Kleos and Moriath Agility: +1 HP: 70/77 +5 Burn Dice
----
A thick tangle of Thread seen through her rider's eyes; the crimson dragon turned a barrel roll and twisted her neck to burn it away.
There was no time to dodge that clump; rather than attempting to Moriath jumped between, reappearing a moment later out of the path of the silver strands and blasting them with flame before taking up her place in formation again....
And the Thread was gone.
Moriath snorted smoke and looked around sharply; was there another wave yet to come? She hoped that was the last of it; she was more than ready to land.

S’kor and Scarath - Gale Stalkers WingSecond HP: 43/62 Agility: -4
S’kor and Scarath - Gale Stalkers WingSecond HP: 43/62 Agility: -4
He could feel the strain in shoulders, arms, back, and legs. S’kor knew they had to hold on. A motion caught from the corner of his eyes made him look back over his shoulder. One by one the blues vanished.
Plexith has sent the blues to rest and recalled the greens. He went to flame and was surprised to find no more Thread in front of him. Scarath was a bit disappointed.
(Disregard rolls.)

Optheli and Dynith - Gale Stalker Wingrider HP: 26/35 Agility: +2
Optheli was just -slightly- miffed with her dragon. The green had been sure a healer was brought over for her. While her scores were being tended and she was drinking some fruit juice, the call had come in for the greens to return. Dynith hadn’t bothered to tell her until after the healer was finished.
Please apologize to the Wingleader and his Second on returning late.
Dynith glanced around, and seeing no Thread glided into position. Meekly she said to Plexith and Scarath, We apologize for being late. Mine was being seen to.

Wykla and Kameth - Storm Riders Wingrider HP: 36/45 Agility: +1
The rest had done both rider and dragon good. They were eager when the call came in for the changing of blues and greens. Wykla had waved goodbye to those staying at Trine and quickly climbed onto her blue. C’mon Kameth. Let’s get back.
With an eager spring he leaped for the air. A simple check with his rider, then the light blue was back with his wing. Wyklamine and Kameth reporting ready.

F’law and Zurith - Dawn Fliers Wingrider HP: 38/45 Agility: +1
Finally. The Thread ran out. F’law had never been so relieved in his life. They had come off fairly well with a few minor injuries. He gave the dark blue neck between his legs a hearty slap. Well done. Let’s go home.
Zurith rumbled as he saw the greens return with a few blues. Mine there might be more.
Home. He commanded firmly. Once you land you’ll realize how tired your wings are. The pair wished the others luck, and vanished between

A shimmering wave appeared in the distance and for a brief moment the weary, wounded dragons and their riders were faced with the knowledge that yes..this fall was going to continue..but just as the riders reached for firestone and the first wings started to glide forward a startling boom from above brought them all to their senses. So absorbed in the fall were they that no one had noticed the grey clouds rolling in all around them. It certainly explained the gusts of wind that had sprung up from time to time throughout the fall. The skies opened up and the menacing thread was destroyed by nature itself..leaving dragon and rider free to go home. Wounded..wet and tired..but alive. Threadfall over!

Cetalese and Green Halith
Both rider and dragon felt relief as the Threadfall was washed away by the storm above them. Although it wasn't safe to stay out in a storm, high as they were, they wouldn't leave until D'lin commanded it, unless it looked like they were going to be struck by lightning. Cetalese briefly turned her face up into the rain, thanking Faranth for the reprieve.
Halith hovered in place with their wing and Cetalese finally looked toward D'lin for any signals. Even though they'd had a brief rest, it hadn't been nearly enough for Halith. The other Greens likely felt the same. They would need a great deal of rest after this fight.

N'mol and Bronze Tyeth - Dawn Fliers Wing
As the rain poured down and wiped out the final wave of Thread, N'mol turned in his saddle to view his ranks.
It seems the Thread has all dissolved under the rain, N'mol. We neither sense nor see any.
N'mol assumed 'we' meant the Wingleaders and he nodded. Instruct all of our riders to return to Trine Weyr. Those injured should go be seen to immediately. Those not may return to their weyrs to get dry and clean off their leathers.
Tyeth bugled. All Dawn Fliers may now return to the Weyr. The injured should seek medical attention with the healers. Those who have escaped with no injuries may return to their weyrs so that riders may clean their tack and get changed. Tyeth and his rider watched their wing vanish in a few brief seconds, and then N'mol righted himself in his saddle.
Let Moriath know we're returning.
... It is done. Tyeth confirmed after a moment and then the Bronze took them to Trine without further delay.

'Dynith and her's have returned..late due to her's being seen by the healers' Plexith relayed to D'lin even as they came out of thread and into clear skies. Breathing in a quick sigh of relief D'lin watched the sky with narrowed eyes even as he responded to Plexith's comment. 'Tell them its fine Plexith' He told the dragon - being seen to by the healers was a suitable excuse for being late in his books.
Mine says not to worry' Plexith relayed to the meek and skittish Dynith, keeping his voice gentle so as not to startle her. 'He is glad that yours is okay' The bronze added, D'lin hadn't said that part but Plexith knew it to be true anyways.
'Thread' D'lin warned as he caught sight of the shimmering strands and Plexith grimly opened his maw for more firestone when..wonder of wonders the skies gave them something to be happy about for once. The rain would take care of the thread as certainly as the dragons could. Taking stock of his wing and their injuries D'lin gave the signal to go home. Plexith happily relaying the message.

As the rain started to patter down on her hide Moriath relaxed a notch, but not yet completely; she had to be sure that all the wings made it back to Trine safely, not just her own. That Tyeth gave out his orders before consulting her rankled a little, but he was only a stupid male and it was what she would have instructed in any case. It was not worth troubling over now that the Thread was gone; he had performed well enough during it - even she had to admit that - and that was what mattered most. she sent to the bronze, her tones civil, professional, and more than a little weary. It had been a long fall. A few moments later she heard from Plexith, and acknowledged him as she had the other bronze.
Before long the sky was empty of dragons save for her, and the crimson allowed herself a heavy sigh.
Kleos smiled wearily and lent forward to embrace her dragon's neck as best she could.
It never occurred to the crimson that this was an arrogant thing to say; egos clad in mere iron had nothing on her.
she acknowledged, watching the Thread die even as it fell,
A moment later the scarred red dragon disappeared, and there was nothing left but the rain.
