Nihl nodded, "They are." But not before he had a chance to pity the poor woman. Of course, he was the sick child, he knew what it was like to never be allowed to leave. "So, how do you plan to get out of your house then, to marry?"

"Fine, fine." Grigori leaned forward on the counter toward his daughter, "Can Daddy have a bite?"
Afsana nodded and stuck her fork in the cake to lift a pice up to her father's mouth, "Ah!" She mocked the sound of anopen mouth to instruct her fatehr on what to do.
He replied with the same action and ate the cake from the fork ending it with a smile and a ruffle of the small girl's hair, "Thank you honey."

Laci sighed. "I am not sure really." She paddled around to settle back to just floating where the current would take her "If I was out more then maybe I would meet a man who was interested in an uncultured non-socially exposed women. Like myself, then I would stand a chance at finding a husband."

Avarossa rolled her eyes. "That's not the food I meant. I don't know what is with all you people. Eating sweets this early in the morning! All you'll get from it is stomach aches." She set a plate down so she could pull her husband around and hold out a plate with normal breakfast foods. "Eat."

"It's not good to sell yourself short like that." Nihl opted to let his hair free and bgin the untangling process with his fingers, "I think any man would be lucky to have a woman like you for a wife. I mean clearly you know how to take care of children, you're beautiful and smart and reserved but not quite timid - you've no idea how rare that actually is- and, you're also not crazy."

Grigori took to his wife's side to give her a quick peck on the cheek, "Stop using your energy up worrying about me. You know I don't need it."

Laci watched as he undid his hair trying not to think too much on his words. If she did her blush would only get brighter. "My father wouldn't agree with a word you just said. Apparently I am loud, overly opinionated, and ill mannered." She sighed and stood up in the water, giving up on floating and holding a good conversation. "You're only going to add tangles if you try it like that." She said still watching him. Rolling her eyes with a smile she walked to his side to help. After all she was a girl and spent plenty of time on her hair.

"You need someone to look out for you." Avarossa said pushing the plat into his hand. "Eat something other then cake, please love." She knew if she pleaded with him she would win out. She was good at winning small battles with him. Her daughter clearly got her manipulativeness from her mother.

Nihl just laughed sort of sheepishly and allowed the woman to work her magic with his hair. "Honestly you shouldn't have to worry about children as much as you do until you have your own, most would argue that you need your childhood back." He smiled, "But don't worry, I'm willing to help you reclaim it."

Grigori put the plate back down. "But Honey, I'm not hungry anymore, not after that filling breakfast this morning."
Afsana giggled, "Can't have two breffistes, Mommy. Duh." She shoved the last bit of cake into her mouth and probably hadn't chewed it enough before she swallowed it down in one large gulp. "All done. Fun time."

Laci moved onto some of the small tangles near the end of his hair. If she had a comb she was sure she could do a better job. "It's not like I don't mind taking care of them. I do want to be a mother someday. So I like to think of it as practice." She tugged lightly and managed to get a particularly nasty snarl out. "But I would like to get out more. That's for sure. I mean I can't meet people if I am stuck inside all day!"

Avarossa frowned. He couldn't be hinting to what she thought he was. "I'll get you." She said glaring at the white eyed sorcerer. "Baby." She said looking down to her daughter. "What did you want to do today?"

Nihl winced a bit as she tugged at the greater knots but he smiled anyhow, "Thank you for this." He laughed, "The only ones who ever really concern themselves with me like this are my brother and Grigori."

"I want to fight in the army!" Afsana threw her little hands up into the air excitedly.
"We've been over this, sweetheart, you're too young. When you're older, you can ask uncle Millin nicely to let you be a knight. Until then, you can play with the other kids."
Afsana pouted. "The other kids are dumb. Mostly girls. Mostly they say I'm weird and make googly eyes at TorTor."
Grigori made a face, "Oh yeah?" He turned thr girl's seat around to face him, "Well it doesn't matter what the other girls say because you're way better than them anyway." He leaned forward to give her a kiss on the forehead, "And Daddy's weirder than anyone in the whole world!" He picked her up and posited her on his hip, "Except for grandma. Either way, it's not so bad to be different. Especially when you're as amazing as we are, right?"

"Well I am used to taking care of hair. Mine is long, and so is my little sister's. And as you know, kids don't care to brush their own hair." She ran her hand through the spot she had just cleared of knots. To help ease the pain she rubbed his scalp, her siblings loved it, so she figured he would enjoy it as well. "An you, good sir, have nice hair, so you must take special care of it."

Paha came into the kitchen, two of his daughters walking close beside him. "Good morning." He said walking over to see what was for breakfast. "Where did the king run off to? I have been looking for him."
"He has a guest. So Nihl is out, ahem, entertaining her." Avarossa walked over to her husband's side and kissed her daughter on her head. "How about we go on a little outing today?"

"Thank you." Nihl laughed again, "I don't ever take care of it, Grigori always said to find a wife who would." He scoffed,"So I'm not sure if that's in the criteria or not, but I don't even know who's looking anymore." He laughed again, "One of the men last night suggested I just wait until someone finds me," he looked at her when he dropped his smile and was silent for a moment, "And, I thought, maybe that's a good idea..."

Grigori looked around, "Come to think of it, I haven't seen him since that woman arrived." He shrugged, "Any sign is a good sign." He turned to his wife, "Wait, when did he leave?"
Afsana nodded, "Can I buy a sword?"

Laci, never having had an experience with romance, other then in books, was oblivious. "That could work for you." She said with a smile. "I am sure enough young women go through your home that one of them would catch your interest. Oh hold on, nasty tangle." Her concentration switched to unwinding the tangle and gently picking it apart till she could run her hands through it with out any catching. "But I agree, she'll have to be able to brush your hair for you." Laci smiled again.

Avarossa frowned. "I thought they were both still in the palace."
"No. Trust me. I have been looking." Paha said taking a biscuit off the counter. "I can't find the man anywhere. The only place I didn't check was your bedroom and his. I figured you two may still be trying to sleep."
"Nope little one like to rise with the sun." She put her hand on her daughter's head.

Nihl was not as slow as he may have been coming off. He winced again when the woman untangled his hair once more. He smiled and decided to add another bit to the criteria, "And I would love it if she could appreciate the ocean the way I do. The way you do."

Grigori raised an eyebrow himself and sighed, "I'm not sure, darling."

Laci paused at her work. He couldn't possible mean her. But they did seem to get along. For as much as she could tell. No, he didn't mean her. She couldn't concentrate on his hair any more. "Oh." She blushed. Why was he looking at her so much? Unless he really did mean her. Sudden realization dawned on the young women. Her face flushed and she smiled sheepishly, Laci had no idea what to say. "Yes." She became aware, that she was close, and that he was male and she was female, and they were both completely unsupervised.

"If he's not in the house with the young miss, then you can bet he is out at the beach." Avarossa said with a sigh.
Paha nodded. "Then I'll go get him."
"No, he has a guest. You'll have to wait for him to come back." Avarossa stopped him before he could get away. If Nihl had a chance at love with that young girl she wouldn't let anything mess that up.

"I don't know any other women who can appreciate a beach as nice as this one, hm. What say you we go sit on the shore and enjoy the view from there?" He grabbed her hand and began sloshing back out of the water toward the shore keeping her close behind.

"I'm sorry is my wife, my wife, allowing for the action of premarital se-" Grigori stopped himself realizing his daughter was there, "fornication? Hm? Are you really going to say that's okay because it's the king?"
Afsana looked confused and looked from her mother to her father, "What's forniferication?"
"It's a disease. You don't want it."

Laci was careful to drag her feet across the sea floor. She most certainly didn't want an animal to bit her. Nihl's odd behavior left her more confused then she ever had been. "Alright." She said following behind till they reached the shore. "I supposed we'll have to go back soon." Not that she really wanted to, but the chef would be expecting them.

Avarossa glared. "No of course not, I imagine he had better control of his." She stopped and frowned trying to think of ways to say this with her daughter there. "Of his urges then that. We should be able to trust him to try and fall in love then try and." She stopped again. "And give her his disease."
"Then you are giving him too much credit." Paha said nodding to his three daughters. They split up and walked out the room in different directions. "No matter what he is still a man with baser instincts."

When the two emerged from the water Nihl took a seat on the shore and still held her hand, patting, with a free one, the sand beside him. "Join me."

Grigori stifled a laugh, "We can only hope he has no diseases to give."
"Do all boys has diseases, mommy? Does daddy has disease?"
