[Watching]

Shehk wasn't immediately willing to throw herself into the fray, even as the scent of blood began to feed into her nerves - her cravings. It smelled delicious, but she had to try and hold off for a moment. She needed to see what the Horsemen were doing - how they were going about it.

There seemed to be two kinds of humans: Those with the shiny glowing weapons, and those without them. Those who were without them were easily targeted first by the clan warriors, pulled apart. One of the warriors went in, pulling the human asunder quickly, causing the scent of blood to fill the air. It smelled delicious, and as it had been with the old Greco-romanesque scene through the first door, Shehk found the scent willing her into a frenzy.

Was this just an illusion?

It was. It had to be.

They were hunters either way. It was all their fault.

All.

Their.

Fault.

There was a brief startling moment as a train rocketed past, and their surroundings had changed considerably. The students had gone from a paradise to an urban wasteland, and Taryn made a bit of a face. Her attention then turned to the clansmen and their conversation, making note of their order to 'watch their actions'. What would the clans have wanted?

The ghoul looked down at herself then, noticing that her clothes were gone and had been replaced by a uniform similar to the clan warriors, as well as carrying a pair of daggers. This was... unusual, and more like an enchanted dream at every moment.

In a moment, the Hunters had appeared, flanked by humans who had no weapons at all. They were soft, fleshy, afraid... all except for the Hunters, of course.

Taryn lunged into the battle with a cry, slicing at the Hunters' arms and throats before lunging back against the wall to avoid the swing of a heavy maul.

An odd noise caught Taryn's attention, one she hadn't heard before but that struck her. It was not one of her classmates gurgling with blood, though, but one of the humans. It fought with the inevitability of death for just a few moments before its eyes rolled back and its head lolled. It appeared to have not taken more than a stab or two... so fragile, these fleshy beings...

She moved from the scene of the unarmed human being killed, instead moving and nearly finding herself tripping over another human who laid out on the ground, making a sort of wet choking noise. There was so much blood, and Shehk found it fascinating - delicious. It smelled so good.

At first, she almost seemed like she was being gentle with the human, bending down over them and smoothing a hand over their hair almost gently, before she suddenly pulled their head back and suddenly exposed their neck for her. Her teeth sought out the bloodfilled veins of their throat, biting down hard, squeezing with her jaws. It took several seconds, but the weakened human soon stopped breathing from the pressure applied to their windpipe.

When she released with her teeth, more blood laced her lips and she found herself licking both her lips and the throat of the human she'd just put down.

The ghoul's eyes caught movement as it passed, though, and she wheeled around to face an unarmed human cowering in a corner. It was surrounded, dead for sure... but she didn't move. Taryn knew that look in its eyes... it was fear. Fear of the end, fear of pain. Her problem was not with the average human, whose fear brought power to Halloween, but with the Hunters. She winced as a stapled, white-haired ghoul bit out the human's throat before Taryn herself could have any chance to attack. The clans certainly would have expected and preferred a kill...

Enough! The chimera lunged at another Hunter, receiving a few new holes in the process, and breathed heavily as the battle calmed and then seemed to end entirely.

((Attack 2))

It wasn't too long before Shun managed to spot another human who had strayed from the group. Quietly, he glanced from side to side, trying to see if there were any of the hunters close enough to provide backup. This didn't seem to be the case. If anything, all the humans were too busy trying to not die.. and failing pretty horribly at it in the process.

It did make him wonder what the hell was going on here once more. He had never seen so many hunters in one place before, even at the Haunted House. At the same time, he had never seen the hunters be slaughtered like this. They deserved it though.

Moving in on the lone human, he managed to get behind him. Narrowing his eye, he grabbed him, covering his mouth with one hand before roughly running the blade across his throat. The human had tried to scream for help, but the sound was muffled out, and before too long, this one too had expired. The reaper pushed the body away before glancing down at the blade in his hand. In the low light, he could see a red gleam within it, thanks to all the blood that it was now covered in.

There were still many hunters left.

She almost got wrapped up in that taste, that scent. She tried to not lose herself in it, yet there was a part of her that couldn't help but be appealed to by it. So good.

So delicious.

She pulled away from the dead human, picking her knife back up to start trailing along after the group of warriors who were still picking off the humans, watching as one of them fell to the floor and was passed over as they moved to slaughter the others. All slaughter, it smelled amazing. Blood, rust.....

Yes, it smelled all like iron. The pricolici had moved to step over the fallen human when they made a coughing noise - they were still alive! She couldn't have that, and like the first one, she quickly took her blade and sliced it through their neck. Blood gushed forward, and Shehk took a deep breath, scenting the air.

Paradise. It was like a buffet to her stomach.

Dev took a visible step away from the source of the sound and wind. One eye cracked open to see the train whir by her, dragging along a horrible smell and filthy taste of metal. Disgusted with the feelings overtaking her senses, she closed her mouth to at least prevent herself from tasting more of the metallic twang. The setting had changed completely, morphing into one something dark and filled with noises noises noises that together grated her ears. The ensuing conversation flew over her head, but she attempted to pay attention anyways. Perhaps if she filed it away into her mind for later reference it would prove to be useful. The mention of ‘hunters’ caught her attention. Who were hunters?

“Huh?” When she looked down there was a bladed weapon in her hand, never mind the uniform. As time dragged on, Dev became increasingly aware of what kind of situation she had found herself in. Clan members whizzed by her while she slowly walked backwards, preferring to remove herself from the battle in order to observe it instead. She observed the humans with glowing weapons before moving her attention toward the clan members and noticed how they went for the weaponless humans first. It made sense. They were the weaker ones, meant to be disposed of first. She kept a curious eye on one of the humans, noticing the fear in his eyes as he found himself cornered before he disappeared behind the blurred figure of a Clans member. He was gone.

She continued to watch. There was something peculiar about the humans who wielded glowing weapons. It made Dev narrow her eyes suspiciously as she kept observing the scene. Humans weren’t supposed to have weapons like that. She pursed her lips until they formed a thin, tight line while she still hid in the shadows of the tunnel. Her gaze swept across the scene until she settled on a group of Clans members ganging up on a single human with a weapon. An ear flicked slightly when she picked up the sound of her shrieks. There was only apathy from the cu sith while she watched the Clans members continue to tower over the human. She managed a grin as she felt the waves of FEAR before it disappeared entirely and then there was a hollow clatter. Dev hummed thoughtfully. Hollow clatter?

((Attack 3))

Moving back towards the main battle, Shun saw several of the shadows descend onto one of the hunters. The one with his weapon out was putting up quite a fight, doing much better than the ones without. Perhaps the weaponless ones really were unarmed, which had him wondering why the hell the hunters would bring in people who weren't equipped.

He supposed that didn't matter right now. They would all die nonetheless. Once he saw an opening, he moved on in to attack, noticing that a few of the clansmen had actually died by this one's hand. He would not be an easy opponent to say in the very least.

The reaper lashed out, narrowly missing before he took a sharp blow through his left shoulder. Grimacing, he shifted off to the side, before aiming a slash towards their midsection. He grazed the hunter a few times before taking in another heavy blow. Grunting, he retreated back into the shadows. Fighting that one head on wasn't going to get him anywhere. Judging how many humans were left at this point, it didn't seem like the battle would last for much longer anyway.

What surprised Dev was the sight of a group of shadows dropping down to assault a group of humans. Some of them fell immediately. Glowing eyes noted their noticeable lack of weapons. That in itself did not surprise her, but the sight of the armed humans fighting back certainly did. Surprised intrigue spread across her face as she watched with fascinated eyes the scene unfold in front of her. Even more surprise and shock registered on her face when she watched a few of the Clans members be killed. That was an interesting spectacle. Her curious reached a peak, urging her to move closer toward the group so she could gather a better impression of it. Dev gripped her weapon tightly, actually entertaining the thought of joining in on the skirmish herself.

She decided to take a chance and walked forward, lifting her weapon and swung at a couple of the humans. Immediately, they retaliated and landed a number of decisive hits on her. Dev growled softly and hastily retreated back into the darkness to recover herself, though the opportunity to fight the armed humans had proved to be enlightening.

This place was different, more like home and yet far less desirable than the open hills and marble expanses of the world before. Aymet listened curiously to the half-conversation that was clearly center stage this time. 'Hunters' seemed pretty key this time, unlike the rather more confusing 'mortal' group they'd first fought against (and lost to). And once again, they were dressed for the occasion, this time in darkness.

But when the action began, Aymet moved with it. The humans that had died to his blades out in the open had emboldened him. When the other horsemen descended on one of the weapon-wielding hunters like a swarm of insects, Aymet was with them. Blades, claws, it almost didn't matter which he was digging into the dying hunter. All that mattered was the FEAR, he wanted more, tneedd more, it wasn't enough --

A sudden shockwave of blue light knocked Aymet away. He looked up to see several of the four clans army dissipate forcefully in the wave of it. A weapon?

He went a little berserk. Picking up the weapons in his claws, he tried to make a leap for this human. So did a few more unfortunate horsemen. Everything went blue and then white, but only Aymet's bones clattered to the floor. The rest of the attackers were just... gone.

The hunter locked eyes with Aymet briefly, disdainfully perhaps, before returning to the fray. The dracolich, in his frenzying, had gotten a little too bold, maybe. It took more than a single Hallowener to take down a hunter, he had learned already. Even these trained soldiers couldn't manage it.

Aymet knew better than to try that again.

[watching]

Kemnebi opened her eyes and briefly glimpsed a paradise, but the pretty singing in the background and a soft voice lulled her back to sleep. Opening her eyes a second time, she found she was back in the white room with Medea. That means their whole experience was...an illusion? Nebi remembered the scent of the incense and wondered if it were truly an illusion or, instead, a vision brought on by the incense.

The sound of the train broke her from her musings and the ghoul started paying attention to her new surroundings. The conversation she overheard hinted at another fight. More humans. More death. The cat-girl was starting to see a pattern here.

As the humans ran towards them, Kemnebi hung back, watching the fighting. Some of the humans had powerful, glowing weapons and were cutting a decent path through the clans. The ones without perished quickly. The ones with the strange weapons....

Nebi shivered. She'd never come across a hunter before, but her parents had told her stories. These humans and their weapons reminded her of those stories.
