Rep was distantly investigating the headset and donning it when Harrison joined them, seeming at least to be done with whatever Moon related things he'd been up to, he gave the other man a wave as he finally figured out how he was supposed to wear the thing. Mostly in part down to Tracey's helpful hints like "The other way around" and "maybe behind your ear".
He gave Jerry a puzzled look however at the mention of the Sahara. So they'd been here before? And it didn't seem like it had been a very easy or pleasant.
"Do I even want to ask what ******** happened last time?" the mention of bodies made him feel slightly queasy.

It was almost dissonant, seeing Sasha standing near H and Clarice. He didn't know why, but it didn't sit right in his head. It was as if there were two worlds, and the sweet, innocent people of one world should stay on his left, while the hardened hunters who fought, and died, should stay on his right. But they never did. His worlds kept colliding over and over until all he was left with was a big headache. "You look nervous, sugar." Robert stood beside Sasha and put his arm on top of her head, oblivious to any possible hair-primping she'd done a moment before. "Don't you know you're in good hands? We've got the good job. You ain't got nothing to worry about."

When Sydney heard the offer she headed over to Candace, a slight look of worry on her face. "I would like a headset," she said quietly before realizing Candace was talking to someone. She looked at Molly, wondering if she had ever talked to the other mist hunter, then stepped back, letting them discuss whatever it was they needed to. Sometimes it was really awkward being a newbie.

"Robert!" How a man that large could be so light on his feet, Sasha would never know. She peered up (and up and up and up) at him with concern in her eyes, a slight frown tugging down the corners of her mouth. "Everyone is .. so serious. I'm glad you're here.." She meant it. There was something reassuring about his presence. "Do you know what it's about?"

Mess up? What could Molly possibly mess up when they hadn't even left the island yet? Candace was getting worried about what this question was now. She waited patently for the girl to get her words in order, and was rather surprised by what she heard. Something happens...she knew what that implied. Candace's smile stayed as warm as she could manage, though her hands shook ever so slightly as she hid them in her pockets, her headset hanging around her neck. No, Molly wasn't sounding stupid or wasting time. These were honest concerns. Their division wasn't like the others. Candace was quiet at first, looking around to find Aria. Would Lance be out here as well or would he be in the Mist lounge? Oh, Molly. Your question was a very good one. How could she answer? She was still just a trainee herself it's not like she should be giving orders or anything. But she could give advice based on things Aria had told her, right? Candace looked around at the others, feeling very self-conscious all of a sudden. "Survive." She finally blurted out, her cheeks flushing as the word escaped her without a second thought. "Just...do anything you need to, to survive. You're a tough girl, I know you can do it." She grinned at the others as well. They were all tough. They could do it. They'd be fine. "Just get the job done and survive. They woke us to be Hunters because they saw something in us, and they put us here because we don't fit one single division. We can handle all of them on our own if we have to. If you find you're on your own for whatever reason, don't think about 'what would the Sun division do in this situation'. Don't think about 'how would a Life hunter handle this.' Don't even ask what a Mister hunter would do. Ask what do I need to do to survive." She turned back to Molly, swallowing hard and taking a deep breath as she tried desperately not to hyperventilate. She was scared, but she was trying damn hard not to let it show. "Does that answer your question?"ALL THE MISTS WHO CARE TO LISTEN, BROSKI

"Corpse piles," Harrison filled in further, "mountains of 'em. ...Mostly regular people. And this giant skeleton horse came out of the sand. We killed it, though, so I guess there's more."
He looked at Rep.
"How's your shoulder?"

Yep, he probably shouldn't have asked. The idea of mountains of corpses unsettled him quite a bit. Sure, back home he was desensitised just a little to death in the singular. Not in the ********." was his summary on his feelings on all of this info. Another lair.
At the mention of his shoulder he couldn't suppress a wince. "It'll do. Still a bit tender and s**t but they said I was good enough to go fight." he wouldn't have allowed them to sit him out. "******** up my tattoos though." Apparently there was a reason he was actually wearing his jacket for a change.

The way she yelled out his name made him choke with a laugh, and he dropped his arm when she tried to tilt her head up to him. "Yeah, well, these missions can get pretty gruesome. Look, you're probably going to see some really bad s**t tonight. And I'm sorry. I really am." His eyebrows furrowed in sadness. "I wish I could tell you it's all gonna be okay, but it never is. All we can hope for is that we come out of here alive, to fight another day. And hey, we do." He reached over and bumped her chin with his knuckles, before his hands dropped in dismay.
It was like she was a virgin, and this mission was about to take her innocence. It wasn't right. She was going to end up having those same nightmares and sleepless nights that almost all of them seemed to suffer, after this mission.
If she lived that long.
"Just remember that there's lots of good s**t waiting for you when we get back here, okay? Like.. doughnuts. As many doughnuts as you want." He bent in and closed in on her face with a super serious expression. "I will literally hand make you doughnuts myself, if you make sure to stay safe, this whole mission. You remember that, all right sugar?"
Leaning back, he tweaked her nose and checked his bandages. "You remember that."

She was still thinking about them, when she walked over to people she vaguely recognised. Hoping they would be safe, that they would come back to her again- and also that she'd make it back to them. Grabbing a headset from a passing-by hunter, Reine fitted it securely over her head, only to have it knocked to the ground by someone running into her-- Clerise?
Reine sat up, instinctively scrabbling to pick the headset up again. It seemed uncharacteristic of the other girl to behave this way- she always seemed so cheerful, even to the point of being almost annoying sometimes. Maybe she hadn't forgiven her for what had happened on the mission, or maybe she was just stressed out over this mission- she had no idea. With a small frown on her face, Reine stood up and dusted herself off, scared to reach out to the other girl-- when she heard someone else call for her, thank god.
"Tori," she called back, forcing a smile. "All ready for the mission?"prolixity always on your side, boss <3 take care! robert speak for yourself, geez. be safe bobby.

"What happened to your shoulder?" Rep got a sharp look of concern from Jordan. "Going to have to get your ink fixed?"

Countless thoughts went tumbling through her mind as she listened to him, not even blushing when he reached forward to bump her chin or tweak her nose. She didn't miss the way his brows knit or the serious look that he gave her. Sasha wasn't a dunce. She could recognize the serious atmosphere for what it was.
Sending the doctor a glance over her shoulder, Sasha exhaled loudly as she recalled his words. Potential. Power. Self-discovery; that's what her life as a hunter was about - as long as she made it out of this mission alive.
Sasha's lips parted in a grin when Robert mentioned doughnuts.
"I'll remember, Robert," she replied quietly, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I promise."

Molly bit her lip nervously as she waited in a hushed silence for Candace’s reply. Oh dear…she was looking around. Had she put her on the spot? She felt terrible! She knew how that feeling was, and it wasn’t her intention at all. As Candace started to speak though, Molly looked surprised, but she listened, and she took every word that Candace uttered to heart. Confidence. I know you can do it. At the end of that rather invigorating answer, Molly smiled widely and nodded her head rapidly. “ It does. If I’m put into that situation, I’ll ask myself what I need to do to survive…I’ll also ask myself too, what I need to do to make sure you survive as well.” Because Molly was all still for the concept of team. “ Thank you, Miss Candace. I really appreciate it.” She reached out and sought one of Candace’s hands that were still in her pocket, and just held onto it. She gave a smile and a nod of her head to Sydney as the girl seemed to be looking her way, and then looked back at Candace. “ Miss Candace ~ Life's a happy song when there's someone by my side to sing along ~ I've got everything that I need right in front of me nothing's stopping me~ Nothing that I can't be when you're right here next to me~” Was Molly busting out show tunes now? Yes.

Sydney took the headset, thinking of what Candace had told them, then looking at Molly. "Is it the time to sing about our favorite things, or something?" she asked, rather serious faced. "We're going to survive, so I would think the singalong can wait until after we get back, though," she added. "Oh, forgive me, my name is Sydney Lowe--Mist Division, of course." She held a hand out to the redhead, the words of "My Favorite things" or whatever that song was titled dancing through her mind.

Putting on the headset that she had picked up on her way over to her friend. Seeing Reine forced smile that Tori just put to just the stress of the mission as she wasn't too happy to be heading back to the Sahara. Triple checking to make sure that she had everything and to make sure that her own headset was properly on. Giving Reine a nervous smile, "I'm ready as I will ever be and I'm not really all that excited to be going back to the Sahara either, but a mission is a mission," she answered as she absentmindedly making sure that Aklik was around her neck. While Aklin was murring to keep his hunter from getting too nervous and to keep her a little distracted from thinking about those dead bodies they had dealt with last time. "So are you all ready for the mission too?" danse-hexe Now I really going to bed.
