Nodding as she shifted and responded, Shun stayed down for a little longer. He didn't really want to get up just yet. As she spoke, he also noted that he could hear her with a little more clarity as well. All in all, they were good signs.
"Doing better. My senses are still not fully back yet but they are improving," he replied, pausing for the moment.
"Did you sleep well?" he added. While he was rather comfortable like this, he wasn't sure if she was as well. It didn't quite occur to him in the previous days that there might be a chance she did not appreciate him lightly holding onto her like this.

There was the faint hint of a smile as Mitsu turned slightly, gently resting against Shun's chest so she could look at him better. She didn't want to put too much weight on him because of his injuries. "I slept really well." Mostly indicated by the fact she hadn't woken up until now.
"I'm glad your eyes and hearing are getting better. I was really worried." Gently Mitsu reached up to push some of the hair away from his face and clear of his eyes.

Relieved to hear that she slept well, Shun stared down at her with a softened expression. Lowering his head a bit as she mentioned how worried she had been, he shook it lightly.
"I'm sorry... Though you don't have to worry too much," he whispered, thinking about the situation as a whole and the events that lead up to this moment. There were a number of things running through his mind, a few in which he wanted to touch upon with Mitsu. The few moments of silence he had with her were soon broken as he began to speak again.
"By the way, I've been doing a bit of thinking. About the things that happened in the house. Between us. I was still a little confused at the time but everything's a little more clear now. I.. I want you to know that I don't regret it."

"I'll always worry, its because I care about you," Mitsu said honestly.
Silence took over shortly after and Mitsu just watched Shun's expression as it seemed he was thinking about something. When it looked like he was going to speak again she gave him her full attention.
"What happened...Oh...the..the kiss." It took a moment for Mitsu to register what he was talking about. Somehow it seemed like so long ago that it had happened. Not that she had forgotten but there had been more pressing things on her mind.
"You don't...regret it?" Either Shun still had trouble phrasing things or Mitsu should worry that he really could have regretted the kiss. Had he regretted it and changed his mind? She looked perplexed for a moment before she finally decided on the first one, her expression softening again. "I...was honestly really happy when you kissed me. Being able to be there with you then, being here with you now. I was scared to say anything more on how I really felt....I wasn't sure if you would turn away or not." She had been worried it would ruin their relationship because she would rather have him as just a friend than nothing at all.
Shyly she looked down at the bandages around his chest, fingers lightly soothing down some of the spots that had come loose. "I was worried you would never feel the same but then you said...I think I love you." She couldn't leave the 'I think' part out. It still left that sense of doubt but also that glimmer of hope. Finally she turned her gaze back up to his, a light hint of pink on her cheeks. "I never expected you to say something like that...and it made me so very happy. I do love you...and I care about you.......and...I want to be with you." She added hesitantly. It was the first time she was throwing herself out there and her breath caught in her throat waiting for a reaction. What would he say?

Listening as she spoke, Shun watched her face for subtle changes in expression. He couldn't see it clearly, but he could pick up on a few things at the very least. Quite frankly, he was a little surprised to hear some of the things she had to say. They echoed a few of his own concerns in a way too, and that... that really made him feel good. It brought a warmth up from deep within his chest.
Staring at her as she added the last few words, albeit a little hesitantly, his eyes softened and he pulled her a little closer, though gently.
"I never thought it'd be possible for anyone to say those sorts of things to me. To feel those things. I can't say I understand how it is possible, and a part of me still thinks you deserve someone better but..." he paused momentarily, trying to put things to words before staring down at her again, taking in a deep breath, "Being with you.. brings me a sort of joy I can't remember when I last felt. And.. I care more for you than I have for anyone else I've met."
A subtle smile touched his lips once again. It was faint, but it was still there.
"I don't just think it anymore... I love you too and.. I want to be with you as well."

The longer Mitsu listened the more she felt like smiling. A warmth hit her easing away the anxiety she felt moments ago and she finally let out the breath she had been holding. His smile only made her's grow larger as her fingers reached up to gently touch his lips. She liked his smile it was faint but still warm and giving. Decidedly, Mitsu wanted to see it more often.
Being pulled closer Mitsu snuggled against him, arms gently working their way behind his neck to hold him close as well. His last few words, they made her heart flutter in her chest, overjoyed beyond all measure to hear he wanted to be with her too. She smiled brightly leaning up to rest her forehead against his for a moment before she finally moved in close to press a light kiss to his lips.

Though it was hard to see, Shun could swear he saw the corners of her lips raise to form a smile of her own. There was nothing else that needed to be said right now. While there were issues still at hand, for now, he wanted to not think about those things and just enjoy the fact that Mitsu was here in his arms.
The Reaper kissed her gently in return before letting out a content sigh.
So this was what love was like. No wonder Lizzy was pushing him to sort out his feelings over this.

Pulling back from the kiss Mitsu rested her forehead against Shun's again, soaking up the moment. When she had arrived at this school she never expected to have friends let alone be as close to someone as she was to Shun. He was so very important to her and she wanted to see him happy no matter what.
She rested there for quite a bit longer wanting to stay in Shun's protective hold. His arms around her made her feel safe and wanted, like nothing in the world could be wrong. The thing that finally got her to move was the fact that her bandages had started to itch. At first she had ignored it, hoping it would just go away but the problem persisted to the point she had started to squirm a little.
"S..sorry," She apologized for moving so much. "These bandages are itchy. I need to change them." They had been left on for some time, they hadn't been changed since Xiu had put them in place, they were long overdue. "I think I need to go get more though. With both of us, it's going to take a lot."

Opening his eyes as Mitsu began to squirm, he looked at her inquisitively to see what was wrong. She quickly explained what was going on.
"Oh right. Grabbing some more won't hurt," he agreed while letting go of her so he could finally sit up. Once upright, he stretched out some, though gingerly. His wounds were healing up, but he was still tender in those areas from what he could feel.
"Will you be alright fetching more?" he asked. Her trip out yesterday seemed like it had worn her out a fair amount. While he was sure she'd be fine, he just wanted to make sure she was up to it. Shun didn't want her exhausting herself too much and all.

Straightening out her clothes Mitsu knelt to retrieve her shoes. She was still sore but her movements were a little better.
"Yeah, I should be okay." Mitsu nodded slipping her shoes on her feet. "Do you want anything while I'm out?" If she was going out she might as well gather as much stuff at once as possible. "I can always grab us snacks. Jerky or even cookies." Mitsu enjoyed the jerky that Hel always seemed to have but the lycan also had a sweet tooth. As long as they was no chocolate she was often all over sweets.

Thinking on that, Shun paused as Mitsu offered to pick up cookies. No. No cookies please. Anything but cookies.
"Jerky sounds pretty good," he said to her, trying to not make a face at the thought of cookies.
"I could probably get some tea made for when you get back," he offered while slowly getting up and off the bed. He didn't really have food in his room, but he did have the supplies to make tea. It barely took any work to set up too.

"Okay." Mitsu nodded. She would probably pick up jerky and still get cookies or something else sweet. "Oh, tea sounds nice." A smile touched her lips at the thought. Something warm to drink when she got back would be good.
Shoes in place Mitsu stood to her feet and headed for the door. "I shouldn't be gone long." Waving goodbye Mitsu headed out of the room closing the door behind her softly. She felt in much higher spirits all of a sudden and that alone gave her energy as she headed downstairs and out of the reaper dorms.
The trip to town was mostly uneventful. Mitsu stopped at the store to pick up bandages and snacks unable to resist picking up a number of sweets. Her bag full of random odds and ends she stopped at the pet shop as well to pick up some treats for the random assortment of critters in Shun's room and only managed to get herself somewhat lost on the way back to school.
Just when she thought she had the right direction seeing the school in the distance, Mitsu's attention was diverted to a newspaper stand. There was an article laid out, a picture of the school on the front. The title was what stood out 'Amityville Under Suspicion' . Mitsu skimmed the article briefly a frown appearing on her face. Taking the newspaper, Mitsu left a silver seed as payment and hurried back to school and the reaper dorms. They hadn't really left the dorm since they had been back how could so much have happened?
Nearly running up the stairs to the reaper dorms Mitsu entered Shun's room with only a brief knock, heading toward him with the newspaper in hand. Setting the bag of stuff down Mitsu held out the newspaper so he could see the photo. "I..I need to read this too you. I have no idea what's happened." Maybe Shun would be able to make sense of it all but Mitsu was worried. What if they closed the school down?

Nodding to the girl, Shun made his way over to where he kept his drink stuffs and prepared to get a pot of hot tea ready. It wasn't too hard to do with the level of eyesight he currently had, so before long, he had to cups ready for himself and Mitsu.
Glancing up as he actually heard the door opening along with the knock, he tilted his head as she held some sort of paper in her hand. Furrowing his brow, he wondered what the issue was as he took the thing. Unfortunately, he really couldn't make out any of the details. He was even worse at reading now than he normally was.
"What's wrong?" he frowned. It sounded like Mitsu was distressed so the article must be something serious, "Come onto the bed, we can read it there."
He took the two cups of tea and made his way over, setting the two onto the nightstand.

Nodding Mitsu kicked off her shoes and followed Shun toward the bed crawling up beside him. She moved in close leaning against him as she sat down before opening up the paper so that she could read. Once in place she began to go over the article in her hands, reading it out loud carefully so she didn't miss anything. Once she was done she set the paper aside looking up at Shun.
"D..do you really think they will close the school down?" How would she see her friends again. How would she see Shun?

After taking a sip of tea and setting it back down, Shun leaned back while staring at the paper, listening to its contents. His expression shifted from a more neutral one to something along the lines of irritation and anger.
"This is how they treat the sacrifices of a warrior?" he sneered lowly, frowning, "I don't think they'll close the school down but jack dam these people."
He didn't really know Red, but after what she did for them, she deserved more than this.
"And what's this s**t about her retiring?"
Perhaps the Boogeys were covering up quite a bit after all.
