Kallos was relieved for a moment when it looked as if their attacking had paid off, and the creature fell. Soon though, Kallos felt a feeling that had become all too familar for the haunt. The feeling of eyes watching him.

He looked around, and then spotted them, his own eyes widening fearfully as he saw just how many of them there was.

As the horde then seemed to pounce. Kallos remembered that the entire time they'd fought these things that he knew he would fail completely if it ever came down to just hand to hand combat against them.

Well, now was the time to test out that theory.

Makeshift atlatl still in hand, the haunt lashed out as much as he could, fear of being overwhelmed by the creatures too great. The haunt usually would have tried to run, but the exits seemed blocked by the furry death-traps.

Was Kallos whimpering at the sight of so many enemies? You bet he was.

His pathetic amount of muscle didn't do much to the creatures, either, but at least he still had his rough club-like atlatl in hand, which allowed him to fend them off from a slightly farther reach. That way they weren't too close to him, unless they came from behind.

Still, anyone watching this would have probably laughed at the amount of PATHETIC that reeked from Kallos' weak attempts to fight away the creatures. It was seriously just that pitiful.

The ground was littered with tiny, lifeless bodies.

And yet, they did not diminish at all, the ones alive were just as ominous as those dead, blank, vacant eyes blinking as they latched on to their closest victims, as they all but buried their victims in bodies, piles of white, fluffy, cute bodies.

The things simply did not tire, and where they moved, they acted as an entity, enveloping students and visitors in waves. They blinked in unison one more time, turned their heads to assess the situation-

-"Time out." The voice boomed from nowhere and everywhere at once-

- And then were gone. Littered on the ground instead of dozens of broken, desecrated bodies were instead, several small, glittering items.

Everywhere, the little beasts were coming from eve-ry-where! Every time he pulled on from his body to toss it away from him another pounced to replace it. They were drowning in tiny warm bodies and sharp little teeth and claws, and even the strong among them were having issues keeping themselves from being overwhelmed. With a frustrated growl the boil grabbed a handful of squirming limbs and yanks them away from himself, snapping little arms and tails before throwing them as a group against the nearest wall.

This was impossible! Why the jack couldn't they just have one school activity that didn't end in a battle?!

Then, as suddenly as it had started, it stopped. A loud voice boomed over head and with the last echoing syllable the creatures were gone. The weight of tiny bodies suddenly lifting from the jikininki and everyone around him. He blinked dark eyes up towards the ceiling, from where he'd assumed the voice had come from, saw nothing there, then stared down at the glittering badges now littering the floor. "What in Jack's name..?" Had all that been a.. a test?!

He bent and plucked one of the badges from the floor and turned it over in his hands, examining it before tucking it into a pocket. He didn't have many of the badges, but he might as well keep it. With a huff he forced his fingers back through unruly lengths of dark hair then turned to look for Junko among the masses. Spotting her not far from the fire ball tossing horesman.. horsewoman? Person. "Hey J! You ok?" He himself was covered in tiny little bites and cuts, but nothing serious. "Let's get out of here."

Sebastian let out a very audible sigh of relief and then turned back to Bri. She seemed to be okay, if a bit frantic. With a wave of his hand he said, "Miss, it's okay. It's all over. No more eyes." He gestured to the ground as he spoke.

Come to think of it, what was on the ground then. They seemed to be small and shiny ...

Sebastian bent down and picked up one. At first he couldn't figure what it was, then he realized it was a plastic version of those eyes. He immediately dropped it just out of shock, and then picked it up again out of embarassment. He nabbed another one and then handed it to Bri. "I think this's meant for us..." He didn't really want to keep it, but it seemed to be their reward. At this point, he was a little placid about the whole deal.

Awkwardly, he attempted to put a hand on Bri's shoulder. "Let's get out of here. This place is givin' me the creeps." He nodded and then headed for the exit.

Mo was snapped out of it when she heard the voice looking around for where it came from. She just blinked a little ashamed at the fact she was stunned by minis. She groaned the thought of her classmates back home and her mentor hearing about this. Mo dropped her head when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. She stared at it a bit more before bending down to pick it up. It looked like the eyes of those things but wasn't blinking thank the goddess. She sighed and put it away between her breast with the other badges she managed to collect. The left as quickly as she could because this place gave her a headache.

Roch looked around, positive that there were more of the little bastards hiding somewhere in the shadows. He was still looking as he crouched down, scooping up a badge. "Now would be a good time to leave," he said to Rikki before backing towards the door to leave.

Minnie calmed down again. "Wha- what just happened?". She gazed around, curiously. Who saved her from those horrible things? Well, Minnie doesn't know for sure. But, she spotted a badge on the ground. "Awesome. This'll do the trick.", Minnie says, as she picks the badge up and puts it in her pocket. "C'mon Soul, lets walk away." Soul hisses, then they all went away from the gym.

Junko panted, her hands on her knees and her hair throwing two more lifeless creatures away from her. She felt so bad. Those creatures had been so...cute! She cried out in surprise as she suddenly found dozens more climbing on her and making her lose her balance, falling to the floor under a pile of cute bodies. Whyyyy! She tried to crawl away, to drag herself out from under the pile, but before she could so much as attempt to pull at herself there came a loud booming voice that made her tense up and stare wide-eyed ahead of her. Wh-what was that? Time out? Like...in a game?

This had all been a game?

She was surprised to find the bodies were gone and in their place were hundreds of glittering badges that looked just like those faces. Junko plucked one off the floor anyway, pocketing it. She was working on getting up off the floor when she heard her name being called by a voice that made her heart flutter. Seiji! She looked up and saw him coming up to her, a big, goofy grin on her face as she managed to get up onto her feet again. "Uh huh! I'm okay~." She hadn't noticed much of anyone around because of the chaos. She knew she wasn't alone, but she hadn't realized just who was around specifically. Junko quickly reached out for one of Seiji's hands and held it tightly in her own. "Okay. Oh! I should show you Sayuri! She's been so good!" Seiji didn't like Sayuri, but Junko was making it her mission to make him like her.

Really, this was just another day in Amityville. Sigh.

The gym was empty once more as something blinked from the shadows, once, then twice, before stepping out of the shadows. It twitched its overly large ears, and tilted its head to one side.

< I am to be honest, not really impressed by these students at all > As if to reaffirm its point, the minipet - or was it? - fixated its eyes on the door, where the last occupant had just left mere moments ago. < Are you sure these are the ones you have been asked to look out for? > It took a second to scratch one of its ears.

"It will do." Someone else was in the 'Gym' as well, form small and rather unimpressive. They floated evenly off the ground, though their cape made a spectacle of draping long past their stunted form, covering their head and body entirely in purple fabric. A small arm shot out from the fabric and simply looked at one of three slightly oversized watches strapped to its wrist. "If not anything else, it was at least, entertaining." It was hard to tell whether or not the figure was hiding a smile. "I look forward to the next chapter, though I have a good idea of what will happen."

The 'minipet' - was it the pet of this ghost? - stopped scratching its ears for just a second. < You already know. > There was no question in this statement.

"All in due time," for a second it looked like the purple fabric had scooped over to eat the 'minipet' whole as they picked up said creature. "All in due time."
