Inari put on a fake deep voice, "Yes.I.Did." she mocked. She clutched her stomach because it was beginning to hurt from laughing so hard. "Your...face...!" she laughed, tears seeping from her eyes. She bit her lip and ran out the door, giving him a chase. "You'll never catch me!"she called, still laughing.

Jeromy thought that it was overly hilarious that Inari was trying to mock him. He noticed that she clutched her stomache and wondered what was wrong. He figured it was from her laughing so much because his ribs were starting to ache from laughing, which never happened. He heard her say about his face and then run out, screaming behind her that he couldn't catch her. Laughing out loud, Jeromy yelled after Inari saying, "I know these woods like the back of my hand!! You'd never be able to hide from me and I'm going to catch you anyways!"

Inari laughed at his declaration. "Id like to see you try!" she called back to him, he voice almost lost into wind. She ran straight through the woods, jumping over fallen trees and swatting away branches. The smile never left her face and the gleam never left her eyes. "Oh, Jeromy!"she called, willing him to come towards her.

Jeromy snickered at Inari and he continued chasing her. He had paths laid out all around the cabin and over a two acre area. He saw the direction and turned off the path Inari happened to be on. He ran as fast as he could, taking into consideration all the trees, undergrowth and other obstacles that were in the way. When he got back onto the trail that Inari had been using he would have been infront of her. Not knowing if Inari was even on the same trail anymore or if she was even on a trail, Jeromy walked slowly trough the trees, looking for any signs of Inari.

Inari didn't know where she had gone. It was. Darker part of the forest. It was getting dark and she was getting scared. Spiders and bugs were crawling everywhere, so Inari couldn't sit down or lean against a tree. She rubbed her arms, goosebumps rising on her pale skin. "Jer...Jeromy! Where are you!?" she called, her eyes no longer shining in happiness, but rather in fear.

Jeromy knew the trails in both day and night, so he wasn't worried about getting lost. He was following the trail that Inari had been on when he heard her calling out to him. He couldn't see her so he called out, "Inari!!!" He knew that he had to find her before it got too dark because there were bobcats and other predatory animals that came out at night. He looked around, his eyes adjusting to the dark that was starting to blanket the trees. "Why did I let her run out of the cabin?" He asked, scolding himself.

Inari's fear was rising by the minute. "Jeromy! It's dark, ease come!" she called to him, wrapping her left arm around herself. She heard a growl and saw a pair of yellow eyes. "AHHHH!!!" she screeched out of terror. Tear began seeping from her eyes, "Jeromy!" she sobbed. ((I have to add drama wink ))

Jeromy heard Inari call out to him, saying it was dark. He knew it was getting really dark, but he could still see even though it was dark. He turned in the direction that he had heard Inari call from and at that very moment he heard a spinechilling cry from Inari. He had no idea why she screamed, but he had to find her. He had a small knife that he always carried with him, but he knew that if there was a bobcat, mountain lion or something else out there it would not be enough. He heard her call his name again and this time he heard she was crying. He looked through the trees and saw Inari. He immediately went to her, not noticing the amber eyes that were looking at them through the trees.

Inari heard Jeromy come, but she was too terrified to move. "J-Jeromy...w-what is that..." she shook out. She stretched a hand out in his direction, wanting him to take it and pull her, or at least just take it; give her some comfort.

Jeromy was a bit confused by Inari's words. He hadn't known what she was talking about until he looked around; his eyes falling on a set of narrow, golden eyes. His eyes widened as he stared into the gleeming, yellow eyes. He put himself between Inari and whatever was in among the trees. He started yelling at whatever it was, trying to scared it as he brandished his knife. He didn't know if that was such a good idea, but he wasn't about to let anything happen to Inari. If it was a mountain lion, he would do everything to protect Inari from getting hurt. Even if that meant him taking the big cat on, if that was what was in the shadows. He knew he could be killed by a mountain lion and didn't want that, not one bit. Though, he wouldn't be able to live with himself if Inari would be hurt. True, they didn't know each other well and the feelings that they felt may not have been real just then. But he was going to act on those feelings and protect Inari.{ooc: It's fine ^^ You can decide what happens next if you want. I didn't do anything because I wasn't too sure if I should.}

Inari's eyes widened in fear. Se threw her arms around Jeromy's waist, "No! Jeromy, no! You'll get hurt!" shedding know where her voice came from, or how she managed to move, but she did. "Jeromy, please! Let's just go back..." she buried her face in the crook of his neck. Suddenly, the large cat growled, and Inari shrieked, quickly covering her mouth. She grabbed the back of Jeromy's shirt and tried pulling him back, "Jer... Please..." anyone would be able to hear the fear in her voice.

Jeromy was standing his ground when he felt Inari put her arms around his waist. "No. I have to scare it off or it'll just chase us when we turn tail and run." Jeromy said. Feeling her putting her face into his neck, Jeromy pulled away a little. When the big cat growled, Jeromy flashed his knife again. Jeromy could feel Inari tugging on his shirt and the fear in her voice. "No, Inari. You really don't wan to run. It'll trigger a predatory response." He said, not taking his eyes away from the golden eyes that were glaring at him.

Inari nodded and went and stood next to him, "Then please... Scare it and we'll go..." she pleaded. "Shoo!" she yelled and bit her lip, not sure of what reaction she would get.

Jeromy looked back at Inari and shook his head. "You're just going to end up having it attack. I'm sorry, but you just aren't intimidating." He said apologetically before screaming at the mountain lion again. He moved closer to the big cat again and then he hollered at the cat, trying to chase it into the forest. Though the cat wasn't going to back down so easily. Jeromy stood his ground, showing his authority. The big cat stalked closer to Jeromy. Jeromy gripped his knife and his palms were getting sweaty. He pulled his arm back, just as the cat lashed its sharp claws at Jeromy, however, Jeromy swung his arm at the same time. The knife came down across the bug cat's face causing it to scream in agony, though he hadn't done so before the sharp claw raked his chest. He held in a scream for Inari's sake, but then stabbed the cat again before it ran off into the trees, whimpering. Jeromy fell to his knees and was gripping at the grass and leaves, trying to ignore the pain in his chest.{ooc: I'd have had this posted earlier, but the internet disconnected for a bit and my post was erased xd }

"I can show you just now intimidating I can be..." she thought, a not so clean thought running through her mind and she blushed. How am I able to be dirty now? she scolde herself. She saw the lion slash at Jeromy and she held in a scream because she saw the Jeromy had hit it. When the lion hit Jeromy she let out a yell, "Oh, my God! Jeromy!" she called and rushed to him when he fell. She grasped his face, "Jeromy! Jeromy... You need to get up... We are going to walk to the cabin and I'll clean you up..." she told him, placing her hands on his arms and trying to get it up. ((It's completely fine! smile ))
