Miranda watched him just sitting there. He looked as handsome as ever lounging there. She was a little irritated with herself for thinking it.
Looked around the cave again, she fully agreed. She grinned to herself. "Not if I get it first. Unless you like to share?" she teased, leaning against the cave wall.
She forgot about splashing him. Not that it would be very effective with him sitting atop that rock. Instead she stared at the endlessly changing light patterns on the walls and leaned back again the cave wall. It was hard and cold against her back.
His comment about falling in love surprised her. It was silly to think that he wasn't romantic like that. She faulted herself for believing he was the type of man that didn't plan to settle down. He was full of surprises it seemed. Why was she judging him so harshly anyway? She wasn't usually one to do that.
Miranda chalked it up to still being made about being here.
"I'd envy the woman you'd bring here everyday." she said suddenly. "It beautiful. I almost don't want to leave." she remarked with a sigh.

Mirnada nodded and sighed. "Exactly!" she said, suddenly becoming vehement on the subject. "I don't want to be with just anyone. Especially not for convienence and... breeding." she said, blushing and looking at her feet. "I'm not a piece of property. I want something real. I want someone who loves me."
She shook her head and looked back up, changing the topic back to safer ground. "I'd gladly share this place. Maybe by that time I'll finally find what it is I want to do with my life."

Miranda nodded. "I can probably go back the the college I left. I don't know if I can pick up where I left off, but it's a start." she smiled. "Anyway. I don't have to worry about that until we leave."
She waded into the water polling into the cave. It went both ways, though it spread outward much farther. The one in here was small and very shallow. Enough for her to relax in as she sat down in it. The sides were smooth so it wasn't uncomfortable.
"King of the rock?" she asked with a chuckle, seeing he was still perched up on that rock.

Miranda blushed and rolled her eyes. She could here the underlining tease in his voice. "You're terrible. I think I'm perfectly fine here in my pool." she told him with a sweet smile.

"Whatever." she said, waving her hand dismissively. She splashed him as soon as he was back in the water. "Ha! Finally got you." she said with a smirk.

Miranda coughed trying to ward of the splash attack. She rubbed it out if her eyes and say his back as he made a dive for it.
"Not so fast." she said, giving chase. She dived after him under the waterfall and back into the sunlight. She couldn't really splash him until came up for air. When he did, she sent another barrage at him.

This went on for some time. Finally, Miranda exausted herself and lay flat on her back beside the pool, panting.
"Okay. I give. You out swim me." she snapped, exasperated. "You win."
