Neil said "Alright" as he pushed open the door that lead outside. He held it open for Jasmine. He knew that Avarice would be rather happy to see her walking out. He wonder if Avarice would manage to knock her over.

Jasmine walked out and caught Avarice as he lept at her with a happy bark. He had never managed to knock her over, not yet. She laughed as the large dog showered her face with sloppy kisses.

"Yes he was quite worried about you." Neil said as he watched Avarice give Jasmine sloppy kisses. He waited a moment or two before saying "Anyway the crime scene is this way." He started to slowly walk down the street towards the crime scene.

Avarice lept from Jasmine's arms and ran right at Neil. Jasmine knew what her was going to do. She knew that Avarice considered him part of his pack.

Neil heard Avarice coming at him and he turned around. Avarice ran up and jumped to him, but Neil was ready for him. He patted him as he licked his face. After a moment he said "Easy boy." He lowered his front paws onto the side walk and looked over to Jasmine and said, "We have work to do. Are you ready?"

Jasmine took a second to wipe the slobber from her face before she spoke. "Of course I'm ready," she said calmly. Avarice barked.

Neil smiled as he cleaned his own faced. "Then lets go." He said as he stood up and looked at her a moment. He slowly turned back around and started to head towards the crime scene.

Jasmine quickened her pace so that she walked beside him. Avarice ran past them so he could be in front.

Neil chuckled some to himself as he watched Avarice run past them and take the lead. He remained quiet, he didn't like to be the one to break silence. In full truth he actually enjoyed things to be quiet.

Jasmine said nothing as well. She could sense they were being followed. Her mind recognized the follower as her brother though she was not sure why he was following them. She did not tell Neil though, they'd meet soon enough if she knew her brother. To him Jasmine was the one that got away and she knew he'd fix that. She was already coming up with a reckless plan to use that to catch him in the act.

Once they got to the crime scene Neil glanced around the street seeing both how open and how easy it is to disappear around there. Good bit of foot traffic during the day, which would insure the body be found. He walked towards the alley where the body was found. He looked from one side to the other doing his best to pick out what should be there and what was left.

Jasmine watched him silently as Avarice began to growl. "Hello Chris," she said quietly without turning around to look.
"Hey sis," her brother replied. "You survived last night I see."
"Of course," Jasmine said. "The cops came before you really got into it."
"Yes, that was unfortunate," Chris said calmly. "Next time you won't be so lucky Jazz."
Jasmine shrugged. "I don't know Chris," she said. "I might get lucky again." She turned around to look at him then.

As Neil looked over the scene he heard Avarice beginning to growl. He glanced back towards her to see what or who see was growling at. It took only a moment to understand who it was. He turned around and walked slowly towards them.

Jasmine couldn't help the pang of regret she felt when she saw her brother. He could be her twin though he was older than her.
"Your boyfriend is coming Jazz," Chris said, snapping her out of her mind. "Before I leave know this, I will come back for you sis. Take this now." He walked up to her, ignoring Avarice's snarls, and pressed a beautiful white rose into her hand. "I know you love roses and white is such a lovely color." Jasmine could only stare.

Neil walked up to Jasmine and placed a hand on her shoulder and asked "Are you alright Jasmine?" He realized that seeing her brother would not be easy to handle. His eyes caught a glimpse of the white rose in her hand.
