Herryk's shoulders drooped slightly as he stared darkly at the back of Freya's head. This was not how he'd figured this would play out, not at all. Crossing his arms over his massive chest, Herryk grunted rather loudly before his attention was grabbed by Freya's ... sister?

Oh ho ho.

He blatantly eavesdropped on the conversation while Hel spoke. This time it was Herryk whose eyes jumped from one sister to the next. His expression lifted and he looked somewhat like a hopeful puppy before his hopes and dreams of a rematch were crushed by Freya's words.

Fine. Two could play at this game, probably.

"Twotone," he said, directing the nickname at Hel, patiently waiting until the younger Valkyrie had introduced her friend Mot to Freya, "could you please tell your sister that Herryk is sorry. Now, he is not sure why he is sorry, but he is sorry and he hopes that your ladybird sister -- FREYA -- can forgive him because he does not want to ruin her day." He flicked one of Freya's feathers again as if punctuating his words.

"Herryk has even offered to buy lad -- FREYA lunch." Oh, he was miffed.

Shehk looked back to Herryk and shrugged. However, it was one of those shrugs that said 'I kinda get it, but....'. If nothing else, Shehk was getting a good lesson in reading looks though. Then again, it may have been that being canine outweight being female and canines just knew. "What about you, mare războinic?" she asked, apparently having some fun in coming up with spontaneous nicknames for people in her native tongue.

It was grand fun, really. Except when it made people think she was going to eat them like a tater tot.

"Would you like something as well for passing our Terror Warrior course? It is quite challenging, isn't it? I'm curious if anybody else has topped my run yet." She knew that she'd been outrun by Astra, but at the same time...had anybody topped Astra as well? Hmm. If not, she didn't feel bad about trying to push people to beat her. Shehk shrugged and leaned over the top of the counter to wave down Jericho. "C'mere and I'll get those wings for you~ Junko is still runnin' the course out of sheer embarrassment I think~" she explained, waving him over.

"How's the leaderboard lookin'?" she asked as she set up a plate of about five of the hot wings - she assumed the dragon could handle that much at the very least - offering it to him.

"T-thanks," Mitsu said softly. "I still didn't make it through."

Before her run she had seen the large Nordic student ahead of her and he had completed everything without effort. It was like the course was nothing and she...she had just struggled through the majority of it only to fail in the end. At least she had made it close to the end. It was still rather disappointing though.

"Are you going to try again?" Mitsu asked softly. She had no idea in her lingering to come back that Shun had already ran the course again...and made it through.

Aww, but sister!” Hel pressed, “It’s not the valkyrie way to turn down a rematch!” She reminded, clucking her tongue. “I also do not see any baby boils around, and I think LadyBird happens to be a flattering name! Ah…yes! That he is!” Hel replied when Freya questioned her letter, and gave her sister a brief ‘you had better not be thinking about snapping him, stop it’ look before turning her attention back over to Mot. “That it is friend! This is my elder sister, Freya!” She beamed up at the cowboil, not at all bothering to question him about the course, despite still being soaked from her failed attempts thus far, as her mind was preoccupied with this Herryk and Freya situation. She did have enough decency to peer around the cowboil though, and wave to Jericho. “Greetings, friend!”

The ghoul’s attention snapped over to Herryk now, and she couldn’t help but grimace as being addressed as ‘TwoTone’. For two reasons. One, it was not a topic to be taken lightly, two, it was not a topic to be taken lightly with Freya around. Dual toned eyes cast a preemptive, cautious glance at the older valkyrie who…she was sure might have something to say here in a minute. Ah dear, it was time to do some preemptive damage control! While she did find the undead boil’s words to be rather endearing…dealing with her sister was a whole other matter onto itself. “The name is Hel, friend! It’s a pleasure to meet you!” She gave Herryk a small grin as she cast another glance over at Freya.

Ah, you heard that, yes, dear sister? I think you should take him up on his offer, it would please me so! I think it is wonderful that you are making bonds with future comrades already, and it is important to strengthen them, yes?” The valkyrie even nonchalantly shuffled so that she was kind of between Herryk and Freya…as if she was…waiting for something…

Freya was all smiles for Mot, giving him a firm handshake. "Hah, she says many very nice things abouts you too, Mot! I feel like I knows you already, and this is first time we have met!" She gave a quick glance to the hat, before smiling down at him again. "I can tells we're going to be great friends."

Unlike the big guy behind her, who was still trying to get her attention - and doing it in the worst ways possible. She continued to ignore him - for now.

"You are treasurer?" She whistled, impressed. "You are second persons I have met on the Student Council. How many will I meets today, I wonder? You seem so strongs though, I am surprised you are not president, Mister Jericho Treasurer of Student Council." She was eyeing him appreciatively - now he would be much harder to break than Mot. Hel should have stuck by this one, instead. But ah, she would never tell her sister this. Hel did what Hel wanted, and Freya was proud of it. As long as it wasn't stupid.

Herryk had become intolerably impossible to ignore. It was the moment he called her sister two-tone that broke Freya, who dropped all pretense of friendliness and turned around to look up at him. Her eyes were wide with some kind of fire burning brightly in them - she was about to attack. There was no denying this. She was going to ravage this big piece of meat, and not in the good way. No one called her sister two-tone and lived. NO ONE.

The growl just barely came out of her voice before Hel stopped her, but Freya's fiery gaze rested firmly on Herryk. She refused to look away, and not just because he was a lot to look at. Rather, she corrected herself quickly, not at all for that reason. Definitely not. She was going to bring him down and wrestle him until he apologized to her sister, or else-

Ohhh, Hel. Hel, why did you have to pull the trump card. All the fire ebbed out of Freya as she finally turned, looking at Hel with desperation in her eyes. Why did she have to go and say it would please her, why? It wasn't fair! She wanted to rend this boil to pieces, not spend the afternoon with him like some kind of-

UGH.

Her head turned back to Herryk, and her eye twitched. She reached up, and her finger rested squarely on his chest.

If Hel wanted her to take him up on his offer, so be it.

But it would be on her terms.

"Oh, ya. You're going to treats me to lunch. And I'm going to eats, maybe, four lobsters. And never." She prodded his chest repeatedly. "Never call my sister two-tone again. Even if you call me ladybird for the rest of my life, I will not stand for you calling her anything but Hel."

She dropped back down, having had to get on her tiptoes to try and look imposing (she failed), and put her hands on her hips.

"Deal?"

Hearing Shehk speak up, Jericho noted that Junko indeed wasn't around. With a grin, he stepped a little closer to the counter so he could grab the flaming wings. Oh Jack, those looked delicious. Mmm.. .yes.

"Oh, thanks Shehk," he said before thinking on the obstacle course, "No one's beaten the little Klefairy... I mean Astra yet. Don't know how the Jack she did it. Just last month she couldn't lift 10 pounds!"

It was obvious that the dragon was incredibly bewildered by this.

"Maybe she took FEARoids or something. I have no clue. Aside from that, the frost demon, Edel is in second. She didn't beat your score though. Herryk, Freya, and Levi come next," he said before motioning to Shun, "Not really on the high scoreboard, but he managed to beat the damn thing twice so I guess there's some merit in that."

Shaking his head again, he took a bite out of a flaming wing, relishing its flavor. Oh yeah, this was good stuff right here.

Turning back to the Valkyries, he grinned and waved to Hel before addressing Freya.

"Well this event is run by the Student Council. Shehk and Junko are on board too," he chuckled before blinking at her comment about being president. Then laughing again, he just grinned at her and said, "Believe me when I say our president is far more capable than I to handle the job. She's the only one I can really see in the position. Both strong and intelligent.. I would not underestimate her in the slightest."

Looking at Mitsu softly, Shun shook his head before patting her lightly on the shoulder.

"You still did a pretty damn good job. Don't feel so down on yourself... I bet you didn't expect you'd get that far anyway, right?" he said. At her question, he nodded while looking back to the course.

"I.. already did. I managed to improve my score, but not by a whole lot."

Herryk was baffled at Freya's reaction to him calling her sister two-tone, but she was talking to him again and for that he was thankful. Sending Hel an appreciatively thankful smile, he addressed her with an apologetic look on his face.

"Herryk is sorry for any upset he has caused Miss Hel." He really was -- there was no way he could know how much he'd upset the sisters with the innocent nickname, but by the telltale expression on Freya's face it would not be a mistake he made again. Even now he wasn't sure why the nickname was upsetting -- the sisters were both pretty as far as Herryk was concerned. Then again, Herryk could not lay claim to being the smartest boil at the Academy. "Hel has all of Herryk's gratitude for getting Freya to speak with him again."

That being said, Herryk turned his attention back to Freya.

"It is a deal," he conceded. She'd won this round, that much was obvious. "Freya can eat whatever she likes -- but don't forget to save room for the contest that we have signed up for," he narrowed his eyes at her. There was no malice in his tone, just a gentle reminder.

"I guess I did okay. I...really didn't expect to get so far." Mitsu had really surprised herself. The lycan had made it passed one of her own personal hurtles. Heights. There were more than a few things in the course that had been high above the ground but she had managed to surpass them with time. It had been a struggle but in the end she had done fairly well considering.

"Y..you already ran again?" And he had passed...and beat his old score. For a moment Mitsu felt deflated all over again but soon she smiled behind her mask. She was proud of Shun for completing the course so efficiently. "I'm sure we'll both do even better the next time." Was she thinking about trying again? It was possible.

Looking over at the group not far off Mitsu spotted Hel still speaking with her sister and the large undead Nordic student. Maybe she should say hello?
PostPosted: Wed Sep 28, 2011 10:48 pm

Releasing her shoulder, Shun nodded lightly to her. It would be awhile before he tried again, seeing how he didn't want to end up fatiguing himself to the point where he couldn't complete the first stage even.

"I'm sure of it," he agreed with her before glancing to where Mitsu seemed to be looking. It was a little hard to follow her line of sight, but it seemed like she was glancing to the nordic group. He didn't feel too much of a need to go and speak with them, but if Mitsu wanted to, that was perfectly fine.

Hel was rather pleased that Freya seemed to get along well with Mot, and watched her sister interact with her friend with a grin. The reaper brushed her thumb against her nose, and then looked over at said cow boil once more. “So…” She started. “…Have you tried yet, friend?” The reaper jerked a thumb over at the Terror Warrior Challenge.

Ah, there it was. Hel had been anticipating this.

The ghoul tensed, leaning towards her sister to deter her from doing anything to the large undead boil. What’s this? Hel stopping a potential fight? What was this all about? She seemed relieved though, as her plea worked like a charm, disarming Freya and even getting her to consent to Herryk’s request. Victory! As Freya also went on to reinfornce that he was not to call her two tone though, the reaper couldn’t help but look a tiny bit…disgruntled. Secretly, she found it a tad embarrassing that her older sister felt the need to defend her…in front of all her friends. She cast a quick glance at Mot before looking back at Herryk.

Hel gave a dismissve wave of her hand to Herryk, and was grinning widely now. “Ah, just Hel is fine, truly, and you are very welcome friend! I thank you for uh…graciously welcoming my sister to the Academy.” She gave a firm nod of her head here, tossing a teasing look at Freya.

Freya expected some kind of sarcastic retort. And why not? That was all she had received from the big baby boil since the moment she'd met him. Frustrating, competitive, blood boiling remarks that had made her want to scream.

But instead, she was met with a slap of conrite honesty, and the slap took its toll on her expression. She shook slightly, backing up once she saw the disarming look on Herryk's face, and swallowed hard. He was thanking Hel for getting her to talk to him again, and it threw Freya for a very large, twisting loop.

Why did he even care if she was talking to him again? It's not like any of this mattered. None of it. Nothing about this entire situation mattered in the slightest bit, damnit. She bent her head slightly when he turned his attention back to her, and her eyes glared with fervent interest at a spot on the floor to his left.

"Yeh. Well. I will." She mumbled under her breath, shoving some loose hair that had come undone from the course back behind her ears. Her face felt hot and stuffy, and she knew just what that meant. She had to get out of there - fast.

"So I just. Then. Goings to uh. Over theres and-" She put both of her hands over her mouth to try and shut herself up, and then turned around to try and get away from everyone.

This was not what she had in mind when she had signed up for Amityville.

During her battle with the terror warrior course Junko had missed the shenanigans between Freya and Herryk. She had missed the sisterly reunion as well which, had she known, would have disappointed her greatly. She loved seeing her friends happy! But she had also missed an awkward moment between them involving Herryk, which was a good thing. On the bright side her embarrassment from earlier on with the whole fapping business was gone..mostly. Junko still couldn't believe she'd done something so stupid. She was blushing just thinking about it, wringing out the skirt of her FEARleading uniform as she made her way back to the booth. Oh! There were more people here now! "Hi, Jericho! Hi, Hel!" Oh, good! She and Freya had met! It still didn't click with her they were sisters, mostly because Junko..thought the dual tones of Hel's appearance was a genetic thing. The ghoul instantly assumed everyone in Hel's family looked that way. "Hi...Herryk..!" Her eyes were wide when she spotted him. And how could she not? He was huge and scary and there. She remembered him from Riley's original campaign booth. Again...how could she not? Ah! Another robed figure as well! Junko gave him, her or it a wave as well and smiled. She was trying to shove back the terrible memory. Fapping indeed. Ugh.

Junko was picking at her soaking wet uniform with a pout as she walked over to press a kiss against Seiji's temple, give his back a gentle pat before she wandered back behind the booth with Shehk. "I'm back, I'm sorry I took so long. I tried it twice and failed...twice. Eh heh. That course really is a challenge, Jericho!" Junko chuckled, picking out a quick snack for herself. What? She made this food. She could eat it if she wanted to! Her hair twitched, an attempt to lift itself so it could grab a spookie or two. Junko blinked and glanced at the heavy wet hair trying to move, frowning and picking up two spookies. She held them behind her head in offering until She was able to move her hair enough to reveal Her mouth, she then dropped the cookies into the open mouth and dropped her hand again.

...Odd. She wasn't hearing Freya but she clearly saw Freya. From what she had gathered in the short time she'd seen her before she was very loud, very boisterous and very confident. Standing with her back to everyone looking ready to run was none of those things. "Ah..are you alright, Miss Freya?"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 29, 2011 9:41 am

"Huh! Well, clearly I need to get everybody riled up to do better, don't I?" she paused for a moment, before adding, "Or just start spiking all the concession's food with FEARoids to get people runnin'." Shehk grinned, obviously joking, seeming thoughtful for a moment while she took a moment to bite into another Shehk-edition spookie as it had been made for her by Junko. Shehk looked to Junko, however, quite quizzically, tilting her head to one side, then to the other, then back to the other again. Hmmmmm~ "I should offer a prize for beating my score!" Shehk said suddenly, grinning. "I mean, for people who haven't yet." she added with a nod. "I don't know what yet, but I'll think of something!"

Her tail wagged a bit, before she looked to Freya.

"Yep~ Our lady President is perfect for the position. I would have voted for her without a second of hesitation if I hadn't been running myself." Shehk still wasn't sure who all had voted for her - sans a majority, but none the less.. she was working with an awesome group of people. Which, on the note of, it seemed one of them had made their return!

"Welcome back, Junko!" Shehk said, waving to the other ghoul and grinning as she bid her greeting to her boil, a thoughtful look on her face as she watched the pair. Perhaps she was jealous. However, she didn't say anything on that note, instead she just pressed away from the bench and stretched her arms out above her head, feeling her back pop in a satisfying way.

"Seems like a lot of action happened while you were away~ I'm sorry to hear you didn't pass through the course this time..." Shehk patted the other ghoul on the shoulder. "But hey, just the attempt is worth it."

Huh huh what? Cold hands on his shoulders had the ghost boil jerking back to attention, head snapping up from where it had been resting on his folded arms. Apparently he'd dozed off, though considering how very tired it was that wasn't all that surprising. Not even Herryk and Freya's challenges had been enough to maintain the poor ghost's attention. This tiredness crap was just awful, how in Jack's name did the living deal with something so.. frustrating.

The press of cool lips against his temple brought an easy smile along gray lips, and he looked up to give Junko a fond grin as she moved around him to return to her duties. "Welcome back. How far did you get?" He had to guess she hadn't made it all the way through, being that she was soaking wet. Least not on her first try in any case, if she decided to give it a few tries. That water had looked cold, and he was glad he hadn't had the misfortune of testing it, unlike the two fearleaders, poor ghouls. And on that thought.. "Hey, do you two want me to go and grab some towels from the locker room?" Not like it was very far from where they were situated.

Hot tea sounded like a good idea as well, but he filed that one away to suggest to Junko for later, after the stand had closed for the evening.

He blinked when he noticed a second hooded figure, glowing eyes darting between Nahm and the newcomer. "Relative of your's?" It was a guess, but their robes had a similar feel to them. Seemed too much a coincidence for them not to at least know each other.
