I am thinking about having Bartholomew be bitten. Thoughts?

Let Harbinger turn him, you can be one of his generals.

Naw, I was thinking something more along the lines of he gets bit in the arm, so he is a boss and cuts it off right away. To add drama, you know.

Oh, yeah. If a person survives an attack from Harbinger, it'll kill him/her outright.

But how do you propose surviving the bite? Its degeneration factor is sky-high.

Psh, easy. Get his finger bitten off, so he immediately shoots his arm off at the elbow. Problem solved biggrin

How many zombie movies do you watch? That never works. The person either dies of blood loss or becomes a zombie anyway. Do you plan on cauterising the wound with the hot barrel of the shotgun?

Psh, I got a safe house with a whole infirmary. I'm sure he could survive amputation. Besides, because we are dealing with zombie, we are already way beyond the realm of improbable.

A Glass Passenger

I guess, but even in the most improbable of situations, it has to be realistic. If there is no realism, it becomes corny (Army of Darkness, anyone?) and not fun (funny, but not fun.)

Theres aliens, hybrid non-traditional zombies, and superpowered psychic humans, and you want it to be realistic? Psh, I think I can keep it in line.

Hmmm... I think for now, zombie bites will remain in the purview of NPCs, since it's such a vague thing right now. Stick with near misses for now.

Incidentally, how would you set up and resolve such a situation, Glass?

I'm working on a response right now. Basically, I'm just going to mention having known about the Sendaluans before, however briefly. If that's a problem, let me know.

Well, if Bartholomew was bit, he would be bitten on the hand, or as far down on the limb as possible. He would have a large knife one him, so as soon as he could, he would try to cut it off as high as possible. Then make a tourniquet, ride out the shock, bandage it off, and get himself help from the other survivors in the safe house.

I will definitely see if they're in the library database and put them on reserve! I love steampunk costumes the most. My mom is currently on a steampunk raygun creation binge. This involves buying many random Nerf guns, oddly-shaped vases, awful replicas of the guns in that Animated Clone Wars TV series (The CG one, which, I might add, is not, and will never be, canon), light-up party favors, and model paint, then mixing it all together liberal amounts until you get something totally awesome.

Totally bought some overpriced but severely awesome handmade leather goggles at a Ren Faire this summer. And I have several beautiful necklaces. I bought some books on crafting them, but I just haven't had time yet.

Also, I want this.

Promise me you'll give each of those books several chapters before passing judgement? Like I said, I started off pretty wary, but I adore them now. (On a somewhat related note, World War Z took me three tries over a year before I finally got past the first section. I've now read that book five times.)

I reserved the audiobooks for the first two Protectorate books, but they didn't have the Doomsday Vault... I promise, though, I'll give them the proper chance. Don't know about World War Z. Contrary to what this little shindig is revealing, I'm not big on post-apocalyptic stuff or zombies.

Nice glove, by the way. It's gotta be hella heavy!

Btw, NPC's is the setting still night time..?
Let Me Live

That's what I've been picturing in my head this whole time. Plus, even though SO much has happened, I think one character (Tora?) pointed out that it's been like an hour since this began.

How absolutely crazy would that be if this two month contest only took place over the course of one or two days in the RP?

Bwahahahaha, two months is a very short time in which to cover one or two days. I have an RP that's over six months old and we've only gotten through a grand total of three days. And that's including timeskips for sleep and travel purposes.

Mara belongs to the Under this flag I sail free! by AncatDubh and Ixor-San. The setting of it is a world that has cracked apart and is now comprised of floating landmasses, with flying steampunk skyships instead of boats. I definitely encourage you to read through the first few posts and find out about the world they set up!

What's the end goal of mentioning something like that to Mara?

`~shrugs~` I was just doing it as a literary device to bring up that he has been in multiple dimensions. If you want, I can take it out, it was basically just a bit of fluff.

Also, I decided to switch tenses. First person is difficult to maintain.

HA! This made me laugh.. I love Saiyaku's character...
talking to her mother like she's alive.
It's twisted and hilarious at the same time. Love it!
