THESE TASTE LIKE CHALK BUT FREE CANDY IS FREE CANDY.
Sin decided to taste another of those chalky hearts, after all the last one had been silly. She looked down to see what message the candy would yield this time and glared. 5ever Alone?! AGAIN?! She glowered at the candy dispenser and stalked off towards the Whack a Hunter game to release a little pent up annoyance.

Sin picked up the mallet and stood over the machine ready to give these little hunters a good whacking... Pop! WHACK! Pop! Whack!...Ouch alright maybe she shouldn't be so enthusiastic with the mallet this was just a game after all. She shook out her wrist and continued to whack the hunters as they popped up, some managed to evade her, but most she hit solidly. As the game finished she set down the mallet and eyed her score, not bad but certainly left room for improvement.

Ulmuka giggled to see he was able to wail on the some hunters. The strix wasn't as fast as he'd hoped but it was his first time playing a game like this. He seemed to get better as he went along but soon enough the game was over. His score wasn't enough for a prize... but OH!
A pumpkin seed! Muka glanced around to see if anyone dropped it but no one even looked at him so he slipped it into his pocket.

MATCHMAKER MATCHMAKER MAKE ME A MATCH!
Muka's head tilted. He didn't have any idea that machines could predict love matches. Was it always right? Did those with the same number have to battle for affections?
He had to try!
The machines registered that he was a PERFECT MATCH! with 2 ghouls. AHA! Promising! Ulmuka committed Sibyl and Savior's name to memory. Maybe he would run into them at the dance!

Who could resist the call of whacking toy Hunters with a mallet? Apparently not Xiu. She was back again, eying the machine with a great deal of interest. Well, she hadn't done too badly the last time she tried playing...so perhaps she could give it another go now? She sincerely doubted it, but maybe--just maybe--she would be able to beat her score!
As expected, Xiu hadn't had quite as well as she had during her first attempt. Ah well! Maybe she could try to beat her high score at a later time.

THESE TASTE LIKE CHALK BUT FREE CANDY IS FREE CANDY.
Xiu hadn't eaten the candy that she had gotten before--most certainly not! It did not look very tasty--but she found that they were rather cute. The little messages printed on them were...interesting, to say the least. Curious to see what else was printed on the chalky candies, the baku went back to try for another one.

[ Ghost-Man -- Round 1 (Pass) ]
Xiu eyed the machine apprehensively. Ghost-Man? She had heard of this game before--who hadn't?--but she had never actually had the chance to play it. In theory, the game didn't look very hard, but the baku didn't have a great track record with video game wins. Still, since no one else was currently playing...
Might as well give it a go, right? Moving up to the machine, she gave the instructions a quick read through before starting up the first level.
Surprisingly enough, she didn't do that badly at the first level! At the very least, she had (somehow) managed to pass it. As for the second level, though...

[ Ghost-Man -- Round 2 (Fail) ]
Those Pac-men were terrible, terrible creatures! Xiu had been doing pretty well, until she realized that she had run out of the large Fear capsules (clearly she needed to plan how to use her supplies a little better). With a frown, she tried to navigate herself around the maze and get the rest of the fear capsules, but...ah!
She managed to trap herself in a corner. With a sigh, the baku watched as the Pac-men went straight for her poor ghost. As the "Game Over" flashed on her screen, she stepped back and shook her head.
Oh well. At least she had gotten through the first round?

Yin eyed the machine, not really sure what it was. But it appeared that you simply...cranked it? And hoped for something to appeared?
Apparently he did not win anything other than a small piece of...chalk? With letters that made no sense carved into it so he simply tucked it away to toss as soon as he found a place to dispose of it.

I want to pin JERICHO!
Apparently he was supposed to...pin a heart to a student council member? Well, on a paper statue of them of some sort. Yin scanned the figures before he spotted a familiar one. He knew that boil and that boil...needed clothing. Yes, he could definitely use a shirt for such an important event, and a heart would be a good start.

After a dizzying turn of events Yin managed to pin the paper statue...but did not hit his heart. He hit his torso at least, which he felt fairly good about considering.

When the first doll popped up Yin had no idea what was happening. He whacked the second one lightly, and by the third began to realize what he should be doing.
He probably would have done better at the game, but there were some dolls that looked like ghouls (a blond, a brunette, and one with glasses). The hooded one he took his chances on and whacked away.

While her rage was not entirely misplaced, perhaps it was a little extreme that Edel had secretly sworn to bash the hunter puppets until the machine broke. She may or may not have cheated and made another mallet out of ice for double the bashing.

Yin had no idea what he was supposed to do with the video game. This one had no ghouls to navigate up to and chose what to do with them so he just started moving the joystick and pressing buttons. Maybe things would work out?
Things did not work out. They did not work out at all.
