The more cups of coffee Wilson drank, the more worried and angry Gramps became. His wheezing voice was louder now, bouncing off the walls of Wilson’s mind as he lounged around the booth of coffee. The ranting should have given the hunter a headache, but strangely he was okay with it. For the time being anyways. Amused, Wilson decided to head toward the front of the booth once more for yet another cup. Gramps groaned and prepared for the inevitable coffee high that Wilson was slowly working himself into. Relax, Gramps. I got this. [You don’t. You really don’t. You know, I think I could use some biscotti. You know where it is? [No.]

Acerium stared a moment.
"... huh. Yeah. Good point." She looked into the coffee cup, "

"No no, not just the booth! She had a pamphlet out! She wants to open up her own company, I think! I mean, I've never had scarebucks coffee, but this stuff..."
She took another drink.
"This stuff is good."

She smiled at her new!Friend!.
"so yeah. You're trying to get into the academy too, huh. What are you good at? I'm sort of mediocre, magic wise and I want to learn more. And i want to learn more about botany. And boils, of course. But yeah. My talents... Magic. A bit."
She seemed a bit embarrassed.
"That sort of thing?"

She smiled as she took another sip. The coffee was most splendid, though she remembers having tea more than coffee. "It is really good, and of she happens to start her business, I propose that it might be better than Scarebucks, whatever their coffee tastes like." She took another sip from her cup as she wiped her lip.

Alice thought for a moment. Talent? A talent? She thought hard before speaking. "Yes, I am trying to get into the academy. I'd like to learn a lot of things, maybe about things that I might like. I did start playing a tune on a piano somewhere, but I don't know how I was able to play it. I have never touched a piano before that. But maybe learning how to play it, will be something I'd enjoy. But other than that, I don't think I have a talent."

Another cup was pilfered from the stand. These boothes were nice... and relaxing... and he was really starting to wish that the Nap place was right next to this place.

Coffee and couches sounded like the best thing ever right about now.

Something green hit him square in the face, knocking him out of his reverie.

W-What.

"Awww..."
Acerium patted the vampire on the shoulder with a branchy hand,
"Don't sell yourself short! You'll find one, I bet! Piano, huh." She sat closer to her friend.
"Music is cool! I heard somewhere that plants like it if you sing. Stands to reason I'd like music, you know?" she laughed,
"Anyway, if we end up in the academy, maybe we can find a piano and you could play for me." She gestured widely.
"I could be your audience and you could practice! ooo, and we could play it to roses and they'll grow big and pretty with scary prickles 'caz thats how they grow here!"
"Seriously though." her face turned serious for a moment, "Everyone's got a FEAR ability, so said the primer I read a few months ago. Even vampires. So..."
oooo. she had trapped herself in an awkward corner. Maybe the coffee WAS getting to her head.
"I'm a bit curious. Any idea what yours is?" Probably not.

"Hi Mort!" The boil would receive a one armed hug, and a pleasant smile. "Yup! Getting my name out, making sure people know they'll be buying quality!"



Once Frost was spotted, Gene put her minis in charge again. It was cuddling time. Without even asking, she got behind him and started to rub his ears. "And how is our future president doing?"

Melvin was getting tired, but he chalked that up to the fact he was very small and walking through the crowds pulling his little wagon was exhausting. Of all the things he needed, it was coffee, which was why when he smelled such a alluring scent, he moved to it. He only hoped that owner had no trouble with someone as short as him asking for coffee.

As if answering his blessing, he saw it was indeed coffee, and reached up to pick up a cup from the counter. The name he checked up on the board was titled Holiday Havoc, which was better than some of the other names. Smelling it, it slowly drank it and was welcomed with a peculiar taste that reminded him of snowy mornings and Christmas. Surprisingly festive for a place that gave him the creeps.

"Roses?! Wow!"
Acerium had just been thinking about how awesome a friend she had found... and then alice got awesome-er!
"Maybe! Mine has to do with my sap! I bleed... well, maple syrup, as I am an Acer saccharum... A sugar maple!"
She thought for a moment.
"I think I am anyway. I have some sense of my origins and... Well thats the only species that makes sense with what little teeny tidbits I know."
She laughed a bit.
"And then I read the rest. Oh right!"
she pointed to some resin that had hardened over an injury she had received at one of the... rougher... booths.
"I can make it harden. Ever see amber? I have a book somewhere about it... No idea where it went. Bugs get stuck in it a lot. Its fossilized plant sap. No wait!"
She corrected herself, "Its fossilized resin. Not sap. So technically, my power should affect Resin, which Maples dont secrete... But its FEAR so that just means somebody got confused. Or scared of it. Oh well! Doesn't matter to me, I'm happy how I am."
She laughed again. Ah, drinking coffee with a friend.
She could get used to this.
"Anyway, roses are cool. I didn't see any plant-themed booths around, which is kind of a shame... Oh well, when we get in we can make one next fright night!"
