If anyone was curious how a horse might sound like if it was being killed mingled with the wailing of a teenage ghoul, they would know such a sound now. Calder was crying openly as he shook and shivered, nearly blinded by his own tears, as he headed to the blurry vision of Barth's booth. He wanted his buddy. He wanted someone. He wanted to be anywhere but the stupid fish booth.
He would have called out the boil's name, but he couldn't even sputter anything through his own hyperventilating sobbing. He couldn't even see through his wet eyes if Barth was even around.

"...Calder?" Barth asked, looking up and still dabbing the blood from his brow.
"What happened, what's the matter?"

Oh, there was the fuzzy shape of Bath. His friend!!! The very sight of him, a person of comfort, made him break into a louder wail as he rushed over, hugging the boil about his chest and sobbing. As he did, he tried to give an explanation. "dizbulnevsowupwenhedehasmehbolfind." He managed before it broke down into a series of sobs again and the rest was even harder to figure out as he went into several other strings of untranslatable gibberish complete with the occasional breakup for Calder to breath in as his noise was, by this point, wet and making his face an even wetter mess.

All this searching and has yet to find anyone to help her. Maybe Barth or Mandy might know where she could find one... Bea looked around at the booth hoping to find either of them... Nope.... No Mandy...
There's Barth though! Oh, but he seems occupied by another student. Wait a minute... wasn't that the same lovestruck looking boil from that other booth? The one with the broken table? She looked down at the swag she had gotten, and held up the cute little Calder doll. "Yep" she said quietly to herself. The poor boil is crying hysterically...
Bea stared at them for a bit. "Perhaps I could ask him another time..." saying quietly to herself once again and walks off, back to her own booth.

Barth patted Calder's back awkwardly. The string of noises coming from the kelpie were too fast for him to process. He had seen the wreckage that Calder's booth had been reduced to, but Calder hadn't seemed too bothered about it when he passed by. Was it about his booth? He was, as Bea thought, too preoccupied to notice her hovering hopefully nearby.
"There was err, an explosion earlier. It's just fish guts. No one's died. ...Well Christof, nearly, but I think he's alright."

Calder had a hard time hearing over his own sobbing before he glanced up just to look around, but it was clear his eyes were nearly closed at this point and what wasn't was heavily obscured by tears that he hadn't even NOTICED Barth's booth. Instead, he gripped Barth tighter and pressed his face into the boil's chest, crying more. It seemed he was now stuck in a series of quick breaths like a chugging train that was trying to work itself into another series of long wails.
Barth's vest was starting to get soaked.

The tears were a welcome addition to whatever else his vest was soaked with.
"No? ...Calder, alright, it's alright."
He looked back to Colette and Simone for clues, and finding none, tried Calder, "...What's that you're holding?"

Calder looked up again, releasing his hold of the boil as he brought the bagged minpet close to his chest, looking at it and close to breaking down just thinking about it. Giving a wet sniffle, he looked up and tried to catch his breath a bit. "Its..Its..a...aah...flor-es-ce. He...He liked them." And now it was alone. He told the little fish that it was going with a big group and would be happy, but Calder lied. And...And CADE lied.
"Why..wha..why did he leave me??!!!!!!" He leaned his head back and started crying again, holding the little fish egg that bobbed inside of the plastic bag Calder was holding.

"He? ...He who."
Leave?
"Here, hold on, have a seat," Barth said, edging them both backwards towards the couch. "Don't mind the blood." He sat down in his own clean silhouette on the couch cushions, free of mess because all of it had ended up on his suit.
He remembered Simone's hanky, and offered it (now soiled) to Calder.

Calder sat down, once again not noticing the fact that couch was destroyed and Barth was not looking as pristine as he usually was. Offered the dirtied hankie, he took it and wiped his nose, blowing hard and clearing up his sinuses enough to smell something charred and fish guts. It smelled comforting, like home cooking. He blew his nose again before setting it down in his lap, looking over at the sloth demon.
"C-Cade. He's...He was this boil. A kelpie boil that I met two days ago. We spent time together. All day. And-And-And he was really nice to me and we played games together and spent time together and he even said he liked me and would-would-would be my boilfriend." Calder's eyes squeezed tight again, showing he was about to start crying again, but Calder managed to wipe his eyes with the back of his arm and collect himself enough to continue. "Then he ...he never showed up again. And I waited and waited and waited and he just..." His eyes were getting wet again. How was it even possible for a creature to cry this much??! "....never showed!" He pressed the handkerchief to his face before leaning into Barth's shoulder. "HE LEFT ME!!!!"

Colette couldn't help but puff her cheeks and frown at the answer received from a ghoul who, oddly, sounded more like a boil. She seemed like she didn't think it was a big deal at all, which was nothing short of annoying. "Insanity" was not a helpful answer, and picking up was not going to be fun because so far it looked like she was going to be the only one doing it. At least by the unique pace the ghoul displayed in leaving, Colette could sum up the similarity to Barth and knew she wasn't the cause of the mess. Flipping furniture wasn't something she expected to ever see a Sloth Demon do.
There was no answer for Simone's questions as Colette didn't know anything herself, but just in time Barth showed up. How equally dirty he was to the booth meant he definitely had answers. Colette watched Simone offer Barth a handkerchief, finding her storage place for it peculiar, but the Reaper was interested more in the topic of sabotage.
She would have asked about it too if it weren't for the Kelpie bawling his eyes out.
"Erm.." Colette looked around awkwardly, letting Barth handle it. She wasn't very confident in her comforting abilities, especially when it came to this severity.
"Want a goatee?" she finally asked Simone, trying to find something to do other than stand there while Barth handled the boil. Colette held the cauldron out, hoping she would take one even if she wasn't wearing one herself right now. At least Barth didn't notice or ask about the lack of goatee on her face. She rather avoid explaining it.

Well all this was...sort of familiar. Left. Significant others disappeared without notice. And the aftermath.
But two days?
"Lots of prospective students show up at these events. Perhaps he had to go home?"

That made sense, but Calder didn't want to hear too much of that. He frowned, eyes looking at the other boil for a moment. "But why didn't he say goodbye? Why did he say he'd be my boilfriend if he was going to be sent away? What if he's not home? What if he's dead? What if he decided he never wanted to see me again? What if he hates me?!!" He had no idea or any way to confirm or deny these ideas without Cade. He missed Cade. He wanted Cade. He wanted to know what happened and why he wasn't in the kelpie' boil's arms now.
He wanted to know why he had to hurt this bad when the boil had promised him so much and made him feel like he was the only thing in Cade's life.
Calder looked back in his lap, large droplets falling from his eyelashes. "I'm so stupid. I should have gotten his phone number." He curled in, dragging his hands through his hair. "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid."

Simone had shaken her head as to whether or not she had any inclination of what happened. "You're guess is as good as mine, but I would start with something suspicious and work from there?" She offered with a little shrug. Before the conversation could get in deep, there came a calamitous series of sobs and wails. She didn't know the boil's name off hand, at least until Barth spoke it. Well, it was quite obvious that the weeping boil needed a hug, which was also taken care of by the Sloth demon.
While not being the one getting sobbed at, she did have an understanding of the language of distress. "Oh...Trouble with a boilfriend," She muttered softly to no one in particular. It was nice to see her handkerchief getting to be so useful for a change. This seemed to be category five drama that she hadn't caused.
Sort of standing there, debating on what on earth to do with herself, her puzzling was snapped into focus when Colette spoke. "Huh? Oh...Uh, sure?" She looked down at the little cauldron and selected a Barth goatee lookalike. Turning it back and forth between her fingers, she returned her gaze to the ghoul. "Thanks...Is the adhesive any good? I don't know if I'll wear it but I do have a poster back in my dorm that it would look good on." She glanced over to the two boils made a face of vague discomfort. "I don't think I've ever had so much drama in my love life...Maybe I'm not much of a crier though..." She said with a sigh.
Shifting her gaze over to the boils on the couch, the demoness absently stroked the goatee in her palm. "I feel like I ought to make myself of some use or something..." Coming from a house with four adopted elder brothers, with a blood family comprised of Lust Demons, Incubi, and Succubi, she had seen a fair share of broken hearts, or at least distress over relationship matters from time to time.

Barth looked briefly at Simone and Colette, during the renewed bout of tears, trying to convey any help would be appreciated, yes please.
"I don't err- he might have just been...I mean it might not have been intentional, hurting you like that. He may not have realized that everyone expects to be informed if you've got to be away for a bit, and figured you'd know he'd come back when he could, and may be, err, on the absent-minded side."
Barth was feeling some renewed guilt about doing, essentially, the same thing (albiet not with a significant other, unless they were counting exes, in which case he had done exactly the same thing).
