Jesabelle I have a calling And the Talons fell into the trap. Before they could react, Jes leveled the scattergun at the man's chest all the way to the left and fired. By the time the slug reached the man, she'd fired five more shells and sent five more slugs into the chest of the other Talons. Not wasting anymore time, Jesabelle flipped to her feet, holstered the shotgun and brought up her rifle as she moved back into the hallway. She wasn't going to succumb to the I.O.'s guard dogs attempt to detain or kill her. As she went, Jes fired three rounds into anything that wasn't herself and moving, she even pumped a round into each of the Talons' heads to make sure they weren't getting up.
it'll take more than that to take me down, idiots Thought Jes as she rounded a corner, rifle at the ready.
Inertia "I'm one bad B**ch The impact in the room started Intertia's synapses firing again and she started to move hesitantly. The crash had finished breaking her mask and now her face was visible. For a woman in such discord with the world and with such bad behavior coupled with her temperment, Inertia's face was beautiful and had a faerie-like uniqueness to it.
Sitting up hurt her head, as the flight from Coast city was just long enough for a hangover to begin setting in. Inertia's cure-all for such a thing was more drinking or a massive absortion of electronic energy. Sensing the power of the facility and half-seeing power cords hanging from the ceiling through which she'd come, the mutant reached out and started charging herself with the power of the base. The lights in the room and hallway dimmed, but a jolting light filled the now half destroyed room as Inertia absorbed electricity from the building power. She didn't even notice the Keeper team enter the room, but she didn't care anyway, Inertia just craved the power in the building's electrical wires.
And don't you doubt it!"

 John followed Nat quickly as if he weren't blind at all. The things he 'saw' were almost like echolocation and it helped a great deal as he moved. "Is this place actually a ROTC facility, he whispered to Nat.

Nathalia found herself wondering the same thing, and so said nothing in reply. She ushered everyone into the room, keeping them as far away from the door as possible.

As Jes began to decimate the Black Talons ranks again, suddenly Jes' body was picked up by an invisible force which slamed the mercenary against the opposing walls really hard to knock out the operative... as if the walls were playing Pong.
(And here's the goof, because these guys would have no idea....)
The keeper team that responded to Inertia's crash engaged the target after all of the students and Helga Kleinmann evacuated. Electrofied grapple wire was launched at the dizzied Inertia, fully entangling the metahuman coursing nearly 100,000 volts through her.

 John would tap his foot on the ground, he didn't really have a chance to get this the whole place mapped out, but the way the sounds bounced back. It gave him the basic idea of the room. "Nat?" John questioned yet again. He was blind, he couldn't see the faces of people, but her aura seemed to emit a yellowish color of confusion.

Needless to say with how tired Roxy was she couldn't really keep up with what was going on. Math class that nearly bored her to death then being dragged out of a dangerous place with Caitlin.
"The hell happened... Damn place."
She huffed.
Rain Maker grabbed some keys of a guard for a moment. Keys to which she may use to pick the locks on her cuffs at anytime she wanted to help her fellow friends escape. but for now she would keep them tucked inside her bra. She followed Roxy and Caity out of the damaged mess that was once a classroom. "Well this place needs some remodeling" She thought silently to herself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, Rose summers found herself distracted from her work and came out of her lab, to see what was happening. She was surprised and felt that maybe, this was the perfect opportunity to hold a class in the "Gym" below ground. Out in the desert that is where most of the places were, underground to keep the cooling bill down, and not only that it's a great way to hide some of the more questionable facilities from the government who hired them.
((I have no F*cks of an idea of what's going on, so here, this is my two cents please tell me if I could add more emotion_eyebrow ))
((Enter Kai, Arell, & Dundee)) Meanwhile, just outside the base . . . . Arell was understandably confused when the greener part of Gotham turned into a desert. "Dis? Dis was NOT what I expected from Gotham." he said, looking around as Dundee started looking confused. "Ooooh s**t." Dundee murmured as he looked at the desert. "I don't think we're in Gotham anymore . . ."
Kai looked up after reading the note, something, had gone seriously wrong. Altered reality again? It almost felt as bad as getting played with by a reality warping joker.
"/ha/ /ha/, very funny."
She stated in a unenthusiastic way. In the immediate surroundings there was nothing but sharp rocks, cactus, and what appeared to once be quick sand pits where the sand swirled a bit from either sinking or rain. Kai noticed that the road had become rather bumpy and there was a "considerably large enough to damage a truck" boulder coming up. Kai reached for the wheel of Arell's truck turning it to the left to avoid the boulder, instead hitting a few of the smaller ones, just passing it the tires lost tread. The rubber flying behind leaving the two passenger tire axles to grind against the sand, rock and cactus.
"Watch out Arell"
She yelled, as she pulled the wheel back leaning against Arell unintentionally, two thoughts ran through her mind "Arell is going to be pissed at me AGIAN. Arell is a horrible situation driver, and lastly, I hope we ******** make it out of this truck alive."
"Fer WHA-a-a-a-a-o-o-oOOAH SHIIIIIIT! BRACE YOURSELVES!!!!" he growled, working the wheel until . . .
WHAM!!!!
The truck fell into a pothole about the size of the truck. At a standstill, Arell checked Dundee over. "Y' okay, Kai?" he asked, not angry at her, but physically was stressed out. He had this truck for YEARS!!! Hell, he and C.J. named her Maude!! But this was NOT good.
"What is it?" Nathalia asked, glancing back at John. She again wondered how long this was going to last.
"I've had worse..."
Kai said looking up to the both of them after she had braced herself holding the dash of the truck, not to mention she was lucky she didn't fling forward not having worn a seat belt. Come to think of it there was no airbags either...
Arell looked at Kai and then over at Dundee. "Y'allright, bro?" Arell asked as Dundee checked himself over.
"I'm okay, but I think Maude's gonna be outta service for a while." he said and smiled at Kai. "Thanks for keepin' us from hitting the boulder, hon." he said to Kai as Arell smirked.
"Thanks, Kai . . . now we'd bettah find us some shelter." Arell growled, looking around. By the looks of things, this wasn't even the hotter part of the day yet.
Black, not the best for the desert but better than having skin showing. Kai reached at her hair, as if pulling her hair into a pony tail but as she pulled the hair became blond in color. She then pulled the hood of her jacket over her head reaching her hand to attempt to intangibly move her hand through the roof but found the truck's exterior already so hot that it would burn her moving through.
"Well, this situation sucks, how about we leave this metal death trap and find some place cooler?"
She was already sweating, as much as she wanted to take off the layers that would keep her warm in the Gotham's dreary stormy nights, she also had to keep it on to protect the sun from burning her skin. Definitely not the best place for anyone of Gotham. The sun, the heat, empty sky, and pretty much close flat plains.
Arell nodded. "Late '50s Fords are NOT de best places fer shelter." he growled, opening the door and grabbing a shotgun, which he slung over his shoulder, his wide-brimmed hat to keep away the sun and a box of shells.
Dundee on the other hand, was slathering on the sunblock on the way out. "Damn heat. Glad I didn't go with the Circus to Mexico City!" he cursed under his breath and looked at Kai. "This might help." he said and handed her some sunblock.
Kai hopped out behind Dundee shutting the truck door behind them, then thought a moment.
"Naw, won't be necessary. How bout we tear out these truck seats and use them as shade, lay low till the sun sets?"
She looked back then at the truck seats again.
"Wait"
Face palms. It wouldn't be enough for the 3 of them unless they hid together under one seat like a group of spooning girly boys. She then looked around.
"Yea, that won't work actually, just thinking of a personal plan more than anything cause... Mostly used to working alone... stupid I know, right?"
