Leon Mori
Leon nodded. But couldn't help but laugh when Rednal commented about his own mental state. "Yeah, I've met those two girls from the Crows before, they're a decent sort. Cultists we've delt with before, but Vampires? He looked at the ground and scratched the back of his head, before looking back up with a slightly tired smile. "We just keep coming across more and more of the supernatural, don't we? Hell, there are times when I wonder if I'm still human." His gaze lowered for a moment before picking itself back up.

Rednal Ak'Thias"I wouldn't worry about that. From a cosmological and a scientific perspective, we're both humans, we've just... got some extra features." Like summoning deities and throwing nuclear fireballs. Physics? Psh! Clearly, the rules of the universe were not all they were cracked up to be, which was why he had more important things to focus on. Not that understanding the way the universe actually worked was a bad thing, he just suspected there were a few upper deities of some kind who had their hands on the controls and his time would be better spent on other things, like trying to make the world not get blown up every Tuesday. Stupid Tuesdays.

Leon Mori
Leon smiled faintly at Rednal's comment. He looked to his left hand, which gave off a brief, faint glow, before making a fist and holding it to his chest, turning his head to look at his friend. "Some of us more than others. Hell, heh, you're a prime example, yourself." He turned his head back and continued to walk, before starting to talk again. "Still, the reason I wonder is because... Every time I see my arms and legs transform into something otherworldly, every time I feel that surge of power run through my body. Every time-..." His brow furrowed as he paused for a moment. This was part of the reason he came to see Rednal this morning. "Every time I lose my temper in a battle, I feel like I'm slipping further down the slope, losing what ever humanity I have left." He let out a sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. "It feels good... And that worries me." Razgriz was a voice of reasoning, sure. But Leon's volatile temper... "I do what I can to keep myself under control, but... It's hard sometimes, Y'know?"

Rednal Ak'ThiasThat... was something he could relate to. The constant digging in his mind, the presence he couldn't avoid, slowly driving him insane... "Well, if you ever go too far, I'll just hit you until you snap out of it." Rednal answered. Which was all that needed to be said between friends, really. It helped to have an anchor that grounded you in reality; in Rednal's case, that was the girls he liked. For others? Probably something different. But hey, they were the Investigation Team. They didn't have to do anything alone when they could face problems as a group and overcome them that way. In fact, that was sometimes the only way to solve a problem.

Leon Mori
"Hahahahaha!" Leon threw his head back as he laughed, perhaps more so than one would expect. "I appreciate that, man. Still, I'll hold you to that. If it has to be someone knockin' me across the jaw a few times, I'd rather it be you. He held a big smile on his face, before he turned to look at Rednal again, pointing at his own cheek. "Don't think I've forgotten, you have one hell of a hook." He laughed again, "If memory also serves, you managed to floor me, too."

Rednal Ak'ThiasRednal shrugged. Slightly. He wasn't entirely sure how to respond to that one without sounding rather self-centered, so a little bit of deflection was probably going to be a better choice. "You're my friend. I'd do the same for anyone on the team if I had to." It was a guy thing, really. The girls would probably jump to the option of trying to talk stuff out, while many guys would conclude that pummeling someone back to their senses was faster, more likely to work, and not so annoyingly gushy. Though he definitely didn't want to try and take Kanji that way...

Asuka Bokuro
"I told you to hold still." Asuka's voice sounded from the living room, an ever so slight scolding tone in her voice. "I'm sorry, My lady. But these cups are a little small for one of my size." Eligor. In the living room. Drinking a cup of green tea while Asuka wiped down his armor, his large hands a little clumsy with the teacup. "Just hold still while I finish this Pauldron, Okay?" Asuka said, hanging off Eligor's free arm. Demons were entitled to a little TLC every now and again, it showed them their summoner cared, and helped deepen the bond between demon and summoner. Asuka though, cared more than most, even once shedding a tear because one of her demon comrades got hurt because of her. Eligor was the demon in question, and despite everything that happened since then, Asuka still felt kind of bad about it. "There." She dropped of Eligor's arm and back onto the couch. "I truly appreciate your help, my lady. I can't thank you enough." The large knight held a closed fist to his chest and bowed his head in gratitude. "It's fine Eligor. What kind of summoner would I be if I didn't take care of my companions?" She smiled, then looked to the demon tubes on her belt. "Besides, I intend to give everyone a bit of TLC today." It would keep her occupied for most of it, sure, but she enjoyed this kind of thing. Caring for others was in her nature.

Rednal Ak'ThiasA cold shiver ran down Rednal's spine, the sort of feeling associated with "You don't want to think about this" situations. Wasn't anything Leon had said, but... the sudden sense of impending doom... urgh. Hopefully the house would still be standing by the time he got back.

Keira Gayuno
The house was finally quieting around; Keira had heard a fair bit of noise this morning, but now she was holed up in her room, staring into a mirror that reflected a face she didn't really know. A little searching had revealed few items of importance (though she was wondering about that knife stashed beside the mattress where others wouldn't see it), save only a journal that she'd apparently been keeping. The neat, tidy handwriting was exactly the way she remembered it; her family had been extremely thorough when teaching her basic skills like writing and it would seem she'd never forgotten. The problem was the content of the journal... growing frustration, plans for protection, strange things seen happening... and throughout it all, an overwhelming amount of love for one person in particular. Keira couldn't even imagine what sort of mood was needed to write things down, but her own journal was telling her the story of a girl. One who'd broken free of constraints and was living life to the fullest, who had passionate desires she chased with all of her heart, and who was... willing to do anything necessary in order to protect that happiness. Whatever had gone on over the years had made her a very, very bad girl, the kind that her father would have been horrified to know about. It was wrong, but... when she read these words, written in her own handwriting, why was it so hard to disagree with them?
She'd made friends with people she couldn't imagine knowing (one particularly delighted entry mentioned a time when she'd given what was apparently a fake bosom to a dear, male friend... What!?), she'd delighted in consuming sweets and then working her body to keep a nice shape, and she'd encountered many different people over the years. It was all wrong, but how could anybody who was this happy and dedicated be so incorrect about it...? She had to know.
Keira inhaled deeply as she slowly tightened her fists. I'm sorry, Daddy... my memories aren't very good, so I may have forgotten some of the things you taught me. He couldn't be wrong, after all. So I'm going to go check on some things. She slid her legs off of the bed and took a deep breath. All right, she needed to have clothes, shoes (any that fit her feet had to be hers), and a cell phone for emergency contacts... even she knew that much, though she'd have to at least search for the names and numbers, hoping to find some she recognized. The girl glanced through the things on her phone (they were so advanced these days), bypassing over some strange programs that had been installed before she nodded firmly. Right. Now she just had to... had to... hope she knew where she was going...
Gulp.
No, no, she couldn't back out now. She had to find him and ask him for the truth. Ask him how he really felt.

Aselia BluespiritBreakfast was the most important meal of the day until lunch came around, and Aselia was treating it with the seriousness it deserved. Clad in an apron, the girl hummed as she hovered around the stove area and cooked her breakfast, using a combination of the techniques she'd picked up in the wild and some of the more modern ideas she'd been taught. They were supposed to lie low today because of everything that was going on, so she planned to make the most out of her time off and enjoy things the right way. "Nn!" she noted happily as the scents wafted through the kitchen.

Asuka Bokuro
"Your hair is beautiful, but you have so much of it, I'm not surprised it's gotten so tangled." Asuka spoke, brush in hand. "Alas, it's something I have to live with, my lady. Brushing this much hair on my own isn't an easy task." An elegant voice spoke out, Asuka's fairy queen companion, Titania sitting on a chair, Asuka standing behind, brushing her hair. "Well, I guess it's good you have me here to help you, right?" Asuka said, staring to brush annother part of Titania's hair, doing her best to get the knots out. "I know, and I appreciate it whole-heartedly, my lady. I'm very thankful you take such good care of all of us." The demon spoke in an honest tone, causing Asuka to blush just a little bit. She smiled, "Hey now, hehehe... You're gonna embarrass me. Now hold still unless you want this one to pull." "Yes my lady." The demon sniffed the air wafting out of the kitchen. "Lady Aselia, that smells lovely. Would you like some help?- Ow!" A small, yet sharp yelp escaped Titania's lips, as Asuka's brow furrowed and she placed one hand on her hips. "What did I just tell you about holding still?" Asuka scolded. Really now, her companions seemed awfully fidgity today. "Besides, I don't want you going anywhere until I'm finished here. I'm not one to leave a job half done." "S-sorry, my lady." She said, a hint of remorse in her voice. Asuka smiled, "Just a little longer, hold still and it'll be done in to time." She placed a hand on her companion's shoulder before continuing. "Aselia? You want me to brush your hair while I'm at it?" Asuka called across the room.

Korina Yamaka
In the room she'd claimed as her own, a young woman quietly sat before a shrine that was covered in symbols. Symbols which, in fact, would have been regarded by some groups as blasphemous enough to warrant significant intrusion by the forces of Law and Chaos alike had they not been sealed from view. Chaotic was much too... refined to describe what Korina's deities were like. Indeed, Chaos was often all about advancement, opportunity, and the selection of Darwin. Rough though it might be, that could easily be described as having a purpose of sorts. Korina's patrons needed no purpose to do anything; in fact, what little she could comprehend of her mighty master suggested that he did things solely because he could. She was quite all right with that, and as long as she continued to offer those who were willing to give themselves to madness, Hastur didn't really seem to care about the details of how she did things. "Well, I suppose that will do for now." the pale girl rose to her feet, then tossed a blanket over her little shrine. Hastur didn't care, and it was probably for the best if the other girls didn't see those particular symbols. Korina stretched lightly, then hopped onto the bed and reached for her notepad. She had a few decisions to make about how to proceed... after all, she wanted to show the Priest of the Dream Witch at least some of what she had to offer. Humming happily, Korina began her plotting.

Flandre Scarlet
One long, slender finger slowly traced along the runic marking that had been carved into the floor as a way of limiting and containing what the room held. Trying to bash through something like this was pointless, and the girl stared for a few minutes before dipping the same finger into a goblet. A few ruby-red drops slowly fell onto her tongue, even that small amount enough to excite her and make her want more. The feeling as her fangs pierced skin, meat parting to allow her access to the liquid of life... ecstasy impossible to describe. Quietly, the girl crouched one one of her favorite perches and slowly began to suck on her finger. It would be much nicer if people could come talk to her more often, but for now she would simply have to watch and wait.

Rednal Ak'Thias and Korina YamakaIt was... interesting... how awkward a simple walk home could be when you were worried about the girl hanging on your arm suddenly trying to drag you into an alley and eat you. In... several senses... if Korina's normal behavior was anything to judge by. Despite that, she'd been remarkably well-behaved throughout the entire trip, talking animatedly and freely. It had taken him most of the trip (and a few weird looks) to realize that she hadn't spoken in Japanese the entire time. It had all been in the impossible language that deities of Yidhra's type seemed to enjoy using, and which he could understand as a side-effect of having her in his head. Maybe the cultist was just happy to have someone to talk to, but... he couldn't quite shake the feeling that she needed to be watched carefully. She was cute, but every instinct he had was shouting that she was all the more dangerous because of it, even if she seemed to enjoy his company. And Yidhra's. Mostly Yidhra's, if that ecstatic expression was anything to judge by, but one or two of those glances... brr.

Rednal Ak'Thias and Korina Yamaka and Aselia BluespiritIt was a few minutes after they'd finally gotten inside, once Rednal had dumped some things in his room and headed back into the hall, that he found one of the doors cracked open... with Aselia and Korina inside of it, the former pressed down on the bed as the latter kissed her more than a bit deeply. Rednal coughed slightly and Korina pulled up a bit, tossing her pale hair back with one smooth motion before smiling seductively. "If you'd like a turn, hafh'drn, I'd be happy to give you one." the cultist murmured happily, one hand trailing up Aselia's torso and lightly squeezing. She dove right back down a moment later. Rednal quietly shut the door. Aselia came out only a few minutes later, looking slightly dazed but relatively cheerful on the whole. "Nn!" And with that, she reached out and gave Rednal a hug.
