Ginny felt her cheeks burn even more when Chris asked what she was thinking about. "N-nothing," she said quite unconvincingly. "Actually... it is something..." She continued to watch the lizard for a moment before glancing up at Chris. "I'm knowing I'm being forward... but I... I like you, Chris... I haven't felt this way about a man in a long time and I just... I don't know... I want to be honest with you, but I don't want you to be scared away by that..."

His smile dropped and his eyes grew wide, a delighted feeling beginning to spread through him. "Let's move from here," he suggested, taking her hand and pulling her out of the reptile house, towards a more secluded area. Flowers beds were planted in a pseudo maze and there were a few benches. Chris pulled Ginny down next to him and tentatively pushed her hair to the side.
"You wouldn't scare me off, Ginny," he promised, his voice gentle and soft. "I like you, too, very much," he took her hand, gently kissing her knuckles. "I don't know if it's already happening, or if it's the proper way to do this but... Ginny never moved her gaze away from Chris, wanting to see his reaction to everything she said. When his smiled dropped, so did her stomach. Was her confession too soon? God, I'm such an id- Ginny stopped beating herself up when Chris took her hand and led her out of the reptile house. He pulled her over to one of the benches, sitting her down and brushing stray hairs from her face. Hearing Chris's promise, a small smiled played across her lips. That's what they all say... she thought before quickly pushing it from her mind. She needed to have a man in her life again, and she was more than willing to give Chris that chance. So when he asked if she would be his girlfriend, Ginny grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Yes!"

When she did, his face split into a huge grin and he put his hands on her hips, tentatively, bringing his face a bit closer. "Is this the part where we kiss?" he asked, voice low. Chris's gaze flicked down to Ginny's lips for a second before he looked back up into her eyes. Adrenaline was pumping through Chris. He hadn't been with a girl in so long; let alone have a girlfriend. Ginny felt Chris's hands on her hips and pulled away slowly, keeping her arms loosely draped around his neck. "I-is it?" she asked, blushing profusely. She bit her bottom lip and smiled, averting her gaze from his. "I... I suppose it could be..." Looking back at Chris, she glanced down at his lips and slowly moved her face in closer.

He reached up and tentatively pushed away a lock of her hair. How cliche... he thought. All his moves were tentative and he leaned in, very slightly, and their noses brushed. Chris rolled his tongue over his teeth and his eyes flicked back down to Ginny's lips. "Only if you want me to, Ginny... I don't want to pressure you or... Or..." he didn't know how to go on. Ginny watched as Chris slowly leaned in as well, pausing when their noses met. She lowered her gaze so that she did not go cross-eyed and smiled at his words. When he trailed off, she shut her eyes and closed the last few inches between them. The moment their lips connected, butterflies welled up inside of Ginny. It had been such a long time since she had last experienced this and she did not want the feeling to end. After a few more seconds of tentative kissing, she pulled away slowly and glanced up at Chris as if to ask him for permission to continue.

As an automatic response, his hand went up to the back of her hand, one of them still on her waist. It took all he had to not groan at the feel of his date's - no, girlfriend's - soft lips. He had kissed girls before, but this was so different... Why? Chris didn't know.
As Ginny pulled away, Chris looked at her, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips when he noticed her pink cheeks, swollen lips and sparkling eyes. All because of me... he thought, feeling deliriously happy. His eyes flickered between Ginny's and he saw her's asking for permission, and he didn't get why. Their lips were only apart for a few seconds before Chris took Ginny's cheeks and pulled her in, kissing her much more passionately than before. Ginny's heart began to race as she returned the kiss with just as much enthusiasm. She scooted herself closer, placing one hand on her boyfriend's chest and the other on his leg. We probably shouldn't be kissing like this in public, she thought, smiling slightly as she wondered what anyone walking by was thinking. However, Ginny honestly did not care.

"I..." Ginny did not get the chance to respond right away because Chris continued to talk and plant kisses all over her face. Ginny smiled even more and blushed when he rubbed his hand along her side. "Chris!" she laughed, lightly pushing him away. "I was smiling because we're being the poster children for PDA!" She glanced around quickly before returning her attention to her boyfriend.

It had begun to get darker, and Chris knew that Ginny had a few different jobs. "We should probably get going, anyway," he sighed, standing up and stretching. He held out his hand for his girlfriend and led her along to the exit. "What was your favorite part of our super short trip?" he teased, lacing their fingers together.
The only exit was through the gift shop, and so Chris took Ginny through there. Right as they were walking out, he spotted a necklace with a giraffe head and neck on it and grinned. "Hold on." he let go of her hand and got the cute necklace, getting it wrapped. Putting the small trinket in his pocket, Chris went back to Ginny. Ginny pouted slightly, but she knew Chris was right. She still had to pick up Alex and... Alex! Ginny internally groaned as she thought about her little boy. What was Chris going to think when he found out she had a son? Would he be turned off by that fact and leave her? Or would he be a rare exception and actually stick around? I have to tell him... Ginny thought, taking his hand and walking with him to the exit. "If we're being honest," she started off, looking up at Chris. "I liked the part where we kissed." She smiled and moved closer to him. However, he pulled away when they reached the gift shop. "Don't take forever!" Ginny smirked and rolled her eyes as she checked the clock on the wall. A few minutes later, Chris was walking out and taking her hand again. "Let's go." They then made their way out to the cable car stop and waited for their ride back.

Once the cable car came, Chris helped his girlfriend on and got on beside her, one and still holding hers, and the other one in his pocket, fingering the small gift. Ginny looked up at Chris and giggled softly at his question. "We'll see," she said with a smile. There's no harm in that... I'll just have to wait a few minutes for him to leave before I go and get Alex... Holding onto Chris's hand, Ginny go into the cable car before wrapping her arm around his waist for support. As she was thinking about Alex again, Chris leaned in and asked her one more question. Ginny's heart dropped as she avoided his gaze. I can't keep something like this a secret forever, she thought. And I don't want to keep secrets... Not from Chris... Sighing, she turned her green eyes up to his. "I... I have something to show you... but you have to promise not to freak out... Please?"
