She struck again, a light strike again the tentacle, and it was enough to give Rue a taste of what she loved. The weapon moaned again, demanded more, and Ofelia was about to say something about it when the tentacle swung back and got her good. This sucked, it stung like it was going out of style, but she was still well off and able to continue fighting. Healing up with her bandages had been a good idea (Ofelia gave herself a mental pat on the back).
If she could manage one more hit then she'd be good and somewhat useless, her weapon overly charged and too spent to attack further. There was no way she could aid her friends pass that point but for now it seemed like a good enough goal.
Thinking too far ahead always hurt the sun trainee's head.

"Well you do make some pretty mean sandwiches." he grinned toothily. It helped take his thoughts off how ******** cold it was out there and the pain in his shoulder and the danger. There was confidence he hadn't had in a long time, and he had been carrying it through to his attacks.
This time though, he went wide, the tentacle hauling back from both of them, well out of range.

Much like most eligible bachelors he just settled for the next nearest tentacle and gave it a weak smack. It reciprocated with about the same amount of force expected.

"Its okay! It could have been much worse." He said in reply to the death trainee's apologies. Like for instance, they could have failed to hit and defend and the titan could have hit them hard enough to break limbs or something. Yeah, this was nothing in comparison.
Noting the tentacle sweeping toward them again, this time low to the ground, Ryan dug his feet in and drove the clawed tips of his gauntlets straight into the tentacle.

It was time to take the relationship up a notch and he showed his interest in doing so by hitting the tentacle a bit harder than usual. It didn't appreciate the abusive relationship and smacked Jude just to show how little it appreciated it.
Jude actually let out a sound during that hit.

Harrison couldn't do s**t about the tentacle. But he uncrossed B0nez, half-catching Candace as they were both thrown back against the ice.
He pushed her up, shouldering the weight, and steadied himself as well as he could. He'd played some baseball. This was kind of the same thing. Just don't get crushed.

Ouch ouch. Ofelia knew she was going to have to bite the bullet and go for it and so she did, not thinking to look for someone. She didn't want to wait for a moon person to decide to partner with her, they had their own things to do and seemingly went after specific people themselves, and so she just moved on in and took another hit at a tentacle. It was enough, Rue was basically having a dry orgasm in her hands, and Ofelia got knocked back hard. It sent her into the area near the harpoons, good, and she struggled to get to her feet as the remnants of her FEAR shield crackled.
She'd done her share, she needed to charge everything now. Good timing, considering she could no longer really stand on her own. Using those bandages when she had really was a good, good idea. all she needed to do now was get to the harpoon and shove Rue in, charge it up, and hope for the best.
Also, try not to die in the snow. That was kind of important.

Wilson had to admit that Ryan’s reasoning was logical. Neither of them was injured, which was the most important thing at the moment. The trainee noticed the tentacle sweeping low and he moved to attack it, but instead tripped over on the ice instead. The ice was pretty slippery.

Candace grunted as Harrison caught her, trembling against him as he helped her stand. Was she ready for round two? Candace nodded, eyes narrowed and glaring at the flailing tentacles. She spat out, going in for another swing at it.
This time she did much better, cutting a clean slice out of the tentacle before being smacked yet again. Stupid..!

It was time for a break in the relationship. Jude dug in his pack got out a bandage and hastily put it on the part of him that hurt the most and then he was ready to rock and roll..As he stood there kind of trembling and weaving about like a drunk.

Ryan made a face at the death trainee, shrugging when he announced his miss.
"Don't let it get to you, it happe--" His sentence was cut short when the tentacle came at them again, this time easily sweeping past him and towards the death trainee. "Look out!"

Tentacles. it just had to be something freaky. Leon was not pleased as his face glared at the offensive tendril. "Why did it have to be tentacles?" he moaned to himself, all the bad luck. A tentacle monster that could survive in the arctic. of all things.
It needed to die and fast.
"I'm going to carve you up and sell you to all the fishmongers in chinatown!" he screamed in a rage and pounded his chainsaw at the beast. And got promptly tentacle slapped for his efforts

"I also make pretty good beds." She actually did. Those insanely smooth hotel like sheets? Cass could accomplish them.
With ease. Then again, she'd spent nearly 12 years of her life IN Hotels, so that was where that had stemmed from.

And in he went with the next hit on a tentacle. The tentacle moved in to hit him in return. The edges of his vision were getting a bit blurry. Heee, this is a fun game.

Clerise abandoned her post for now, as it looked like people were charging a different harpoon. A struggling hunter caught her eye, so she ran up to Jude, bandages in hand.
