It seemed that all of the Tympoles she had gone against just were easily bored to her. "And I would really enjoy catching one..." She mused to herself with a sigh. She caught sight of a Tympole in the grass, minding its own business, and she decided this one she would catch. "Quick Attack Xavier while it doesn't know we are here!" She called out, and he lunged forward to slam the tadpole. It turned around, surprised to see a zebra charging at it and went to dodge but got hit back a few feet.

When it recovered it decided to growl since it had been enjoying a nice nap. "That won't stop us. Another quick attack now!" She commanded, and another quick lunge struck the tadpole. She figured that was enough and tossed a Poke ball at the Tympole. It struck, taking the tadpole inside and shaking a bit before it burst out, shaking its head and shooting some bubbles forward. No, I won't let this one go away! She thought, tossing another Poke ball at it. This time it struck, then landed on the ground shaking a few times before clicking shut. She smiled, moving over to the Poke ball and smiled. "Now I got an adorable member!"

After the unfortunate escape of that Skitty, Alyss felt something pawing at the back of her leg. She turned around and noticed a Poochyena looking up at her. "Looking for something?" She asked, kneeling down to the pooch as it tackled straight into her, knocking her onto her back. Owwie...that hurt. She thought. Trouble laughed a bit into the air before diving down at the pooch with a peck to its head. Not really enjoying that, the pooch lunged up towards Trouble and catching him by surprise. Alyss got up, remembering to get the Poke ball from where the Skitty was, and tossed it at the Poochyena. Noticing something flying at it, the pooch lunged to the side then scampered away.

Alyss felt surprised when she saw a Ralts start to walk in front of her path. "Whoa...this is rare!" She called out as it noticed her. She was starting to ready a command when the Ralts started to flee from her. She frowned, groaning on the inside. "This really sucks. I can't find anything to add to my team." She wasn't going to let this get her down since this was still the beginning of a long journey ahead of her. These things happen after all. I just gotta keep on moving. She thought with some doubt.

Alyss looked around, frowning as everything seemed to be avoiding her. She sat down on the ground and looked over at her team. They all seemed to be comfortable where they were, so she could take a bit of a rest for now. There was just one distraction to her and it was that of a Zigzagoon poking at her pockets. She jumped up once she felt it, then smiled. "Hey there little fella. Curious aren't you?" She asked. It looked up at her, tilting its head at her question. Maybe this little guy will join us. She thought, watching as Trouble dived down onto its head, pecking it a little.

The Zigzagoon shook its head before growling at Trouble. He took that as a challenge and growled back, moving back into the air. The Zigzagoon started to jump around a little before lunging up, knocking Trouble out of the air with a tackle. "Ow...that had to hurt them both." Alyss commented as she ran over to where her last Poke ball had been. Please work! She thought as she tossed it at the Zigzagoon. The ball struck the raccoon on the head before pulling it into the ball. It shook once, twice, three times before clicking shut. Alyss smiled as she ran over to the ball, picking it up as it shrank in size. "Huh?" She started to ask as the ball disappeared from her hands. She started to look all over frantically before she thought of an answer. "Right I can only have six Pokemon on my team. It must have been sent to that...box thingy." She said, deciding that she had enough out there. She called each of her Pokemon back to their Poke balls and went back to Blyse City.

Exit to: Trouble in Blyse City

All of a sudden, a small figure would dart out and slam hard into Sunny, catching the wounded Snivy off guard and sending her flying across the ground. The figure was a Pidgey, flapping its wings as it came to a stop. "Snivy?!" Sunny shouted angrily. As if to answer the question, Pidgey's beak would dart into the dirt and pull out a small worm. Sunny was scarring away the bird's food. Unfortunately for Pidgey, Sunny wasn't so understanding of the situation.

Charging towards Pidgey, she slammed hard into it with a tackle. This revenge shot caught the bird off guard and sent him backwards across the ground. Even though Pidgey was weaker, the two were just about evenly matched right now. This was because Sunny was still weak from the training battle. When Larry saw this, he decided to call back the Snivy. "You sit this one out Sunny," Larry said. "Let Night handle this." Sunny was reluctant, but she obeyed and went to stand by Larry.

Taking out a Pokeball, Larry threw out his Hoothoot to do battle with the Pidgey. "Tackle!" Larry commanded. However, the Hoothoot didn't move. It was then that he realized that the bird was asleep. "Oh yea," Larry said shaking his head. "Night's nocturnal." With a sigh, Larry recalled the Hoothoot. "Only one thing left to do now," Larry said, seeing the Pidgey was readying for another attack. "Everyone! Attack!"

The wounded Pokemon didn't react. They were looking around in confusion. Instead, Larry took the initiative. Picking up Pink & Snivy, he threw both Pokemon at the Pidgey for a makeshift tackle. Before it could react, the two Pokemon had already sent the Pidgey flying backwards. "Now for the finish!" Larry said, throwing a Pokeball. The round object bounced off the wounded Pokemon and opened to suck it inside. As usual, it began to shake violently as Pidgey fought the capture.

Meanwhile, Sunny was looking angry now. She had just been thrown yet again by Larry, so she wasn't going to be lenient with his punishment. He didn't learn his lesson last time, so Sunny had to be more aggressive. One horrible beating later, Larry was lying on his bag and wiggling like a wounded bug. Sunny sure was...assertive.

As he ran towards the Pokémon Center, Larry found that the road to civilization was a long one. He had been running for a while now and the combination of the hot sun & his sweat loss eventually made him fall to the ground in exhaustion. “Sunny!” he called out as he lay on the floor. “Help me to the Pokémon Center! Carry me.” Sunny looked at Larry like he was crazy and strolled ahead of him defiantly. Most of the team followed in her lead, but Pink stayed behind to try to help her master. Though she didn’t really do anything, Larry liked the sentiment.

“Thanks Pink,” Larry said, getting up. “You deserve a berry for that. If only I had one.” Pink didn’t care if she got a berry or not. She still meowed happily, jumping into Larry’s arms. “Alrighty then,” Larry said, standing up. “Onward to the Pokémon Center.” Continuing forward, Larry expected everyone to follow his lead. However, no one moved. They seemed to be looking at something Larry didn’t see. “C’moooooon,” Larry whined. The word was extended on account of Larry suddenly falling over some Pokemon.

Deciding to lay low for awhile, and originally heading towards the Ruins for some more items, Gage slowed down to a stop when he heard a girl's voice. Curious because it sounded like she was talking about the Blyse gym, Gage wanted to see if he could keep using his luck for getting better pokemon trades.

Houndour could tell exactly where Alyss was, and he started growling until Gage nudged the Dark pokemon in the side to shush him. The rest of Gage's pokemon were away in their pokeballs, so it was just him and his wolf waltzing up to Alyss where she was thinking under a tree.
"Hey there, sweetie. You thinking about taking the gym challenge? I could give you some advice about taking on your first battle for a badge. What kind of pokemon do you have?"
