So, how is this idea compared to my other attempts at vampire roleplays?
I like it! [Thank you very much; I'm happy to hear that~]
Meh. Mediocre, as always. [To each their own.]
This idea is bad and you should feel bad! [I choose to feel jubilated instead.]

{I was honestly waiting for things to progress a bit more between the visitor and Neil, assuming that he would be the one to give permission. sweatdrop This was, of course, due to the fact that I have writer's block. I apologize for being a burden, as wel as giving such a crappy post. sweatdrop }

"Send him in for now. I'll kick him out if he isn't up to our standards." Anya replied with a dismissive hand-wave, not honestly very interested in this musician unless he had tasty enough blood for her to feed on. She was rather thirsty, and they had to save Marie for later, sadly enough for her.

Zen was guided into the room, the bartender closing the door behind him. Zen glanced at the woman in the room with him and gave her a smile. “Hello Miss, you must be the owner. My name is Zen Tsubasa. Thank you for spearing some time for me,” he said as he extended his hand to her without breaking eye contact. He noticed right away how stunning she was. He was slightly amused at the thought that a woman that looked so fragile and beautiful was in control of this club. 'She must be one hard as girl,' thought Zen.

Marie giggled seeing the wink. Maybe he wasn't as shy as she thought. Nonetheless, it was still fun to work her charm. However a few moments later, it looked as though her fun was over, when he got off the chair and walked towards Anya's office. Marie tilted her head with curiosity. He knew Anya and Neil perhaps? Maybe when she came back tomorrow night she would get to see him again.

It was around that time that her friends were finally finished her drinks. They dragged her back to the dance floor for a couple of more songs, after which they all decided that it was time to go. They usually left the bar a little earlier then others just so that they could skip the crowd at coat check during closing. Giving her ticket to the woman behind the counter, Marie collected her coat and pulled it on over her dress before stepping out into the cool night air. A quick taxi ride later and they were all back at the residence building at school. They gathered up in the common room, winding down from the night at the club. One of her friends put on perogies for the four of them, while Marie got water and four cups. Oddly enough, this was usually Marie's favorite part about friday nights. When everyone got back to residence, with their alcoholic buzzes fading, just sitting and talking. It was only then that Marie them what had happened in the office, about the painting she was planning, and the commission offer. After scolding her about not mentioning it until now, the other girls gathered to hug her tightly, obviously happy for her. Not even out of school and she was already making a name for herself. Most visual arts students were nearly as lucky. Marie smiled, feeling that, perhaps her dreams were really starting to come true.

Out of politeness, Anya took and shook Zen's hand, having a surprisingly firm grip. "Nice to meet you. I'm Anya." she introduced herself, offering a small smile as she went straight to business. "So, Tsubasa, what brings you here to my humble party? I believe it was said that you are a musician...?"

Zen smiled, "Yes I am and I would like to talk to you about your line up." This would usually be the managers job, but being a Indies Band... he has no manager. They prefer to be on their own. He continued to stare her straight in the eyes. Most would find this unnerving but he thinks this is how business should be producted.

Neil was starting to get hungry.
"I'll be in the slums, if you need me." he said to Anya. It was obvious why he would be in the slums, as opposed to elsewhere. Impoverished areas were less likely to have law enforcement arrive. Poor lighting in the area also helped.

"Mmkay~ Come back soon." Anya replied with a broad smile, waving slightly at Neil as he left before continuing with her conversation with Zen. "What about it? You hoping to get your big start playing here?" she asked, almost seeming to take on a playful tone as well as an impish way of grinning. She ignored the staring for the moment being, simply assuming it was because she was so drop dead gorgeous. (In her own oppinion.)

Zen's eyes shifted towards the unnoticed male, then back at Anya. 'He must have been unnoticed do to her grabbing the attention,' he thought to himself, a slight smile creeping upon his lips. It was true, he noticed Anya and only Anya when he entered. He shrugged his shoulders, "My band plays at many places, so there is no big start. I only enjoy playing at small venues, makes it more intimate if you know what I mean.”

Zen glanced around the room as he continued to speak, “look Ms. Anya, I don't expect you to accept my band without hearing it first. If you would like me to, I can sing for you right now or I can bring my band by tomorrow.” Maybe he was being to confident or bold... he didn't know which or cared. Zen knew this would be a nice place to have regular gigs, plus his fan club would surely come, which would bring more people to the club. It was a win win situation, but would Anya take the offer?

Only the insane have strength to prosper...

Mahlah

I hear you talking.
I recognize your voice.

I feel you, your skin.
I see you looking at me.

I know your saying something.

But all I hear, all I see,
All I smell is
blood,
blood,

blood.

Mahlah awoke like a drunk coming out of a stupor, finding blood on its hands and had only a vague idea of how it got there. The smell of gore was all around it, and the more it's eyes came back into focus the more it took in of what happened. The small shack was filled with the shredded remains of humans, it was hard to tell how many lives it took here. it rose its shaking hands into its view, slowly it clenched them together as the dread cold of what it had done started to sink into it's soul. Falling to its knees in a pool of crimson, it leaned forwards and fell forwards till its hands caught it. What had it done? How many innocent lives had ended in the thoes of its rage? Were was it even? How long had it been under the eclipse of its frenzy? What if Anya found out? What would she do? It didn't mean to do it, it didn't even remember doing it, yet the evidence was all the way up to its elbows and probably all over its face. It could taste the rich blood of humans on its tongue and felt bloated and heavy. How much had it drank? Whom did it drink from? Panic clouded the mind of the Dhampir and the horror upon realizing what it had done was cracking its sanity and wearing on its already fragile psyche. It needed to run, it needed to get back to Anya's sanctuary. It got up to run away, but knew if it was caught with this much blood all over it, it would be in some deep, deep trouble. It had to find a place where it could wash up and make sure that it didn't look like it came right out of the butchershop. It looked around and found a deep sink where it turned the water on and started to wash, scrub and rub the blood off of its person. It was still breathing heavily but it was in the beginning to finally calm down. It had to wash, four times four, scrubbing and washing in multiples of four. It desperatly trying to quell its anxieties and sooth itself. How was it going to explain this to Anya... or would it even have to? If it didn't say anything then maybe it wouldn't come back to her? She would know, she would likely be able to smell the human blood on him.
After what seemed like forever, it finally was satisfied with its presentation and staggered out of the shack. Though, the building was actually the junkyard office. It still didn't know who it was who it came in contact with or how it even got that far in a blind rage, but how that the adrenaline was dying down, it could feel pain in its side. It seemed to have been shot. It needed to get home where it could pull whatever was in its body out, it could heal properly then. It looked around for a while before finding its bearings and starting off with a hastened limp towards where it needed to go to be safe, to be conforted and where it could heal.

..only those who prosper can truely judge what is sane.
