Damien frowned when she gestured to the humans. "What are you talking about, Della?" He asked her, more than confused. He laughed, suddenly getting it. "Oh, it's a joke. Okay, I see the glow." He smiled, rolling his eyes as he grinned at her. "That was a good one. So do you watch human sports much?"

Della smiled at Damien but she also wondered why he couldn't see what she'd seen. Maybe because he's...not like me... "Oh...um...I don't really watch...television. I used to watch the news but it was usually full of death and so I...yeah." she shrugged and a reddish tint took over her cheeks.

Damien nodded, understanding. "Sure. I don't really watch them either. I'm usually on a..doing something." He frowned, not wanting to freak her out. "Anyway." He scrambled for something to talk about. "So when did you become an Angel? And how? Does God like, pick you or something?" He said the word God quickly, as if he didn't want to think about it too much.

Della's eyes went wide at Damien's next question. "Well..." she stammered. She really couldn't answer that question as she didn't know why she had become and angel of grace. "I suppose he chooses you. I'm not sure why I was chosen though. I don't even know my purpose in life...Well, death." She glanced up at him and intertwined her fingers. "H-How do you become a demon?"

Damien flushed when she asked him how to he became a spirit of the night. "I, well. I'm not really sure," He lied. "I guess I got picked too." He gave her a weak smile and glanced over, seeing a waitress bringing out their pizza. "Oh, here it is." He said nervously, thanking the waitress with a warm smile. She gave waved at him flirtatiously as she flounced off, and he felt his ears turn red. He turned back to Della, his eyes cast down to the pizza. He was becoming flustered, and he didn't know what to say. "Maybe we should eat?" He squeaked out, setting their plates down.

Della nodded and took a slice of the pizza. It was very warm so she quickly set it on her plate; the cheese was hanging off the side. She picked it up and bit it, savoring the taste. "I haven't had a good pizza in forever." she said after swallowing. "Thank you for bringing me here."

Damien smiled when she took the pizza and eat it, looking satisfied. "You're welcome, it was nothing." He stopped, frozen when he glanced outside. He stared, transfixed. It was a Fallen Angel. Most of them were on the Demon side, and in this case, this Fallen angel was. The girl was gesturing for him to come outside, her eyes going wide when she saw who he was sitting with. "I-I have to go, Della. You're already paid for, so don't worry. I'll see you later." He left before she could say anything, he ran out the door and onto the street where the girl was. He realized it was actually one of his exes. Well, this isn't good, he thought. "What are you doing here?" He asked her angrily, shaking his head. "I-I'm kind of doing something right now." He looked at Della through the window, his eyes sad. He turned back to the fallen angel as she laughed. "I can see that, but it doesn't matter. The big guy wants to see you. Right now." He heard her chomp a piece of gum, which annoyed him. "You're doing that on purpose." He muttered. She frowned, leaning in, whispering in his ear. "I'm sorry, what?" He gritted his teeth and shouted, "I don't know why I ever slept with you." Humans turned to look at him with disgust, and he sighed. "Never mind. Let's go." They both disappeared without the humans noticing, since anything immortal was invisible to them. Before he was out of view, he silently whispered a goodbye to Della, feeling as guilty as ever.

{Ohohohoho I love a good twist! And also, your avi is soooo adorable! ^-^ And another also, how's this for going off? Well slightly anyway. xD}Della swallowed the last bite of the slice of pizza. "Where are you going?" she choked out. Damien left, and she glanced out the window quick enough to see him leave with someone else. Her eyes instantly darkened and she stood. "Do you need a to-go box madam?" a waiter stammered out. "Yes please." He brought one out and she quickly stuffed the uneaten pizza into the styrofoam. She waved and walked out of the small place, picking up speed as she headed for her house. Tears began to make their way down her face, but they were tears of anger rather than sadness. She opened her door and then slammed it. "How could I have been so blind?!" she shouted, slamming the items on her kitchen counter. She noticed a whitish glow by her couch and instinctively knew who it was. "Did you come to scold me? Or...or say 'I warned you'?" she asked Ariell in between sobs. The angel simply embraced her, as if she knew of Della's pain; how betrayed she felt. "I really thought....that.." "I know." Ariell finally spoke. She held Della at arms length and smiled at her while wiping away her tears. She then became transparent but Della heard her whisper 'I'm sorry.' The angel disappeared and Della let a few more tears fall before drying her eyes. She knew she couldn't see Damien again...

[[I know, it just came off the top of my head. And thank you, I always love your avi no matter what. ^.^ And lol, good enough. xD]] Damien was soon in the hot main room of Hell, and he got up to look around. Soon his eyes laid upon the most hated creature in the universe: Satan. His eyes widened, and he noticed that the Fallen Angel had left him. He bowed and said in a low voice, "Father." Satan got up from his throne made of dead bones, and glared at Damien with pure hatred and disgust. "How can you do this?" Satan asked him in a voice that held a lethal tone to it. "Do what, Father?" He wondered, but then it hit him. "The Angel..please do not hurt her." He whispered, closing his eyes. Satan moved closer to him, and growled furiously. "And why not? She is an Angel. Those creatures are disgusting enough. But you have shown love towards her. This love is forbidden. Do not deny that you have feelings for her, pathetic Demon." Damien flared with anger, but he said in a self-controlled voice, "Yes, Father. I..I have feelings for her. I might even love her." Satan laughed wickedly, the sound vibrating against walls. "Pathetic. Extremely disgusting. Love? It is not such a thing in a Demon. It is not a thing in Hell. You are not a Demon anymore. You have become something of those..horrible creatures." Again, Damien wanted to kill him, but he stayed put, fuming silently. "I will never be an Angel, Father. I have chosen my destiny." Another terrible laugh. "Obviously it is to die, Demon. I will not have you here in Hell anymore. You shall be destroyed, or the girl will be." He could feel Satan burn his hate towards him, and he glanced up to meet eyes with him, flinching. "H-How long will I have to choose, Father?" Satan seemed to think a moment, smiling as he said, "Two weeks. Nothing more. You die, or the girl." And suddenly, before he could say anything more, Satan disappeared and he appeared on Earth, on the porch of a human's house. He quickly noticed it was Della's, and he took a sharp intake of breath. He knew what he faced inside, if she even let him in. He knocked softly on the door. He needed to tell her that Satan made this decision, and that he would be the one to die. He could not bare to see Della hurt.

{Thank You ^.^}Della sat up and slowly walked to her door. She had been sitting on the couch; of course her mind kept wandering to Damien. She'd been going through stages; now she was filled with sadness and her head hurt. She had really believed it could work between them, she had really thought that they could walk the earth together for an eternity. She glanced over at the pizza box and then back at her door. She opened it and saw Damien standing before her. She wanted to yell at him and tell him to go away and never come back, but something about the way he looked startled her. He looked...scared. "What is it Damien?" she asked, leaning in the door frame and not really meeting his gaze.

Damien saw anger flare in her eyes before she turned away from him. Her words hit him like pelts of ice, but he forced himself to move on and focus. "Della, I need to speak with you. Please?" He glanced up, trying to meet her stare, but failing. He took a deep breath, and continued. Anything to see her one last time. "It's important. It's a situation based on life and..." He frowned, thinking. Technically they were already dead. "Life after death." He muttered. He looked up again and saw her flawless face. He shook, feeling empty already, like a piece of him was missing. "It will only take a minute." Hopefully more than that, he thought, running a hand through his hair quickly.

Della looked up at Damien. She couldn't believe that he of all people looked frayed and frightened. She waved her hand as if to say 'Come on in', and then closed the door behind him. "What's got you so afraid?" she questioned.

Damien was relieved when she let him in, and he stepped around her, glancing around the house quickly. This would probably be the last time he would ever see it. He took everything in before turning back to her and biting his lip, wanting to say what Satan had said but not wanting to scare her, either. "I'm not afraid," he muttered, but knew it was a lie. He took a deep breath, and began. "The reason why I had to interrupt our date- which I regret fully-" He met her eyes, silently apologizing and hoping she would forgive him. "Was because I had to go with a Fallen Angel to see Satan. He knew that we.." He drifted off, feeling his face flame. "Did what we did. Got together and everything, went out. He knows about that. And he was furious, and wanted to make sure he did something about it." Damien flinched, hating that he had to say it, hating himself for doing this to her, hating Satan himself. "He made me agree to a deal." He whispered, closing his eyes. "Which was, either he destroys you, or me. There is no way out of it. And I've already chosen. It will be me. I'm sorry that I can't do anything. I'm sorry I did this to you. It's all my fault." He felt tears brim his eyes, and suddenly he was crying real tears, tears that he hadn't shed for more than three years. He took a deep breath and wiped them away quickly, forcing himself to stop. It was weak to cry, and Satan would have killed him if he saw it.

Della couldn't believe her eyes. Here Damien was, crying and accepting death, and she'd been so upset with him. For a minute she'd thought that everyone had been right about him; that he was just...a demon. Her eyes lightened back to their original shade of lavender as her wings slowly appeared. "I'm sorry." she said, apologizing for the way she had acted before. She took Damien's face in her hands and then hugged him, wrapping the both of them in her luminous wings. I won't leave you alone... "He'll have to destroy us both. I won't leave you...." Tears of her own began to creep down her face and fall on Damien's shirt. "I won't."

[[Awww..3]] Damien stared at her when she changed, thinking instantly that she was more than beautiful. He shook his head, in shock. "There is absolutely no reason why you need to apologize. I deserve this, not you. I don't want to leave you, but it'll be alright." He knew he was lying, and there was no way she could have believed it either. He was relieved when she hugged him, and he knew she had forgiven him. "I won't let him do this to you. It's my problem, I got us into this mess." He was surprised when he felt her tears soak into his shirt. He hugged her back, tighter if possible, and kissed her forehead. "Hey, it will be okay. I promise you. I won't let you leave this world, you have a job to protect humans." He said it quietly, but tilted her chin up with his hand to force her to look at him. "I will not let you be killed. Even if it means that I have to leave you, that we can never be together, I will not let that b@stard destroy you." He let go of her for a moment, and pulled her lips to his, kissing her hard on the mouth and savoring every second of it.
