Ghost sound is exactly what the name implies, and projection is simply an image you create however it cannot make any sound."

Then he saw Ollie once more, "Oho, I thought you were dead. You've been slacking off in your training all this time. If you want to learn shield skills, I suggest you start off with Shield Bash and Feint. Shield bash smashes the enemy with the shield. A simple skill for pushing the enemy slowly backwards and making them lose ground. Feint, the user goes into a more relaxed state to give the impression their guard has been let down. This provokes the enemy into attacking and they then make a quick movement to disarm their opponent with the shield by smashing it against the weapon when the enemy goes for an attack."

He said before he began something that sounded like jitterish, but really it was the dead Xerxian language that he picked up while staying in Luray. Once Kronos could comprehend it, he would hear the words: 'This is the Xerxian language, its a dead one, but I believe its unique.' And it was, the language itself was commonly used in the ancient city in the country side, and in that city, words have power.

As he instructed Kronos, Conner saw a bright flash of white light and when he looked around, no one had came in. Then he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see Aveline. A small grin appeared on his face, "So you're finally back! Did you find what you were looking for? Did you find Kora?" It was clear he wasn't paying attention to Arete, who was standing next to Aveline.

But then he finally averted his gaze to Arete, his body then stiffened. "What is he doing here? I thought you left to go beat him to a pulp."

Conner sighed, "I hope it goes according to your plan... and keep him away from the treasury, I heard what he did in Kusana. Damn thief."

But then a look of confusion could be seen on Conner's face when Aveline told him of the event with Kora. "She cried? It doesn't sound like her at all, damn, if I were't so busy I'd go myself. I need to talk with her."

"Whatever, I will count this as two C Ranked missions. Just do one B ranked mission and finish the skills you need to learn and you'll be on your way to becoming an expert."

Kronos nodded, understanding the concept of the next skill he was to learn. He immediately began funneling energy into his brain, opening up dormant cells in his brain. He began understanding Conner about two words into the language, in which he replied in english however, unable to speak Xerxian. "I see. This skill is useful. And it is indeed a unique language." The man replied in english.

Kronos sighed in frustration. This was the first sign that the dreadnought man actually had any emotions at all. He scowled slightly before walking over to where he had put his books on mage, elemental, and dreadnought skills.

He decided that it was time to learn a couple of skills while Conner was away. He knew it would be harder without a teacher, but he was tired of just vegetating in one spot. He opened up the mage book and decided to get to work.

Kronos began reading through his mage book, looking for a suitable skill. There were quite a few suitable C ranked skills. After a few moments of reading, the man found a suitable spell to learn that looked like it could be used in battle.

The skill Kronos was about to learn was called blasting energy. It was a ball of energy that exploded on contact with something. In short, it was the magical version of a rocket launcher.

Kronos looked around for something to test it on. He found the training targets, but one just didn't seem like enough. He walked over to them, and clustered four of them together.

Kronos backed away from his clustered training targets. It seemed like a simple enough spell, providing he payed close enough attention on how he cast it. He decided to stop with thinking about the spell and to actually get on with casting it.

Kronos looked down on the ground and slowly shut his eyes. He reached into his vast energy pool. His energy pool was bigger than most people of adept rank, let alone Novice. He could feel the energy build up in his palm.

Kronos looked at the clustered targets, then back at his energy filled palm. He swung his arm forward and threw the energy, like a baseball pitcher. The ball of energy flew as fast as a bolt from a crossbow, striking the center dummy. The ball exploded in a blast of bright light. When it was gone, there was only half of a single target left, charred up beyond recognition.
