By some miracle, Takuya was left with a perfect knot on his desk. He sat there, staring at it incredulously before looking upwards to the ceiling as if to thank some invisible force. One. More. Knot. One more and he would be done, free to go and do whatever he wanted to do. Reinvigorated by the sudden success he grabbed another rope and flipped the page, scanning it quickly before putting his fingers to work. So close, he was almost done. Glancing out of the window he could almost taste freedom, sweet sweet freedom.
He worked diligently, yet cautiously, careful as he twisted the rope back and forth, looping it between his fingers and pulling the end through. He had to succeed. If he didn’t he supposed there was always enough rope to make a noose with. Of course he wouldn’t resort to something like that. Takuya was a stubborn boy, and where many would give up Takuya would persist. Some would say it was because he was a tad touched in the head, but Takuya just did not like to give in. Even when he was younger and more frail than he was now, Takuya never gave in, not once.

Quote: DC:50-[5(5)-50]/10=47 44-SuccessJynn took a giant breath, glad to finally be out of that class room. It was way too hot, compared to the hall. In fact the hall was nice and cool and. . . .freezing. Jynn hugged his arms tightly to his chest, his bare legs shivering. Something didn't feel right. Something echoed in the silent hall, a twisted mock of a child's laughter. Jynn looked around, scanning the hall with his eyes wide. There was no-one in the hall, not that he could see. Wasn't it crowded earlier? People could have gone home, but there still had to have been at least someone here. The laughing continued to bounce along the walls, sending chill bumps up Jynn's skin. The hair on the back of neck rose, his instincts yelling as loud as possible that someone was behind him. The boy let out a yell and whirled around, aimlessly swinging his fist. Jynn was still for a moment before peeking one eye open. If there had been something there, it was gone now. His mind felt cloudy and his heart was racing. His breath was a little quicker than usual, though he didn't notice it too much. He was more concerned with who, or what, was stalking the halls.

Mai thought about the knot she had just made, the way she had gone about making it was a little over board, and as she thought about it more, she wanted to try and do it in a simpler manner, the book did explain how to do the note, but to be honest Mai kinda though it would be best to do it herself, an try and find her own way and while she had manage to get the knot done, she hadn’t really done it well. With that in mind she took another look at the book, and tried the method it explained for the knot, it was so much simpler then the mess of a knot she had produced in her first try, with the new method in her mind, Mai went about creating another knot. The method for the knot was to take the length or robe, and loop it making a big Q shape, then twist the loop, making it into two, you then pull one of the end of the robe though the other side of the loop, then you tighten it. As Mai followed the method she signed to herself, as it was so much simpler then the way she had tried to do the knot. ”Well that was a lot easier, and now I am two down, only 8 more to go, I am going to be here all night” . Mai said sadly to herself. Roll Second knot PC Formula: 50 + 25 (Step 1) + [(5 + 15) - 10]/10 = 76% Pass 2/10 Completed 2 Attempts 242 Words in post 1126 Words in total

~*Radagon Mimuria*~Radagon was now forced to stay after failing to complete the task at hand within the anointed time. He had no clue that time had passed so fast, even though it felt like only minutes had gone by since the task had started. The rope he had attempted to tie had some how wrapped around his fingers, and he was unable to even tie the damn thing. 'Stupid rope...' Radagon thought to himself. Funny how his goal was to become a great researcher on jutsu and chakra, and he was being held back by one lousy piece of rope. He needed to calm his mind a bit, so he set the rope back on the desk and laid back in his char, rubbing the temples on his head with his first two fingers on both hands. The funny thing was that this was just seemed like a very easy task to complete, till the rope seemed to have gained a mind of its own and refused to ever become a knoted. Was there some sort of discrimination amongst knotted rope and straight rope? As much as Radagon would like to just ponder this with his imagination, he'd rather just complete the task so he can continue with the class. Picking up the rope, Radagon went to try again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

~*Radagon Mimuria*~Once again, this blasted rope seemed to have eluded Radagon in some way. The rope would not tie no matter how hard he tried, and in the end he just dropped the rope back on the desk and laid back in his chair once more. He knew he only had a few more tires left before he would fail this assignment. But the one thing that was standing in his way was this simple piece of rope. The rope wasn't dry or anything, that he was sure of. But for some reason, this rope would not tie again. Radagon was really starting to get annoyed by this rope, as it seemed to just mock him by laying inanimately on his desk. He need to complete this task, but if this rope was going to be stubborn, he was going to have to put all his effort into it. He could not afford to fail one more time, otherwise he fails the whole assignment. Grabbing the rope once again, Radagon inspected it for any flaws that may be hindering his progress into completing this task given to him by the teacher. There was no gaps or wrong twists in the rope that would inhibit the rope sturdiness, so that also meant the weight wasn't off, though how that would affect rope was beyond him. At this point, he was making guesses to try to explain his failure, but it all seemed like the rope hated him. So, Radagon then tried one more time to tie the bloody rope into a knot. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

The sensei allowed tired fingers to stretch his weary face as he took a forlorn look at the collection of knots before him as two of the students left the classroom without proper dismissal. With a sigh he tossed the ropes into the drawer, pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled some quick comments into them before glancing back up to the remaining student. "You're still here? Go finish your remaining five already."

~*Radagon Mimuria*~Once again, this blasted rope seemed to have tricked him. While he was in the middle of tying the knot, the rope seemed to have loosened on one end, and the knot that he had going collapsed right in Radagons hands. A blinding rage almost took over him, demanding to toss this piece of rope right out a window, as well as several chairs. But, just dropping the rope and placing his head onto the desk made him calm down quick. He couldn't let rage cloud his mind when he was still in class. Now, from what he heard from the teacher, he was going to have to do ten knots, and had to keep going till he had done each and everyone of them. Radagon knew that he had suffered some really horrible luck there, but he was going to have to keep going till he had beaten every single knot. Radagon just stared at the rope while his chin rested on the desk he had his head on. Such a small little rope was blocking his path. In real life, tossing this rope to the side to keep moving forward would be the right thing to do, but he wasn't one to just disobey someone without a real reason. So, he once again grabbed the rope and tried his first knot. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

~*Radagon Mimuria*~Radagon was once again about to just get fed up with this rope. This time when he tried to tie a knot, the rope would just pull itself out of it when he went to finish it. Seemed the rope wasn't tied right, so when he was about to pull and finish it, it became straight again and fell back down on the desk again. Radagon let out a sigh, and laid back in the seat. Even though he really wanted to quit, he remembered all those times his father, who was a great researcher into all things chakra related, had gotten one of his theories wrong and had just wanted to quit the project he was on. But, after a bit he just stopped screaming angry things in his workshop and got back to finalizing a new theory to try out. Not really the same in subjects, Radagon was going through this kind of thing like his father. Now he had to learn patience and just keep going till he had gotten right. This rope was his project, and his theory was trying out new ways to just tie the damn thing into a knot. But, the rope was stubborn, and unwilling to just give him. So he'll just beat the thing into nothing until it submits to becoming a knotted rope. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

~*Radagon Mimuria*~To his own surprise, Radagon was finally able to make his first of ten knots. Happy that he had finally completed one, he took his time taking the thing apart, so that it would be a straight line of rope once more. Not giving up was the right choice, at least at this point. He still had to do nine more knots so that he would be just done already. It was becoming a bit tedious, but at this point Radagon didn't really mind. He was glad for such a challenge, even if it was straining against his nerves. It felt good to succeed, even if it was for the moment. But, no point thinking in circles. He had a job to complete, and he wasn't stopping till it was over. It reminded him of when he father was real close on one of his projects. It was an attempt to place a seal on a ball that was specifically made to be filled with someones chakra, and have it react to others chakra, sort of like a detonator that made a bomb go off when touched by anyone who wasn't the creator. It was supposed to be a mine at first, but later his father had moved onto something he called a "Sticky grenade". Sounded pretty good, till the pet cat touched a prototype and it went everywhere. Radagons mom had a fit that lasted three days till she convinced his dad to put the project on hold and move it out. Radagon gave himself a silent chuckle and then went back to work. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

~*Radagon Mimuria*~Radagon was disappointed by yet another failure, but there was no point crying over spilled milk or whatever the saying was that related to stubborn rope. This time the rope was just falling apart whenever he tried to knot it, becoming limp in his hands and then just not tying correctly. Setting it down for now, Radagon gave himself a breather and would just continue on once he was ready. So, he relaxed in his chair and just thought about other projects his father had worked on. Another project his dad once worked on was a theory other researchers had come up with about the humans ability to create chakra. They had said that only humans, and even some animals, who had a strong relation to chakra had been evolving to the point when their chakra veins had developed from over exposure to nature chakra. Radagon had no idea what nature chakra was, but his father was interested in it and had tried to go on an expedition to find the sources of it. Unfortunately, the village had denied him and his friends the chance to go find out, as many knew that such things were only for ninja who were given Sage status from certain training. Though disappointed by the denial, Radagons father went on to other projects. In a way, this related to Radagons own situation, as he knew a new project for him would come after this one was all over. So, he grabbed the rope and went for another crack at it. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Roswitha let out a deep annoyed growl as her second knot was an utter failure. She likely would have bit the thing in two but her muzzled condition wouldnt allow. So she settled for chucking it in a random direction before moving on to another piece of rope. She would not be defeated by something that wasnt even alive. Kokuhatsu looked as if it would have been laughing if the wolf had the ability to do so. It had always seemed to find Roswithas failures amusing. Or perhaps it was her reactions from having failed that did it. Either way it only served to annoy the feral girl even more. This was the first task assigned to her since being brought back into civilization and she would not fail at such a simple thing. She began attempting to tie the next knot very slowly and carefully. She didnt want to look a fool to these people. She may not know much about being a ninja or other things but she was not unintelligent. Then again the others in the room looked to be having a mess of a time with these knots as well. At least she wasnt the only one. (201Words)

Loric quickly through his hands over his noise in disgust at the oder that was radiating from down the hall way. The overwhelming stench of rotting flesh bombarded his senses sending him into a dizzying spiral that caused him to momentarily loose his balance. To save himself from falling, Loric threw his arm out and branched himself against a near by all. "What the hell is that?!" his voice cracked out in dismay. It was just then that the mental trance of the deaths scent was broken by words of caution from one of his class mates. It was Sanyo, the unexpected ace. "There is something seriously wrong here...this smell..I have only ever experienced it once before.." Lorics eyes widened as he mentally flashed backed to the moment that he reentered his family home after his parents had been assassinated. Even though the entire place had been wiped clean, leaving no visible traces of their demise, he could still smell it. The smell of the grim reaper himself. Glancing down the hall way, Loric could just barely make out of the figure of another young girl, he didn't know her name but he was sure that she was one of his fellow students. "What is she..? What is she doing!?" he yelled at Sanyo as if he would know the answer, "She can't go in there alone...we gotta do some...aarraaak" before he could even finish speaking Loric doubled over onto the ground and began blowing chunks of vomit out onto the ground. The super heightened senses of his clan made the blow one hundred times greater. "I...can't... I have get out of here." he mumbled as he fought to gather himself to his feet and limp towards the exit of the academy. Quote: 297/600 Step 2 :: The Run

~*Radagon Mimuria*~With glee, Radagon was able to complete his second knot. It filled him with hope that he was now done with at least two of his ten knots that he had to deal with, and even though he still had eight to go, then that means he was closer to complete the task he was at. Radagon then heard a 'swoosh' go by him as a piece of rope was tossed to the side. Seemed someone was also having problems with the rope knots too. Though what knots they were doing he didn't know, at least he wasn't alone in the task. He had the rope now untied so that it was ready for another knot attempt, but he put the rope down for a bit. He had noticed, but his hands were getting a bit rough from the rope. Taking a moment to rub his thumb over the bruises, he felt that he could probably go a little while longer before any blisters began popping up on his palms. Though how long that was going to be he had no clue, he needed to stay focused on the task at hand. So grabbing the rope once again, Radagon began moving one end of the rope into a loop for his next knot. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sanyo couldn't pick up the smell as well as her classmate but certainly she could pick it up now however faint it was. Was something wrong? Of course there was something wrong, that other student walked into probably the creepiest place Sanyo had ever seen without so much as a hint of hesitation, like she was drawn to it. "I agre... EW! " Sanyo was cut short on responding thanks to the sudden vomit attack by Loric. Could it be caused by his senses being better than her's? The smell was certainly unpleasant. Sanyo went into action meekly lifting Loric for support as she helped him out of the building, he seemed completely disoriented. It wasn't long before they were clear of the building and Sanyo made sure Loric could stand steady before stepping away. "S..so what should we do, should we get a teacher? " She questioned quietly, an edge of panic on her voice, as her gaze was stuck on the academy building. It was creepy itself at this point... Everything was creepy to Sanyo at night... Though it was dark and creepy outside she felt bad for the classmate who went into the far creepier hallway. Quote: Part 2- 'The Run' 197/600
