There was no blood, not guts, the Rock-Type's eyes simply went black, it's corpse appearing like nothing more then ordinary rubble.
Of course almost as soon as one fell, another Geodude would appear!

Riku silently cheered her Totodile on! The blue reptile was doing good so far. They just needed to keep going!
Yoshi sliced through the first opponent. He hadn't meant to kill the pokemon but well maybe it had been the pokemon's time to go. Leaping up and down, the Totodile watched as another Geodude replaced the first. He began to dance forward, jumping up and down almost skipping to slice through this one with Metal Claw once more. The claw started to glow silver as he slashed at it!

Riku continued to watch anxiously. Alright, two down and three more to go. Once the rock pokemon was released, she saw it was stronger then before. Uh-oh. She hoped that Yoshi would be able to handle it...
Yoshi sliced through his second opponent and the third was released. This one was obviously more powerful. The Totodile decided to try and strike hard. He remembered the feeling he had being inside of the Feraligatr. The silver glow around his claw was a little stronger then before as he let loose a roar as he charged forward!

Crossing his arms the Geodude would curl into a tight ball, attempting to defend himself better from oncoming attacks. A simple defense curl.

Riku looked at Yoshi anxiously. The Geodude could explode at any time!
Yoshi though about his choices. He only had two options but it was going to be a hard decision. The Totodile leapt forward aiming to slash the Geodude apart with Metal Claw!

[55 EXP]Again the Totodile's claws would cut into the Geodude's stony flesh and cutting it's wick before anyone could light that candle! Hunks of rubble would strike the ground amidst those of the first two Geodude, however it was clear this battle was far from over. Just as with the others the moment one Geodude fell another would appear, primed and ready to blow!

Riku let out the breath that she had been holding. This was a very tricky situation. The girl looked anxious as another Geodude rolled out. Okay...after this one, there was one more. Could they make it?
Yoshi managed to slice through the other Geodude though it had been a really close call. This time in no mood for games, he lunged with Metal Claw once more!

Yoshi's claws would strike stone, but unlike before though they would slice deep into the Geodude, they would not reach open air on the other side. Embedded in the Geodude's body, the Rock-Type's eyes seemed to glint faintly as he uncrossed his arms...only to wrap themselves around himself a moment later. Like his predecessors' the Geodude was strengthening his defense for the big-bang!

Riku watched as Yoshi tried slicing through the Geodude. It was harder to defeat and he didn't manage all the way. The Geodude began using the same move his last opponent had done.."Yoshi, finish him!"
The Totodile flexed his claws. Wow, his attack wasn't as strong as it had been before. Since it wasn't attacking, he decided to try and finish this. He only had this chance before it was likely to explode. His claws glowing silver, he lashed forward aiming to counter attack with Metal Claw!

Like the other's this Geodude would be replaced by another...and it was immediately apparent just how significant the difference in strength was between this one and the last!

Riku continued to watch as the Geodude finally was knocked out like the previous ones. Then her purple gaze widened upon the sight of the new one. This was by far the hardest opponent. It looked tough and they only had two chances to take it out. Odds were not in their favor...Still she had to keep faith in Yoshi. The girl began praying, hoping he could do this!
The Totodile managed to defeat the other and it was finally the last one left. This one was strong, and it wasn't any less then he had expected. The blue reptile began leaping up and down, almost doing some kind of dance of some sort. Letting out a Quack, he charged slashing with Metal Claw!

((It also occurred to me that I forgot to apply the secondary effect of Metal Claw during this whole battle.))

Be it a quirk of fate or luck, the Totodile's attack would be flawless, striking down his opponent in a single blow with precision and lack of unnecessary force. The Geodude would fall to the ground among it's brothers and sisters.
Yet still the battle was not over; for while another Geodude did not appear, the man whom commanded them would step forward. Eyes gleaming with what one could only describe as pure, unfiltered crazy, he would grin as he stated in a clear voice "Boom."
The next instant his thumb would click against a detonator, and the explosives strapped to his body would activate. There was no avoiding this blast, and unfortunately no avoiding the resulting splatter either. Riku was likely far enough away to avoid any physical damage...but her Pokemon wouldn't be so lucky.

Riku watched as the man's last Geodude was sliced by Yoshi. That had been way too close of a battle. But her Totodile had come through, as dependable as always. Grinning, she was about to pick him up when the male said something. Hearing the one word, there was a loud explosion that Yoshi had been caught in. Panicking, she rushed forward to be splattered with the remains of what had been a crazed trainer and Yoshi seemed hurt but still alive. Resisting the urge to start screaming, she instead tried to clear her mind. Avoid thinking about what exactly had splattered all over her.... she rummaged through her pack and pulled out a potion. Spraying it on Yoshi so that he was on full health, she pulled off her jacket and began wiping herself off... before wiping her Totodile as well. At least she liked to wear various layers of clothes... Tossing the jacket on the ground, she began running. They had to leave that part of the tunnel...now!
Yoshi didn't seem disturbed in the slightest. He just sat on Riku's shoulder happily quacking to himself. Things were strange. He was strange. Ah, life.
