She looks great! Twig legs aside. Lyn continues her trend of being able to show some leg but be classy about it. And she looks like she's about to jump on someone with those swords. I really like how it's shaded too, especially in the hair. With those dark patches to offset the highlights. Google isn't helping me find the artist. Or at least I don't think it is, as it keeps correcting my spelling of "Shirou." Potential translation hiccup? I'll try again later.
I've also discovered through Tumblr prowling that someone on SF uploaded scans from the FE13 guidebook. Beware of spoilers involving confession pictures and Masked Marth. No plot details, though, as far as I know.
There's also some Akaneia Chronicle scans in there. But only three of them.

I kinda have the issue with not only Lyn's legs, but also the way her forehead and bangs are being drawn. It makes me feel like she's either getting a bald spot or she has a big forehead. >>;
But other than that, I love how she is being drawn and that they stick her to what class she is to represent. I agree with Tiki that the way she poses makes her looks like she's ready for some action.
And Tiki, for that FE13 guidebook, I hope it does come to the NA too. I'm curious what they wrote in it. >>; Hopefully, we may have a translator to translate what it say, especially the manga. I'm curious to read.
BTW: On a note: Inverse is amazing. From her map (You (And NPC!Inverse) vs. You +Inverse) to her supports (D'aww.. there it is...fufufu...) (I would highly suggest, however, if you do not wish to be spoiled, to NOT look at MU(M)xInverse's supports-- there's a heavy spoiler regarding MU in those)... Her conversation with MU after clearing her chapter. Thanks to /vg/
Lyn: ...I see, I have lost. How vexing...So you are the tacti- !? Eh...You...You are...!? Can it be...Unbelievable... ...Ah. I apologize for the outburst. It seems that I have confused you for someone else. You look very similar to my precious person...that person was also a tactician, and saved me countless times. Ah, that's right. Did you...lie collapsed somewhere in the past? >Yes Lyn: Of course! I knew it. The tactician I knew also was found collapsed three times...I do not think this is a coincidence. Um...does that mean tacticians will always be found lying somewhere? Lyn: I am Lyn, daughter of the Lorca tribe. Anyways, tell me about yourself. Where were you born? Have you ever been to our world? What? Amnesia...? If that's true...then it really might be you. Hey, take a good look at me. Can you remember anything? About the times we were together in the plains of Sacae...the times when we fought together with Eliwood...Do you have any memories of those past experiences? Pick: >No Lyn: I see...How unfortunate. You may be a different person from the one I knew. But...Alright, I've decided! Hey. If it's alright with you, take me along on your journey. Even if you really are a different person, I'm fine with that. I'll fight together with you, and confirm it with my own eyes. My swordsmanship will certainly be useful. I think I'll be useful as your bodyguard. >Sure Lyn: Watch me. I'll definitely become stronger.
Pick: >Yes, I remember Lyn: Really...? Thank goodness! You remembered! I'm...so glad...we were able to meet again...I-I'm not crying. I'm just...so happy...Please, just let me stay like this a little longer... Lyn: ...Thank you. Yes, I'm better now. Hey, Let's return to Sacae together. Everyone will be happy to see you. Eh? You still have things you must do...? Alright. Then, I will help you out. I'll join you in this battle. Anyone who dares bar your path will be my enemy!

In short, Mark (FEA) is NOT Mark (FE7), but MU (FEA) IS, because Player = MU = Player = Tactician.
At the same time, you can't really say it's not canon though. Thus the reason for "(If you state you've played FE7)"-- which is pretty much what the game is asking you there-- ergo, do you remember FE7? And even if you say no, Lyn still thinks you may be the same person. She acknowledges she may be wrong, but at the same time...
However, it does, handily wreck the idea that Mark (FEA) is Mark (FE7) because in the mission Mark doesn't interact with Lyn (Lucina does) and afterward, there's direct implication that you (well, MU) are (is) the tactician from FE7.
Some, like Westbrick think it's a ball drop, but I disagree, as it's the fans who put that idea out there- not IS. Their reveal is that that idea ISN'T the case.

Well, the fact that there are two options would lead one to suggest that because it's not forced that you do remember, it isn't canon. Especially since it's DLC. Just as Lyn thinks you might be the right person, she could be wrong even if you DO say yes by the same logic. I really like that it's an option, but it's as canonical as any pairing when you have multiple pairing options.

What FD said. I like the idea that they give you an option, but at the same time it's hard to say it's a canon or not since it's from a DLC. It can be that it's the same tactician who only remembers his/her son's name. But like I said, it's hard to tell.

There's variability, yes, and it's one-shot variability- as this scene is the only mention at this, so while it doesn't prove anything directly (as you can't tell what's the canon answer)- the "Official = Canon" rule (which is a rule that can only be countered by word of god-- ergo, it'd take Nintendo coming out and saying the DLC scenarios are not only "Not needed for the main story, and are something for a deeper experience", but are not canon at all.) does apply: The DLC convos are canon to occur, regardless. And no matter what you say, the Mark (FEA) being Mark (FE7) theory is trashed (If it were the case, Lyn would've spoke to Mark (on the mission at the very least), or should Mark not exist on the run, had a different convo.)
In terms of her being wrong on yes, not really- in the case that the logic being used is simply "Exactly what's being said", ergo, take everything said literally, because there is nothing else.
Saying yes absolutely confirms confirms she's right. (and she joins you) As this question has no continuation, there's no room for error. Saying yes means you are the same.
Saying no simply means you don't remember, so you might not be the same but she wants to see for herself. (And then it's asked if you want her to join (sort of as a "No." Are you sure?))
As a whole, this scene does two things: 1. Wreck the Mark = Mark theory 2. Reinforce the MU = Player idea that they're throwing at you.
If all DLC is canon, I don't think that would make sense considering you're put in the same fight from different perspectives in so many of them. One moment you fight with Ike, the next you Fight against Ike. How can "official=canon" be a rule (it doesn't seem to be one in any absolute or official sense) when there is variability. It can't be simultaneously canonical, for example, that Calill is reunited with her child Amy in Tibarn's army and NOT, even though both can occur within the game officially. That's how I see the conversation with Lyn. At most, the only thing canonical between Lyn and MU is that they have a conversation. The contents of that conversation become less canonical.
If anything, I would imagine that DLC is NOT canon. Because whether or not Nintendo DOES come out and say DLC is "not needed and for a deeper experience", that IS the case since it's DLC. Why wasn't it included in the game otherwise?
And why would someone take everything literally when there's a sense of ambiguity? Incidentally, it is impossible for there not to be ambiguity in language, but that's a whole other thing. But the fact that amnesia comes up, alone, should encourage you not to take everyone at their word immediately. The moment anyone owns up to having had amnesia, their memory is no longer reliable in narration. Saying there's "nothing else" is especially questionable, I would argue. Consider, for example, how enthused Lyn seems at the possibility of this being the same tactician that was in FE7. Is the tactician saying he remembers seeing Lyn THAT different from Almedha saying and believing Pelleas is her son? On Lyn's part, too. She begins by saying she confused the tactician for someone else, which cracks at how reliable she is, too, quite early in the conversation. Maybe she IS just mistaking the person. There's more evidence in the conversation that definitely provide readings that discourage taking what they say at face value. So I couldn't disagree with you more on that. There is never JUST what is functioning at the surface level of text, but I have that opinion because of my training as an English Lit major.
However, no one is really defending the Mark = Mark theory here anyway, and that theory does seem quite wrecked.

DLC is not canon. At all. That's why it's DLC.

I don't really think it's true, but it's interesting at least. Definitely has good potential for fanfiction- if someone were to have 'Mark' talk with 'My Unit' there'd be potential for interesting things to happen depending on how the two is portrayed.
... But beyond being good fanfiction fuel, as Rath said, DLC is just DLC; the characters are making a comeback, but their adventures and what's said isn't canon- it's just for fun and to keep gamers excited.
... And honestly, with half the outfits as hideous as they are, do we really really want everything to be canon? XD
