“You should try it more often” he said taking a bite of his own sandwich. “and this whole, calling me mom thing… its never going to stop is it” he asked thinking about how odd it was to be called mom by a man he wanted to sleep with.
"I really should," Tony swallowed and took another monster-sized bite. "I mean, I don't want to slow down /entirely/. People would wonder what was wrong with me," he grinned over at his compatriot. "I don't know whether to call you a good influence or a bad one, Bruce."

(oh neat, we've messaged each other back and forth 150 times now. smile )
“Lets go with good, I like to think Im doing you good. Making you eat, and sleep, and other important things like that.” He said with a grin. “But dont think this gets you out of spending time in the lab with me, just because i want you to slow down does not mean we are not going to spend unhealthy amounts of time dedicated to science” he said taking a small bite out of his sandwich and chewing it meticulously before swallowing.
Tony very nearly squealed in delight-- it was hard to resist doing so. "God, I love you, Bruce," he chose to say instead, in awe at how such a perfect specimen had just come into his life.

Bruce felt his heart flutter, well flutter wasnt really the right word. Maybe stop. Ither way he enjoyed the feeling imensley. “I Love You too,” He said smile taking up half of his face, God Tony was perfect he thought. How the hell did i get this lucky?
Tony grinned at that and proceeded to roll back onto his back and munch. "Honestly, I'm really looking forward to tweaking that power converter. Maybe you can help me fine tune it. I swear there was a bit of an energy leak near the resistors, but I wasn't able to isolate the problem," he yammered away blithely.

“Sure, we all know im so much better at the engeneering aspect of things than you are” Bruce said sarcasticly, Laughing at Tony’s assumption he could do anything that Tony couldnt except supply a fresh point of view. ” But ill help if i can, Promise. Ill be needing something else to do now that Ive figured out how to keep the other guy content enough to not smash any buildings.” Bruce said, It will just involve you staying with me every second of every day he thought to himself, not wanting to come off too strong.
Tony sat bolt upright. "You're scrapping your project??" he asked, only realizing after he'd already said it that he had sounded far too enthusiastic and excited. 'Oh, nice one, Tony,' he thought to himself.

“I dont see the need for it at this moment, If erm- Unfortunate events occur i may find myself in need of the research again but at this time… It doesn’t seem likely that im going to Hulk out and kill anyone. Not with you there to stop him anyway.” he said awkwardly finishing his sandwich and looking anywhere but tony. The innovator wasn’t stupid, far from it but sometimes he was a bit oblivious and Bruce wondered if he understood the magnitude of what he was saying. If he didnt agree with Bruce’s methods, well he didnt want to have to look him in the eye for that.
He could have swept Dr. Banner into his arms and kissed him for joy. Instead he attempted to remain professional. "Oh well, of course, yes, I'd expect that." He stuffed more sandwich in his mouth.

Bruce just stared at his toes, tony seemed so formal what did that even mean. He just frowned pulling his legs to his chest. He knew it wasn’t a permanent solution, tony would get sick of him eventually and he would be back to trying to control the other guy with pills and heart monitors but still, he didnt think it had been that horrible of an idea…
Ugh, now he'd done it, he'd gone and offended his lab partner-- he could tell from the way the physicist had curled up. "Sorry," he manned up and apologized, "I know that work was all really important to you, I shouldn't act so happy to hear you're taking a break from it." He chuckled nervously. "Guess I can't help myself."

Bruce’s head shot up seeking out tony’s face to assess if he was speaking the truth or not, he seemed genuine “y-your happy,” he said confused. ” you didnt sound happy, you sounded uninterested or annoyed and I didnt mean to annoy you, or insinuate that you always had to be there. I know this wont last forever i dont expect you to put up with me all too long, i just meant i didnt have to work on it quite yet because you fix the problem right now. I didn’t want to annoy you, you dont have to pretend to be happy about it. Im sorry..” Bruce babbled almost incoherently Finally taking a breath intent to start his apologies as soon as he ingested some oxygen.
The stream coming from Bruce's mouth had Tony floundering a moment, but he was pretty sure they'd both managed to misunderstand one another. 'Some great communication skills we have,' Tony thought to himself sarcastically. In a desperate bid to get Banner to stop, the innovator leaned forward and pressed their mouths together once more.

Bruce gasped as pressure hit his lips but he settled against it bringing his hands to tony’s face and pulling him closer. maybe he isnt mad at me after all, He thought. Or he is mad and he just wants me to shut up so he can talk. He probably wants me to shut up, not that i mind this way of telling me to do it.
Tony considered pulling back away, but considering they were already in liplock, he decided to try and get his point across this way instead. Let his lips do the talking, or... er, whatever. The innovator tipped Bruce's head back and when it caused his lips to part somewhat, Tony slid his tongue inside. He kissed the man passionately, letting his happiness to hear Bruce wasn't hell-bent on destroying a part of himself overflow and fuel the kiss.

Bruce felt tonys tongue slip into his mouth and was embarrassed to know he didn’t quite know what to do. He himself wasn’t quite the player tony was known to be, He had been a dorky kid growing up he wore his helmet on his bike not only into his teens but late into his twenties as well. He had only had one real relationship and the girl had kissed like she was trying to completely consume his face and he had wanted it over as soon as possible. He hadn’t taken the time to learn how to properly kiss anyone. He tried to do what was natural to him, sliding his tongue over the one inside his mouth, letting one of his hands slip down tony’s jaw to the back of his neck. The other still cradling his face, and prayed he was doing something right.
The engineer took Banner's actions as encouragement, and he frenched him awhile longer before finally pulling back and looking him in the eyes. "I'm really glad to hear you're dropping it. I hope you never have to pick it back up," he explained, letting one of his own hands linger on Bruce's shoulder. "I promise to be there for you. For both of you. Alright?" He smiled hopefully.

Bruce didnt know what to say, he was more excited than he had ever been. He grabbed tony by the sides pulling him towards him, which set him off balance and they both fell backwards onto the blanket but Bruce didnt care. he held tony to his chest noses bumping, “I love you, So much.” he said grinning like a child at a candy store.
When he landed on top of the other man, he laughed jovially. "I swear the words you were looking for were 'thank you', but I'll take it." The engineer moved his head from side to side just enough to turn their touching noses into eskimo kisses. He kept Bruce pinned beneath him. "I think people are watching..." his lips turned up in the corners deviously.

Bruce pecked tony’s lips quickly, “thank you” Kissing him again “thank you” punctuating each word with a kiss “thank you, Thank you, thank you.” he grinned not particularly caring who was watching and hoping that Tony didnt mind either. ” Does it bother you?” he asked hoping the answer would be no.
The stream of 'thank you's was just too cute. "Does it look like it bothers me?" he asked rhetorically. "I mean, it'll probably be all over the newspapers tomorrow morning, but hey." He gave a shrug of his shoulder and gave the younger scientist another kiss.

” Ill take that as a no” he laughed kissing tony’s nose. “I love you and everything, but you are totally crushing me so do you think we could… shift a bit”
Tony hummed at the request as if considering it a long moment-- which he really wasn't but he was pretending to-- and rolled them both, swapping their positions. "This better?" he inquired, looking up at the man with a smile. Unlike the physicist, he didn't mind a little 'crushing' sensation. It actually kind of got him going... but that was besides the point.

Bruce felt his face start to burn bright red, “Um yes, My internal organs are not feeling as though they’re about to explode, not that you’re heavy, you’re just Muscly.” He said laughing. Bruce felt the urge to just lie down and stay there forever sun beating down on them, World completely in harmony just for a minute.
"Aren't you the master of compliments?" Tony chortled, moving his arms to wrap them around Bruce's middle. It felt really good to just ignore the world around him for the moment; he wished he could do it more often. But there was a lot resting on his shoulders-- his company, his research, as well as his superhero personality. Still, he tried to put all that aside and focus on the here and now while he could.

“I like to think so” he joked reveling in the feel of tony’s arms around his waist. “did i ever mention how gorgeous you are?” he asked running his thumb over Tony’s cheek. Staring down into his eyes with a soft smile on his face. “Because I really should tell you more often.”
"Don't feed my ego, it's a bigger monster than you are when you get mad; it will swell up and crush us both," Tony warned, but he really liked the feel of the blunt thumb running over his shaved-smooth cheek.

“I am still going to tell you how beautiful i think you are, fear of monsters or not.” he grinned placing a cute and gentle kiss on tony’s forehead. “because your ego isnt really as huge as you think it is. deep down i dont really think you see how amazing you are.”
"Now you're just flattering me," Tony said with a chuckle, "What am I supposed to say? That's me, the amazing Tony Stark! Actually, that does have a nice ring to it..." he pondered.
