 She stopped moving her hands, her entire body shaking. "His experiments...they can't be used on humans. The test subjects die almost immediately. Or they suffer...I've had to kill before, because of those experiments."

 Dr. Fields didn't show any signs of being surprised. Even without a mind Dr. Rieux was the same as before. Back during the war he would obsess over the paranormal and exceptionally strong soldiers, trying to perform inhumane experiments such as ripping limbs off and attaching them to others. But... "Vhat do you mean you had to kill?" he murmured. "Did you vork vith him?"

"I volunteered in the hospital, and his experiments were dumped there," she said, her tone sad. "I had to be an Angel of Mercy for those poor souls. They needed an escape from the pain, and I delivered it."

Melody was already standing and pulling her tiny skirt and shirt on, the cloth shimmering as they melded together and created a pretty white dress that reached her knees and made her bust look somehow more voluptuous. "I will take you...but you must take me back with you. I can't be alone after I se these people...it's...unnerving."

He considered it as he slowly climbed to his feet, his body still partially dulled. "Fine. But you had better keep up." he grumbled and began walking, or stumbling, to the doorway.

The doors opened to the apartment and in limped the owner, Dr. Fields. His scowl still placed on his face, he walked in then turned and waited for his newfound comrade to enter. The apartment was simple, but papers were scattered and there was a hole in the wall that pointed to a fight that must have taken place earlier.

The doctor only grunted and stumbled towards the dining area, where he sat down with a loud heave. "Alright," he sighed - his German accent robust as ever - as he got settled into his seat. "Since ve vill be... 'vorking' together, ve might as vell learn about each other." He motioned with his cane for the boy to sit down at one of the empty chairs against the table. "Sit und tell me about yourself."

Fields seemed to consider the information given to him as he pulled out a box of cigarettes from a nearby black hole. Marlboro Lights 100s, not his favorite, but he'd take it if it was there, and in this case it was. "So you have complete control of shadows?" he asked while lighting the cigarette between his lips. After taking a long inhale, the doctor leaned against his seat and let a duo stream of smoke come out of his nose. "Teleportation? Shape-shifting? Weapon creation? Can you do all of that?"

"Not exactly. I can teleport but cannot control the location I go to yet. I myself cannot shift but can have the smoke take a shape of something but not for very long depending on what I have it do like with that demon, I couldn't hold him down too long.
