to the screen watching as she saw the two little merchildren. "Look we're having merpeople." She joked knowing that they would have turned out that way. "What are you having?" She asked not knowing how to look at their genders.

Kai grinned happily as he looked at the screen. "A boy and a girl." One hand reached to hold Natalia's hand, holding it at the side of his stomach so it didn't get in the way of the equipment. "See, the fins have slightly different shapes to them." he said while pointing his free hand at the screen to trace their tails. "The boys tend to hand slightly sharper fins than the girls, who tend to be a tad on the frilly, more curved side. A little more webbing to give them a more elegant appearance once they're grown up. So yeah. Ariel is a perfectly viable name." he said with a small laugh, amplified as he watched and felt one one of their little tail fins brush against and tickle his inner walls.

Natalia giggled. "We're not going to name her Ariel." She told her boyfriend. She thought about the names they gave their children. She knew that they would be made fun of if they were given names that were easy to tease. The doctor let the boy get up only for Natalia to take her place where he once was. "Ready?" She asked as she looked more at Kai's belly. After all they were going to be siblings once all four of them came out.

"I don't know; are you?" Kai teased her once more, this time with a warmer smile as he held her hand while his other hand gently rubbed her lower belly for a bit before the doctor took over.

Natalia stuck out her tongue. "I'm very excited." The teen commented with a grin. Once the doctor took over two little human figures appeared on the screen. She looked at the doctor and asked what she was having. The doctor soon responded with two girls.

"I see a lot of tea parties in our future." Kai joked with a small chuckle. "You're going to be a great mother." he said while giving her a kiss on the cheek.

Natalia was getting excited to have all of her children in front of her. She wanted to hug all four of them in her arms right now. "I see you wearing a dress." The woman joked with a laugh. She wanted to see Kai in a tea dress. "You know you'll make a great father." She added giving him a kissed cheek back.

"Well when I've got a tail it doesn't matter much." Kai said with a little chuckle as he helped her down off the bed. "Though you realize I'll have to stay in the water for a while at first, right? At least until my kids learn how to walk on land." he said with a bit of an apologetic smile.
