As Lumiere slept she had dreams of her past.

It was sometime in August and she awoke to find that the house was on fire.Her grandmother quickly pulled out of the place before it fell to the ground.A few of her brother and sisters were killed or badly burnt.Her pet,a unicorn,had come running out of the building,fire engulfing it's body.The parents were in the house too except that they got out before everyone and didn't try to get them out of the house.As the unicorn was rushing out of the house I rushed toward it getting a small burn on my stomach from it's flaming horn accidently spearing through me a bit.

The dream ended and Lumiere awoke with a horrified screech.She had never had dreams about her past before and she wanted to forget that moment ever since it happened.She flew down to eye level with Kira as he climbed.His face was all bloodied and scratched from when she was a Tasmanian devil."I did this all to you,Kira.I'm sorry."Lumiere said still flying.She started to mummer a few words and a light engulfed Kira,healing him completely.Lumiere flew back up onto his head."I had a bad dream."She pouted.

Lumiere's head dropped."It was about my past.When my house burned down."Lumiere said in an almost inaudible whisper."17 of my siblings died and my parents stood around doing nothing.Everyone of my sisters and brothers died,along with my pet.I was the only one that survived,because my grandmother could only save me.All of my family members you saw earlier,well they weren't there."Lumiere changed back into a human and clung to the ladder with one hand."I got harmed in that fire and because of that,i can't forget that day no matter how hard I try."Lumiere said pulling up her shirt,revealing a pear sized burn mark.She smoothed her shirt back down and turned back into a phoenix,settling back on his head."Kira,your head is cozy."She whispered.

Lumiere turned into a baby golden lion tamarin and sat up.Even being in animal form she still had the burn.She sighed and plopped back down."Some things are best left unsaid,that's why I can't tell you my whole past.It would probably trouble you too much."Lumiere sighed."But hey,there's no getting rid of it so I might as well get used to it.Once you get harmed in an event of life you can't forget it,or at least in my bloodline you can't.It's because of this stupid curse my 21 greatest grandpa put on his bloodline.You see he made it because he had a lot of wounds but he never remembered where he got them so he made the curse.Sadly though it was a sealed curse that only he could break,he tried to break it before he died but he wasn't strong enough to do so.Thus leaving people in his bloodline cursed.Although there is a way to break it,you need to be more powerful then when he cast it,but sadly nobody is that strong with magic."Lumiere said holding out a paw."Anyways,would you like something to eat?"

Lumiere shuddered."Somehow to me that seems like it's not for the public to hear."She climbed up a few feet above Kira and changed back into a human."You should hurry.It shouldn't take this long to get back."Lumiere said climbing up as if she was still a monkey,her tail swayed in the wind.she hung upside down to look at Kira,her hair flowed in the breeze."Your really slow,seems as if you'll never be able to catch me.'She said a smile spreading on her face."And if that happens then you'll never get to tell me what you want from me."She hung there,upside down waiting for him to catch up.

Lumiere watched as Kira quickly climbed."Too quick for my liking.Let's make it more interesting."She said to herself.She flipped back up and started to climb at a fast pace.When she was in reach of the saddle on Neramata's back she jumped for it.Everything seemed to go in slow-mo as she grabbed for it.She got hold of it and yanked herself up,watching as a piece of her dress was torn and fell to the ground.Lumiere looked back up and continued to climb.

"Too late"Lumiere mouths down to him as she did a lunge for the rim of the palace floor.She purposely didn't catch it and started to fall past Kira to see what he would do.If he didn't catch her then oh well,she would be dead because at the moment she is unable to use magic to transform.If he did catch her then hooray she can trust him.

Lumiere's eyes widen in shock and sorrow seeing that he had sacrificed himself.She reached out but her fingers barely touched the collar of his shirt.A tear fell and she whispered out."I'm not a toy."She launched herself out and caught Kira,holding him as if her life depended on it.She nestled her head into his shirt."I don't want to live without you.I'd rather die with you than be without you."She whispered.
Up above Lumiere's grandmother watched to see what would happen.In her dragon form she had an amazing poker face.It seemed as if she wanted them to die so that she could still be queen,but then again she may want them to live.
