"Did you hear us?" She asked without looking up. Danny looked up from her chair and her eyes landed on Evanna as she spoke. She looked down and looked a little guilty herself. "I... I ..." she started, but stopped, not sure if she should go on. What would she do if she knew? "I did," Danny finally said, running a hand through her hair.

As she did, she forced herself to remain completely relaxed and nonthreatening. She looked up at the girl. "You aren't in trouble, it'd be my fault you overheard, but there are some things you can't yet know and I need to do damage control." She took another sip of her drink and closed her eyes calmly. "So. Spill. Quickly now, before Alexander comes back. He doesn't need anything else troubling him at the moment so it would be best to not worry him with the knowledge you overheard us."╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny looked down at the floor as she felt scolded, although Evanna wasn't being mean or anything. "I heard Alexander say that he had used human women for sport... and kidnapping human children..." Her voice was quiet and breathy. Her eyes filled with fear and she tucked her legs around her on her chair, her hands now over her face. She had gotten so scared so fast. What in the world was she supposed to do?

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Evanna put her hand on her forehead. "Of course you heard that part. Naturally." She sighed. She looked up then. "Dear, don't judge Alexander by all that, he was raised in a very different world than this one. A very dark one. He hasn't associated with those who still dwell there for many, many years." She said, practically pleading with her. "Believe me, he is no more a threat to you than Rasiel is to a wolf." She said, gesturing to the fox. It was then that Alexander came through with Danny's water. "I do apologize for taking so long, it turns out that while we were in here the- What's happened?" He said, looking between the two of them and picking up on the somber mood immediately. He turned to look at the witch. "Evanna..." He said suspiciously, but the witch held her hands up. "This one's all you. mate." She said as Skah shuffled nervously on her shoulder. He wasn't a fan of confrontation.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny listened to Evanna as she spoke, her face changing from scared to concerned. Was that really the truth? Well, Alexander did say that he used to do it, not that he still does it. She stood up when Alexander came in, and then took a step towards him when he asked his question. "Alexander," she said quietly, "I.. I..." She couldn't finish her sentence. Was she supposed to tell him that she overheard him now that she had an answer? She stayed quiet, nervous to speak now.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗"Oh, it was just girl talk, Alexander. You know how we girls are." Evanna spoke up, waving a hand nonchalantly. "But girls have their secrets you know." She said, eying him "Just like everyone" she added. It was obvious that she knew Alexander wouldn't buy it, and she was hinting hard that he should stop it. Alexander sighed. "Right you are my friend." He said, running a hand through his hair. It seemed to be a habit of his. After a moment he clapped his hands together softly. "I believe the atmosphere's gotten a bit too heavy. Evanna, my fireplay has gotten a tad rusty so if you wouldn't mind? Danny, would you like to see a little show?" He asked kindly, smiling at the human girl who held his heart, though of course she didn't know it yet.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny couldn't help but let the corners of her mouth turn up in a smile when Alexander ran his fingers through his hair. He was unbelievably cute when he did that. She shoved the thought from her head and nodded at Evanna's response. She'd have to agree with her little white lie for now. Alexander seemed to buy it and Danny was grateful, although she wasn't sure if she should believe that he actually did.
At Alexander's request to Evanna, Danny furrowed her brows as she said, "Wait, what? What do you mean?"

Fire isn't as fond of you as Earth is." And she held her hand over the flames. "Salue Eithne, invoco te ad emergere ex flamma. Suus 'ludo tempus." She said quietly, before dipping her fingers into the flames fearlessly. When she withdrew them, the flames had clung to them, but she was not burning and the flames appeared to move more like lava. "Alexander, you should probably go ahead and appease it, I'm not holding it forever." She said. ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Danny's eyes grew at the sight before her. Evanna's hand was on fire! What was she supposed to think? Weird things had definitely happened before, but this was a lot to take in. She looked to Alexander for explanation as she stuttered, "W-What's happening?"

"Mo lasracha cairdiúil, iarr mé do do bheannacht agus swear a dhéanamh aon dochar." before holding his hand out. Evanna made to throw the flame like a ball, and it shot from her hand to Alexanders. Danny blushed as Alexander winked at her, and she sat back in her seat, feeling the warmth behind her cheeks. She looked over at Evanna as she threw the fire, and Danny gasped and sat back up in her seat, standing up as Alexander almost dropped it. She took a step towards him, watching the bright colors of the fire as he seemed confused. What could be wrong with the fire? she thought as she asked, "What's the matter?"
