"I linger in the night, a servant to no one but myself."
The Vampire gave a light sigh but made no comment to the woman's comment. She undid her cloak to where it flowed open to partially expose her clothing underneath but still hung low on her shoulders complete with the deep hood enshrouding her face. She followed but caught the scent of someone with a rather distinct signature.
A Reaper. Beings of creation... and deconstruction. Nokomis followed suit behind the seer, only acknowledging the reaper with a glance. Their kind made her cautious, even more so as she felt his soul.

"There is only evil in action,
Lady Liliana of Ernya, Sage Elementalist

Liliana's eyes locked onto Escher for a moment. She looked away with a sigh. "Please follow us, Escher. It would seem we have much to do."

"I linger in the night, a servant to no one but myself."
Nokomis took note of the name, handy to know a man's name. No matter who it was, she liked to keep track of names to avoid confusion. Following suit with the exit her cloak flowed behind her as she strode slowly off to the seer's right side and her senses flooded her with information of the aforementioned guards. She peered at one and bit back the urge of her race -- it occured to her, she still had to feed yet again and soon else she'd loose herself.
Teh. Human blood doesn't taste well anyways. I can wait for later, maybe I'll hunt an animal.

"The world is fragile, just like the minds of men and can be easily changed."
Escher caught the glance of the woman unknown to him. He turned to Liliana the moment she turned to him and made eye contact. She told him to follow her to where ever is was the two where going. With no more exchanging of words, Escher followed.
Evvie poured over the book, the fae light on her desk glowing brightly so she could see the words. She hadn't made much headway on the puzzle. But she wasn't about to give up...
"The world is fragile, just like the minds of men and can be easily changed."
Escher arrived back at the palace. He looked around and in a few moments found Evvie, face deep in a book. "Hello again Evvie. The lady sent me here to help you with a riddle?" He said looking over the desk, trying to peer into the book she was reading.
Evvie jolted in her chair, hair parting to reveal the small lavender horn in the middle of her forehead. Quickly brushing it back in place, she smiled to Escher. "Sir Escher, what an unexpected surprise! Let me get the right page..." Evvie flipped pages before stopping on one. She opened the notebook nearby, showing translations in a readable format. The translations said:
"Inner power given as gift Can craft a bridge across the rift. Mental temple do so hold Something more than glittering Gold Find the place where power blooms To take you to the ancient ruins. Burning Hot, Whistling Mirth Cascading chill, Impossible Earth. Beneath the feet, should all else fail Mighty stones of oldest tale. Speak of heart, pure and free And open the path will it to thee."
"The world is fragile, just like the minds of men and can be easily changed."
Escher looked up to Evvie as she seemed to jump abit. He saw something on Evvie forehead. He didn't say anything but his eyes spoke for him, turning yellow, the color of curiosity. Escher's then turned his eyes from Evvie's forehead to the book. He read intently. "Quite the riddle. Maybe we should look at it in parts, line by line actually. And the first line could mean our life energy or the energy that helps us preform great feat." He finished looking at his gauntlet. "I'm sure we can figure this out together." He said with a smile. He turned back towards the book and looked at words, to see if they had a deeper meaning.
"I think by stanza would be better. They seem tied to each other." Evvie pulled out a scrap piece of paper, jotting each out with plenty of space. "So you think the first one refers to the energies we all can use?"
"Inner power given as gift Can craft a bridge across the rift."
"The world is fragile, just like the minds of men and can be easily changed."
Renzo looked at the first line again, as if he wanted to find reassurance. "Yea, I do believe our own energies can cross this bridge, be it metaphorically or physical." He said gripping his gauntlet. "Let us continue."
"The world is fragile, just like the minds of men and can be easily changed."
Escher thought for a bit over the next stanza. So far it seems a more obvious approach has been working, might as well keep it that way. For now anyways. "Hmm, the mind can hold something more precious than gold. Maybe it could mean or memories or knowledge." He said quitely.
Evvie nodded, making a note of what he said. "Alright. So we have some inner power will give a bridge to memories or knowledge," she mused. "The next one is: Find the place where power blooms/To take you to the ancient ruins."
"The world is fragile, just like the minds of men and can be easily changed."
Escher listened as Evvie read the next stanza. "From experience, I know that the power we have comes from the very world around us. I noted this in the ancient ruins in Jiaum. I'd say either that or our heart, could the place where our power blooms. Or the things that drives us." He though of a few different things that could possibly fit this part in the riddle.
Hmming to his words, Evvie jotted down more notes. "The next part then... Burning Hot, Whistling Mirth/Cascading chill, Impossible Earth. It almost sounds like..."
