Running was getting her nowhere—at least nowhere Flair wanted to be. The sound of rumbling walls dissipated, but the woman had yet to arrive at the Labyrinth’s center. Sighing, she slowed her pace to a walk and rested Glare against her shoulder. What to do now, she wondered? In the distance she heard something, perhaps a soft, soft whisper. There wasn’t much she could do at this point. She had been wandering around for far too long and the realization vexed her. Against her better judgment she chose to follow it and found herself at another dead end. She growled.

LABYRINTH CENTER
Lex played innocent, and winced as Becca took the brunt of his weight. The sooner he could have it looked at and wrapped or whatever, the better. He didn't like having such an obvious weakness showing. Hell, he hated himself for getting it in the first place. Foolish. That was what he'd been. Just like Mordy had said.
"In my most humble defense, darlin'....that last one was all Mordy." An excuse, really. He had been the one to repeat it.

The Mist Hunter made sure to jab his weapon a little harder than necessary against the ground in response. And to use Mordy as a walking 'stick' for the moment. Not that he really needed to, since Becca was assisting him right now. He leaned forward a little to give her a quick once over. Nope. No new injuries. Lucky gal.
"Well, I'm sure glad to see you at least didn't get a scrape or scratch." He smiled slightly and gave his friend's shoulders a squeeze. And then chuckled as they both could clearly hear Cody over their headsets. To Cody Headset: You ran into something? Was this while you were humming the Batman theme song too?
"So...what did you run into? I found the most amazing spikes."

"Isaac, huh?" Em let Cecil go very slowly, and sauntered over to stand in front of Isaac, looking him up and down. "Cool. I can see why Cliff likes you. Very nice." She leaned up on her tiptoes and kissed his chin, before winking. "Okay boys, here's the rub. Spread out, and make sure your weapon isn't being a little b***h because it's going to tell you whether you find something or not. But that don't mean you can't enjoy yourself while you do your job. Remember, darlings, it's still New Years." She walked past Isaac, and reached up to pinch his left asscheek. "Do your job with a smile, do it quick, and maybe if we get home in time for New Years, I'll bring Cliff by your dorm for the ball drop." Oh, euphamisms.

[DEAD END ZONE B]
Miriam managed to escape the trap, though found herself back in a dead end that she'd been in previously. "Oh for the love of..." she grumbled, frustrated with herself at constantly seeming to get lost. The longer she spent in here, the more the atmosphere seemed to get to her... and to top it off, the odd whispering seemed to have started again.
Verdandi chided, though Miri could feel that her weapon was a bit on edge as well. Anything could come at them at anytime... and as much as she was hoping to just get in and out, it seemed odd that they hadn't run into anything yet. If there really was something in there, shouldn't there be guardians...?

Cody instantly plopped onto the ground with Dimitri placed over his lap as he lifted his arm for Becca to examine. It wasn't anything serious and definitely not life threatening. However, it would be a pain if it wasn't treated properly.
"No it wasn't when I hummed the batman tune." He paused, looking frustrated. "You guys weren't even supposed to hear that..." He muttered. "And though I didn't find any spectacular spikes," He gave Lex an amused look. "I did encounter some arrows. I don't think they were coated in poison, either. Otherwise I probably would have felt the effects by now." Thank the Lord for that too. How would he explain himself if he came here wounded AND poisoned?
Speaking of injured.
"Ah hold that thought." He pressed a finger to the headset, waiting a second before speaking into the mic.
To Flair Headset: "Hey Flair, where about are you now?"  Charge: 2/2

[ TRAP ZONE A ]
TURN HERE AND THEN THERE. WE CAN AT LEAST GET BACK TO THE BEGINNING IF WE FOLLOW ME INSTEAD OF YOU AND YOUR HEAD VOICES.
"You are a voice in my head too, you know." Afzal replied that he was always correct though, and Lowe was about to respond when a sudden snapping sound sent him jumping backwards. He barely had time to respond as an arrow shot by, then another, and he turned in hopes to avoid them but - "!!!!!"
Lowe stumbled forward as an arrow caught him in the back, right beneath his shoulder blade. He groaned and stumbled, barely catching himself with Afzal's blade. The wound stung and then dulled, burning with movement as he reached to try and pull the arrow out. "Afzal, this is your fault."
LEARN TO DODGE BETTER, ********>
"I can't pull it out." Afzal reminded Lowe to just wrap around the arrow -someone would pull it out later. Also, he was reminded, it was a long way from his heart. Things would be okay, but Lowe moved his good arm and touched his headset. Prolixity headset: Have been wounded. Will attempt to meet at rendezvous point

LABYRINTH CENTER
After a few moments of consideration, Lex limped over and flopped down next to Cody. There wasn't much he could do to help with the glyphs at the moment. He couldn't read them and there were plenty of Hunters around to assist the two division heads. So he wouldn't be missed over here with his two fellow Mist Hunters.
With a low groan, he stretched out his leg, setting Mordy along side his leg. In easy reaching distance. Then leaned forward to pick at his pants and pull it them back to actually see the wound. It was as he thought. Not very big, just in a shitty location. No wonder bending hurt! But nothing slapping on a bandage wouldn't help solve.
Okay so that was a slight understatement. He probably really could use stitches of sorts. But this was not the place or time for it. Right now, he was going to bandage it up before they had to be on the move again.
"Well...we did." Lex nudged Cody with his elbow. "And it was so cute and adorable." He flashed the other Hunter a cheeky grin. It was very nice to see both Cody and Becca in person! "Arrows, huh? Least you didn't get one in the a**. That woulda sucked." He observed, glancing back at his leg. "By the way, what is our time left? Not that we seem to be accomplishing our goal..." Lex frowned, looking around the area.
::I don't like it. Stay on guard, Lexington.:: Lex completely agreed there.

Fact #1: Aaron Faraday did things alone.
Fact #2: Aaron Faraday had no goddamn sense of direction.
The young man stared at his surroundings--or rather, the giant dead end in front of him--with a deep frown, his brow creased in frustration. For someone who boasted how talented and clever he was, he sure was terrible at finding his way through this labyrinth. Sighing loudly, he spun around on his heel and began to head back the way he came.
You should have tagged along with someone! Rina scolded in his head, Like, you know, someone who doesn't suck at--
"--Shut the hell up, Rina. He interrupted crossly, trying to find his way back, "I'll be fine on my own."

Becca sighed again at Lex. Whether it was his weapon or not didn't concern her. Pet names in general, especially with Lexington, bordered on the most ridiculous.
"Well considering it was your weapon....I find that glistening fiery...whatever you called me, nicer then sweetcakes or cupcakes." She left off on that as she grunted taking his weight. She didn't have to move him far though as Cody joined them and she took her moment to look over the man.
"There, your patch up is much better. And your right, no poison from what I can tell." She grimaced as she looked over to Lex again. "Let me take a look at yours as well while he contacts his friend." She nodded to Cody as he fiddled with the headset before bending down to examine Lex, preparing bandages and stuff.
"It surprises me that there were such intricate traps. We have huge amounts of hunter experts here and yet...I think only half have made it here as of now."
She talked to Lex mostly since Cody was busy before bringing her dark eyes up. "We didn't find anything down here either. The heads haven't even found this so called artifact"

CenterCecil pouted to be put back on the ground, but straightened his goggles and his coat in what he felt was an indignant fashion, "What, you're proposing we be productive? blasphématoire!" But all the same, he gave a half-hearted glance around. Nope. No artifact in this patch of grass he prodded with his foot.

LABYRINTH CENTER: "No, these aren't clues, these have nothing to do with the map. It's not here." The secondary look Liam gave the area was enough to reconfirm everyone's fears. "The artifact is not here, we need to head back, this is clearly a-"
"Trap?" Suggested an unfamiliar voice. The perpetrator slid away from the shadows, long wings unfurling behind her, stiletto heels clicking in slow, deliberate strides. The voice was effeminate, but the creature from whom it came could not simply be called a woman. Such a word would fail to capture all that was the Horseman of War, a creature of malicious intent from the tips of her heels to the wild red hair that whipped around her pale features like wildfire.
An unpleasant smile donned her face, and the words slid from between ruby lips with all the weight of a death sentence. "Wouldn't that be... a pity?"
Liam simply held one one hand up, signal clear. Don't attack her. Don't provoke her. OOC - Feel free to post and react to GM posts for this duration. Though everyone can hear the conversation through their headsets, only Hunters in the center labyrinth can ICly talk to the gm's / SEE what is happening - Please quote anyone you are talking to. - Please simply post reaction posts after this post, no more dice rolling or changing locations.

Cody made a rude gesture at Lex, trying his best to ignore the man as he listened to the headset.
Nothing.
"Hmm... No reply yet..." He mumbled, unsure if he should retrace his steps and try and find her, or stay where he was. Though if he had learned anything over the years, having one person stay put and the other try and find you, was going to have far better results than two people trying to find each other. People who were constantly moving.
He would stay. For now.
"Thanks Becca." He smiled and observed her handiwork, only to follow with an exasperated sigh directed towards his friends.
"Yes arrows and---wha? As if I'd let myself get shot in the arse! Why? Is that where you got hit?" He asked, leaning in towards the other hunter, a smug grin on his face.
Yes, even now, he could still fool around.
"As for time limit, I couldn't tell you. They said thirty minutes, but..." It must have taken him at least that much time just to get to this damn spot. For them not to have found it yet...
"What's with the glowy--"

"Glyphs then. What's with the glyph's?" He started to ask, only to jump to his feet at the first sign of the female intruder. Both hands gripped tightly around Dimitri's hilt, but the hunter made no move to attack and most important of all... Cody shut up.

Dave froze mid-stride in the corridor as his headset crackled to life with discussion, the voices familiar. One of them was certainly Liam. What he overheard though made his blood run cold.
"A - ...Trap" he didn't recognise the second voice, it sounded ...like deadly velvet, it was the best mental description he could come up with. Danger. Danger sung in his every nerve.
He couldn't even reply over the headpiece, he didn't dare break the quiet that seemed to resonate at him over the audio channel.
