Nola creapt along with the males and remained silent. As they drew closer to their prey she kept herself low to the ground and she found that she could hear things better and see things clearer. She could even see the dirt moving in the breeze.

Nuri caught sight of the boar and nodded to Ling before slinking off into the grass to circle around to the other side. His movements were smooth and nearly silent, feet touching the ground with velvet softness. When he was in position, only a thin veil of grass stalks separated his face from the open air. He crouched, close to the ground and ready to spring into a run. Slowly, brightly-colored tail-feathers came up above the grass to signal his readiness. Hopefully Ling would see, and the boar would think it was a bird. After all, he was bright enough to be.

Ling moved to a possitios opposite the toher male. It wasn't directly across, he had to account for the boar turning to escape. He noted the tail in the air and raised his own. on his signal they would both attack. He watched the boar closely.
The unsuspecting creature drank from the lake, it's back on the three lions.
Ling nodded to himself and flicked his tail once in the air. hoping that Nuri would see it he darted into action.

Nola stayed off to the side ready to move out of the way if need be. The air was tense with what would happen next. The tiny kit pressed her belly to the ground and waited.((night))

Nuri caught sight of raven-feathers and knew it must be Ling. Good. His muscles tensed as he watched the boar drink from the lake. Then the signal, and both males shot free of the grass on either side of the boar. Nuri got in position to herd the boar toward Ling. The king should have the killing blow, but Nuri was ready in case things did not go according to plan.

Ling took off after the boar, his body sway back and forth to keep the boar from getting away. He lunged forward, his mouth open wide to take down the animal. his claws pinned the boar to the ground as his maw closed around it's neck.

((And now that my computer is possibly done wigging out... stare ))
The golden land was before him in an infinate landscape of beautiful glowing sand and the warm, beating sun above. He looked at it in awe as he sat on the border between grass and sand. Pawing the grains curiously, he cautiously took a step, then another and another until he was fully surrounded by the strange new footing, though still well in sight of the land. He bounced around a little bit, satisfied with the sinking paw prints he left. His ears twitched in every direction, taking in al of the new sounds of the desert, and his eyes flew everywhere, interested in seeing everything there was to see about this new landscape. It was so different than the grasslands, and seemed so welcoming! The warmth, the endlessness of it all...
He continued his way into the desert, knowing better than to run by now. The sun was hotter than it had been on his way, and he figured that if it had fatigued him on his travel here, certainly it would drop him in minutes.
A certain sound made his hair stand on end. He stopped moving, save for his ears, which whirled in every direction, trying to pick up on the exact locaiton of this strange, and possibly threatening sound.

Once Ling had brought down the boar, he circled around it until he was sure it was dead. Then he sat down to catch his breath and looked around for Nola. She was great at hiding. "Would you like me to carry it back to the cave while you go looking for that cub? I'll catch up with you after."

The king pulled back fro mthe boar, the beat of the creature's heart having stoped long ago. He looked up at Nuri and nodded. "Yes...take it and make certain that the kittens feed. I will take my fill when I return..." He glance in the direction he had last seen Nola. "find Nola and take her with you...I won't have her out here alone."
Eith that said he dashed off in the direction of the desert. He had to hurry, it was not long before the midday heat would be on them, and the cub would not be able to survive that heat out there. His muscles screamed at him as he ran, but he would not stop, not till he found Shaitani.

It was not the sound of another lion that Shaitani heard, nor was it a boar or some sort of bird. He looked around, trying to find this strange creature, wnating to know what it was and if it would harm him. His ears finally located the creature, hiding behind a sand dune. He walked cautiously toward the sound, ready to pounce on it at any time, not even concerned if it would be larger than him.
As he topped the sand dune and looked over it, he saw a grey-black and tan-striped snake slithering up the dune toward him. It was not moving quickly, so to say, but rapidly enough that it was within lunging distance in no time.
shaitani looked down at it, suddenly worried, when his instincts kicked in. Ina moment his claws were drawn and dug deep into the head of the snake, blood covering the sand around it. He looked down at the creature's mauled head in amazment. Had he done this? He didn't particularly remembre doing it - it had all happened in a flash. He glanced back behind him and down the side of the dune that he had climbed, then to his paw. Blood was beginnig to clot in his fur. He wrinkled his nose and tried to clean it off with his tongue, but failed miserably. Prodding the snake ot make sure it was dead, he picked up the limp body in his jaws, careful not to crush it, and carried it back down the side of the dune.

Nuri took up the boar by the throat into his mouth and dragged it along behind him. At first he carried most of the carcass off the ground, but he knew that before long his neck and shoulders would ache with the strain. Once he got the boar out of sight of the water's edge, he called out softly to Nola. "We need to get back to the cave now with this boar. Ling's gone off after that other cub. Let's get going." He waited for her to show herself before starting off again.
(( I think I'll stop there for the night so Rhina can reply. ^^ ))

Ling hurried on, his body growing weak fro mthe run. Eventually he reached the desert portion of his lands. He looked out throughthe heat waves for the kitten. "Shaitani!!!" He roared loudly, trying to get the kitten's attention.

Shaitani sotpped as he heard his name roared out in the quiet of the desert. The rattle snake hung from his mouth as he hurried to reach Ling. The heat was beginning to bother him immensly now that the middle of the day was upon them. He looked to Ling, coking his head to one side. He layed the snake down, "...What...?"

The little kit stepped forward and looked at Nuri with all seriousness. "That was amazing. I will remember this well." She then walked over and picked up the boars tail to help carry the food home.

Ling looked down at the kit with the snake. His dark eyes narrowed and he moved toward the him. "I won't have you running off without anyone with you, is that understood? Yes this is my pride lands, but you could have been killed out there in the heat, you foolish FOOLISh little boy." He moved ot grabbed him in his mouth, lifting him into the air.
