Haides's expression brightened when she giggled, then returned to its usual calm at her question. "... Rhea was my mother's name. My birth mother."

"Well, I am glad she would have approved of me too, Haides. I would never want to be looked down on by anyone close to you, living or deceased,"Jaromila confessed in a soft voice. She didn't know why, but she didn't want to disappoint him.

Haides sighed. "You know... even if they didn't like you, it wouldn't change anything." He smiled slightly and nuzzled Jaromila. "No matter what they think... I think you're perfect."

Jaromila looked surprised by Haides's words, but a soft smile came upon her lips. He really did care about her and he did not seem to care if anyone else liked her or not.
"Thank you, I think you are pretty amazing yourself, Haides. I do not know why, but you make me extremely happy,"Jaromila told him. She returned the nuzzle, seeming to be at peace.

Haides was thankful for his dark coat: it helped hide the blush he felt rising on his cheeks. Still, he didn't shy away this time. "Same," he mumbled, glancing away in slight embarrassment. Now he was glad Beta was sleeping; he wasn't sure if he could handle her comments right then.

Jaromila rested her head against his, feeling like they were really bonding. She really liked spending time with him and she hoped her family would not scare him away tomorrow.
"Let us hope that tomorrow goes well, since I do not want anyone to give us trouble,"Jaromila smiled.

Haides felt surprisingly relaxed, despite his shy embarrassment creeping up on him. Not even Beta had gotten this close to him. The filly had been right; they were different types of best friend. He didn't nod to her comment, not wanting to disturb her head's resting place. "Yeah..." He glanced at her. "I wouldn't want to cause any rifts between you and your family." His azure gaze moved to the lake. "An unbroken home... is a precious thing."

Jaromila felt quite calm, even more so then she normally would be in this situation. She felt like Haides had been near her forever, not like they had just met the other day.
"No, I would not want that either, I really love my family and would want to stay in touch with them. I do hope I do not do anything to upset your family,"Jaromila spoke.

"I don't think that's possible," Haides admitted. "My family's pretty laidback... well, besides Beta. But they're all friendly enough. The things that would upset them aren't things you would do." An unbidden smile formed on his face. "It'll be fine, Jaromila," he reassured her.

Jaromila smiled softly at Haides's comforting words, knowing he really wanted her to be comfortable meeting his family.
"I suppose I am just nervous because after I thought about it, I thought I remembered hearing the name of your mother. She is bonded with one of the king's nobles, is she not?"Jaromila asked.

"I'm assuming she was. It would explain why the Six would want to get rid of her and why she was not scared of the human when he came." Haides went quiet for a few moments. "I think... they only stayed away from her before that... because my dad was there."

Jaromila seemed a little surprised that his biological mom may have known the king too.
"I was referring to your current mom, Haides, not your biological one. Though, now that you mention it, it would make sense why your mom might have been targeted. It seems the six really have it out for a lot of people and it is sad,"Jaromila sighed.

Haides blinked, then glanced away, embarrassed. Having two people referred to as his mother was difficult. "... Yeah. Serenity's bonded to a human named Dea. I'm not sure if she's a noble or not."

Jaromila nuzzled him softly, trying to get him to calm down after his mistake.
"It is alright to make that mistake, maybe we should devise a system to tell the difference between your current mom and your biological one. They are both your mothers, just in a different sense,"Jaromila smiled.

Haides closed his eyes. "... Yeah. That would probably be smart..." He nuzzled her back, his silent reassurance that he was alright. He definitely had a unique situation... if Ve'ki really did become the permanent father figure in their family, would he have the same problem with having two Azrien he referred to as his dad? With the others, who were orphaned or abandoned very early in life, it wasn't as big of a problem; Serenity was, as far as they were concerned, their one and only mother--or at least the one that mattered. With him... it was a little different.
