Aria's phone chimed and she read Dante's message. Sadness filled her as she remembered Veto. People said that he must've brainwashed her because everyone knew that Veto was a bad guy. In truth he was actually pretty sweet. Maybe that was just the toxins in her body; they were making her see what she wanted: a good relationship. Also she felt responsible for what happened to Alex. She hadn't known about the attack but because Veto was connected she couldn't help but feel awful. She still felt awful, no matter how many times Dante said it wasn't her fault. She sighed, wiped away a tear, and replied to thet text: Yeah I'll be here. I should take Kara to the hospital so she can get checked out, but that can wait til tomorrow.

Victoria saw that he became distracted for a moment, so she smiled and untangled their hands, finally seeing them for the first time. She blushed fiercely and pulled away slowly, glancing at the lizard one last time before she ran to the last corner to see the big frogs and little tree frogs. She watched them jump around and laughed, turning to wave Dante over.

Leo saw that Victoria already moved on to the frogs. He began to head over as she waved him over. As he walked over he got Aria's text. He sent one back that read:
Alright. I might try to stop by later. I gotta talk to you about some stuff. Don't wait too long though. he closed his phone and put it in his pocket. He told himself that he wouldn't be distracted anymore until they left the zoo.
He went over to Victoria as she watched the frogs. "Sorry about that. Aria texted me and it was kinda important, but I promise that it won't happen anymore while we're here." he smiled at Victoria and nudged his hand against hers. It was the kind of nudge that a guy does when he wants to hold a girl's hand. He actually liked that what happened back there, but he wasn't sure about Victoria. After the nudge he waited to see what she would do, since this would give him an idea of the way she felt. It's worth the try he thought as he watched the frogs with her.

Victoria heard him walk over as she watched a red-eyed tree frog jump from the fake grass to a lower fake tree branch. She smiled and tapped the glass lightly. "Hey little froggy..." She whispered. She heard Dante talking to her and she turned around to see him standing there, watching the frogs with her. "No, it's okay, really. It doesn't matter. Do what you have to." She said quickly. But secretly she was relieved her would spend the rest of the time with her. She went back to the small frog in the cage. A few seconds later she felt a tap against her hand. She looked down and saw Dante nudging her. She was confused when he did this and nudged him back, looking up into his eyes. She loved what she saw there, and soon as she thought it, her face flamed.

"It does matter. I didn't bring you here to talk on the phone." he said while looking into her eyes. Dante wasn't much of a compassionate person, but he tried. Her face was now red, while she blushed and Dante held her hand. After all she nudged back so he took it as she wanted too. He continued to look into her eyes before saying, "What do you wanna do now?" By now Dante was rubbing her hand with his thumb. He realized what he was doing and stopped. His face became a light red color and it soon disappeared.

Victoria smiled at the look in his eyes and instantly forgot about the tree frogs. She felt him take her hand and glanced down, her face now taken up by a deep red color. She heard him ask her a question and she shivered. Biting her lip with embarrassment, she almost pulled away from fright, but restrained herself. His big hands were warming her own, and she had to admit, it didn't feel bad or wrong. She took a shaky breath and replied, "Shall we go to the tigers?" But the words only came out as a squeak, and she made a mistake by staring into his eyes again, afraid he thought she was a fool.

Dante couldn't quite catch what she said but she was looking into his eyes again. He was still holding her hand, but he let go. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't be doing this since just met today." he said as if he was afraid his actions weren't playing in his favor. He stood there and still looked at her. He felt that what he was didn't feel bad and he actually liked Victoria. "I mean it's up to you. I don't know how you feel, so I would hate to put you in a awkward situation." by now he was playing things smoothly. He asked her what she wanted to go see next and waited for her reply for both situations.

Victoria blinked, confused and slightly disappointed when her removed his hand from hers. "O-Oh." She blushed, feeling what she did was wrong now, and stared at the floor. "I'm...sorry. If I..made you mad." She said quietly, glancing away. She couldn't meet his eyes anymore. "And..it's not awkward. It's fine. I'm just kind of, new to this kind of thing, you know?" She continued to whisper as she swallowed. "Um, we can go see the tigers, if that's okay?"

((Sorry I had the other rp names in mind. They both start with V so I got mixed up))
"You're not the only one. I never get this way with anyone else. It's," he paused trying to thing of a way to say what he was thinking, "It has never really been my thing so to say." Dante held Victoria's hand again now that he knew it was a safe action. Dante felt the stress roll off his shoulders now that he knew that he was not the only one feeling the way he did. He looked at her and said, "The tigers are fine, unless you want something to eat?"

Victoria smiled at him when he took her hand once again. She sighed, for some reason feeling protected. She could meet his eyes again too, and she felt herself leaning into him. When she knew what she was doing, she flushed and apologized. She needed to quit letting her emotions get the best of her..She grinned when her stomach growled in response to Dante's question. She laughed and said,"I think my stomach has other ideas. I guess we could get something to eat." She smiled warmly at him and led the way to the entrance, skipping happily.

Dante smiled back at Victoria. He let her lead the way out the building. Around them were smalls stands to eat at with a big cafe in the middle. He looked around at the different shops. "So what do you want to eat. There's a deli, a place to get burgers, and such." he said pointing to each building. "You pick and I buy. Deal?" he said when they stopped to look at all the buildings.

Victoria took a deep breath and stopped to shake her head. "Look, Dante. You are a really good friend and all, but I can pay for one measly burger." Or I hope, she added with a look of fear in her eyes. She glanced at the buildings and back at his face with an determined expression.

"I was just trying to be a gentleman." he kindly added before they went over to the restaurant. He went up to the counter and ordered a basic meal that consisted of a cheeseburger and fries. The women kinda told Dante that it would be five dollars and she handed her the money. He stepped to the side to let Victoria order.

Victoria smiled at Dante and went up to the counter. She looked up at the menu and got a small sized chocolate shake, which only costed a couple of dollars, she thought with relief. She wouldn't have to make a full of herself. She got out the five dollar bill and slid it across the small window towards the lady.

Dante looked at Victoria as she got the chocolate shake. Does that count as a meal? he thought as he looked up at the cup. "Is that all you're getting? It's not much of a meal." he said as she held her hand again. He couldn't just let her drink a shake while he ate in front of her. "Listen. I can't eat in front of people. It's makes me nervous and feel like I'm being rude." he said before ordering another burger and fries. "I'm not trying to disrespect you." he said as he grabbed the meal and led them to a table.
