Rep felt suddenly flatter and was just about to peck Jerry angrily before the other penguin warned him off it. He wilted and tried to preen his shoulder irritably.
"No bite."
And then there was fish. Fish made everything better. He tried to reach the held out sardine from where he was but of course, it wasn't quite close enough.
And he couldn't move because Jerry penguin was ******** heavy compared to him.

"I think we can just throw the sardines at them, I'm sure they can catch," Syd said, not wanting to hold onto the slimy things that long at all. "Consider it a form of training," she added as she rolled open the tin and tossed one of the fish at Rep.

Snapgulp. No more sardine. Jordan tried the cute eyes on Candace. "Thanks! More fish?"

Jerry was content to nap with his penguin brethren but then that smell wafted gloriously throuhg the air... with an excited quack, he hopped up, waddling out of the pile to n** at the fish laying on the ground OH GOD OH YES OH GOD OH YES, he gave a relieved noise as he swallowed it down, fluttering his tail feathers as he beamed up at Sasha, hungry for more, planting himself between her feet.

Rep snapped up the fish Syd had thrown and tossed it back with a mixture of delight and queasiness. The human in him reminded him he'd just swallowed a raw fish whole. The penguin side didn't care.
At least he no longer felt flat, that was a good thing right?
"Fish! fish! fish! MY FISH!" he wriggled in an attempt to get more thrown in his direction.

"If we throw them and they don't land close enough it could lure them out from under their blankets, guys. What's the lesser of two evils to you? Holding a sardine a couple extra seconds or suddenly p***s?" Candace said gently, raising a brow at the two girls before plucking out another fish for Jordan. What a cute penguin! Socuuuuuute! "Too bad they're going to be people again so--Jerry, stop that." Candace pouted as he insisted on being by Sasha. Stop it. Just. Stop.
Waiting until Jordan had taken the second sardine, Candace reached out to scoop Jerry off the ground away from Sasha. She plucked another sardine from the can and held it up in offering for him while cradling the penguin against her chest. "Fish?"

Sasha was trying to keep the yuck down by practicing deep breaths, but each inhale only brought the stench of canned fish directly to her nostrils.
"Oh gosh. Oh gosh. Uuughhh."
Maybe she could just. Get rid of her fish and then go sit down on the ice.
She slid a few more fish onto the snow at Jerry-penguin's feet, only to have Jerry-penguin snatched up by Candace. Now who was going to eat this ... stuff?
"I'm.. oh gosh. I can't believe they're eating this."
Wait..
Sasha turned owlishly round eyes in Candace's direction.
"What do you mean.. p-pe-pen-- ...you know." Her cheeks were suddenly on fire.

Rep finally wriggled free of the blanket.
There were FISH, and no one was EATING THEM.
He waddled over to Sasha and proceeded to clean up the unguarded fish happily.

The voice in his head was insisting everyone should be under blankets. "My head voice says you should come back here," Jordan informed Rep.
That's not what I said, but it'll be funnier that way, so I'm letting it slide. Ferros went off into gales of laughter again.

"Uh, yes...when...we change back from being penguins," We meaning obviously Candace experienced this herself. "We're naked." "It's not at all pleasant."

Rep paused with a fish in his beak and looked puzzled. He should? Okay then.
He unprotestingly waddled back to the blanket, ditching the last fish in front of Jordan's nose before slinking under the blanket again, with a bit less hassle than last time.
"My head voice says no things!" he stated informatively.

"No, it's not," Syd said. Her face was BRIGHT red. She'd never seen a p***s in real life!! This was NOT how she planned to start! "I'll um, go over there, then," she said, heading for the other penguins to give out the fish. Oh man, whhhyyy didn't she run when she first saw this??

Aaaakkk! Jerry squawked as he was plucked up, blinking stupidly at the scary dark-skinned human for a moment before suddenly... oh my goodness she had fish! Happily, he let himself be fed, gobbling each sardine down hungrilly.
Yes... yes he was definitely a tame penguin. No seals for him.

Jordan accepted the fish solemnly, snapped it down, then spent an absent-minded moment preening the bright red feathers at the side of Rep's head. "Head voices are smart," he said. "You should listen."

Sasha gave a dry heave before she determinedly upended the can on the snow in front of Repguin, giving it a few thuds against the ground before setting the can aside and moving a safe distance away from the disgusting smell. She promptly took a blanket, shook it out, folded it up and placed it on the snow before taking a seat. "Fish. Smells. So bad." Suddenly, Candace's words wormed their way into her brain. N-naked? She rose to her feet, turned around so her back was facing the penguins, and sat back down. "J-just.. yell if you.. if you need s-s-something."
