Jove barely had time to jerk his head out of the oven before the teruu, at one point a small thing about the size of a minipet, seemed to puff up and lunge towards the exit. It didn't look happy, it looked like the food had made it really, really angry!
Stumbling back a step, Jove barely had a second to think before another student was attacking the poor confused creature. Three blows and it dropped to the sand.
The little ghost stared, his mind reeling. What had just happened here? From what he could gather, the teruu had some sort of reaction to his bad cooking. And then it had tried to get out... Wait, no. Judging by the suddenly chaotic state of the class it had tried to attack him. And then it was beaten up.
Jove scrambled over and touched the lifeless thing. The other student had probably saved him some scratches and scrapes, but he couldn't bring himself to feel relieved. After all, the teruu had no choice, right? It was just doing what it had to do. The sense of life's delicate balance was still so new to the wisp that the weight in his chest came as a surprise. He knew there was no coming back from death, but some part of him hadn't fully understood and accepted that logic. So why did he feel so... sad all of a sudden?
The pup sat with the dead teruu for awhile even after things settled down. He didn't need sleep, and he had a lot to think about.

Edel had been watching her teruu eat apprehensively, unsure if the creature had liked the meal she had prepared. Turns out, it did! The ferret-turtle ambled away from the tray and approached her in slow clumsy movements, eventually sitting right in front of her and letting out a long, satisfying burp. The frost demon was rather glad that it seemed to enjoy the food, but refrained from doing something potentially stupid such as petting it on its head. She did wave at it politely and give it a smile though.
As it would seem, not all the teruu were too happy with their meals and were openly showing their agitation. The frost demon wasn't too sure why, as some of the meals her classmates had prepared did seem rather appetizing (for the teruu that is). Edel glanced nervously at the teruu she had just fed - was it going to turn hostile soon? Arming herself with a saucepan, the ghoul waited, but nothing happened. Or more specifically, the teruu had simply got into its back and rolled about the counter, rubbing it's belly happily. Over on the other side of the kitchen, another ghoul - Qlue, had the misfortune of a very angry and ungrateful customer. Yes... Yes it certainly did look like it was on the verge of table-flipping.
Watching it hiss and spit at the unfamiliar ghoul, Edel had meant to abate its anger by tossing it some scraps of food. That unfortunately, did not go too well, as the bit of bird beak hit its head rather than land nicely in front of it. The teruu stared at it and back at her. And then it threw the beak right back at her.
