Somebody do me a favor and spoil Amazing Spider-Man #700 for me. I haven't picked up an issue of that comic since One More Day happened and I don't plan to ever pick one up unless it gets reversed.

Also, I'm too lazy to look it up. >.>

So Doc Ock switches bodies with Pete using technology or some s**t and leaves him to die in that body. Pete eventually does die in Doc Ock's body, leaving the good doctor with Spider-man's body, abilities, and memories. Oh, and Pete got those memoriess of the time his Aunt May and Octavius shagged, so that's nice.

Doc then swears to be a "Superior Spider-man" because with great power comes great responsibility.

And so then Marvel said "******** you" to all their Spidey fans and ran off into the night with all the stolen candy from neighborhood children.

Because ******** you that's why.

I mean, I don't even bother to read Spider-man most of the time, but even to me it's seems incredibly ******** up.

Oh wow. It's like Marvel's following DC's lead with Marvel NOW! Granted, at least most of the Marvel NOW! titles aren't half as bad as DC's New 52 reboot(seriously, like 90% of the whole reboot was nothing but terribly written bullshit), but this is just a whole new low for Marvel. I mean, I know Marvel hates Spider-fans, but Elvis ******** Christ, that's just low.

I actually quite like what they've done with the X-teams so far. Uncanny Avengers has been pretty good, imo, and Cable and the X-force looks like it'll be good. I don't have too many complaint,s but yeah, if I was a bigger Spidey fan I'd be PISSED (at least until a few issues from now when Peter comes back from the dead or something).

The new X-books have been fine, barring some continuity inconsistencies between titles(like some of the characterizations between All New X-Men and Uncanny Avengers). Avengers' opening so far has been a bit of a disappointment though; it's by no means bad, but the writing really can't keep up with its breathtaking(though admittedly stylized) art.

I've said it before, but Uncanny X-Force was always a massive failure to me from day one, so Cable and X-Force has been a breath of fresh air and so far not really been bad in any way I can think though I do feel it has more potential. So far the best out of the new series for me have been All New X-Men and Uncanny Avengers, and that makes me feel damn good because I honestly did not think it would be possible to recover from how truly piss poor god awful Avengers vs. X-Men was(not since Ultimatum has a crossover angered me as much as AvX did).

Also, FINALLY, they made Deadpool awesome and funny again, neither of which he's been for years now(Daniel Way completely ruined the character for me with his god awful run on the series). Brian Posehn, you are ******** awesome.

Still, to me the dominant X-book right now is without a doubt Wolverine and the X-Men. I don't think an X-Men book has been this good since Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men, and this is despite my absolute hatred for one of the main characters in the ******** you, Genesis, die you little asshat, die as painfully as humanly possible).

I will say this about the new X-books though: I did not think it was humanly possible for me to hate Emma Frost more than I already did, but boy was I wrong... and I couldn't be happier.

crap post, terribly sorry for the wait...

Also I am a huge Spidey fan and I don't even know anymore. I mean, I know Peter's supposed to be down on his luck most of the time or whatever but damn Marvel... bleh.

I do like Fraction's new Hawkeye comics though. So I guess there's that... not really though.

Matt Fraction's a damn good writer, and pretty much everything he touches turns to gold. Hawkeye is no exception.

But yeah, it seems that since OMD Marvel's just been absolutely hell bent on flipping Spider-Man fans off over and over again, both in the comics and out of them(don't even get me started on that god awful Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon).

I was really put off by the art in Hawkeye, but I keep seeing pages of it and people going pretty crazy on it, so I should probably read it.

...and I feel like an absolutely horrible person for making people wait so long. I give you permission to slap me next time we see each other.

I haven't really watched ultimate, but I've heard almost universally that it sucks so I've been intentionally staying away...

and I actually like the art style, definitely works for the type of comic it is.
