"Metal Elemental. One of the last," The figure said before serving up a bowl of seven vegetable stew to the girl. "Golems are mere puppets whose strings are pulled by wizards and mages." Then he lowered his hood and opened his tunic as he added the metal objects from the day to his being; growing stronger and taller in the process. Then he closed his tunic and raised his hood again.
Brigs Finished his meal and then left again to followed lucian and Dema. He pstood behind them sizing up the competitors. "I stuck around at theat eatery after getting a meal, The owner isn't human, he's not even half human. He's a legend." then he whispered for only dema to hear, "Metal elemental. A god of metal based magic. Maybe we could get him to join your expedition."

Dema whispered to Brigs to where the others couldn't hear her, "That's great and all, but first, we need to get the money so we can head out to begin with. First things first. I'll take the opprotunity to meet it after Lucian and I finish up here, if it's still around then."

Forge closed his eatery up a, givinging away his already cooked meals, and then he pulled his stage coach to the gambling location. He walked inside and sat across from Dema and then removed his cloak. He reached into the cloak and pulled out a sack of coins and placed 30 gold coins, 21 silver coins, and 5 copper coins on the table. He then raised his bet even high by saying, "I bet not only the coin on this table but my services as a chef and as a body guard. I sick of lurking in shadows and I'm tired of hiding in this cloak. Either humans and their relatives accept me as another living being, or they die trying to wipe me out. Who ever wins this game will have food fit for a king so long as they hold my contract, and they shall have a body guard who cannot be killed by conventional means."
He made no attempt to hide what he was. "Deal me in...unless you're afraid to lose."
Brigs gaped and actually took a step back, sitting on a near bye bench to watch how the game would turn out.

Lucian, having already purposely lost far enough hands, placed his own bet and muttered a chant. A nearby fly buzzed around the table, unknown, gazing around at each person. Lucian looked innocently up at Dema, his face covered in blueberry stains from before. He truly did look like a child. In his mind, he was thinking about the fact that, with the amount of pot on the table, he could win back everything they'd just lost and gain nearly twice that in one round without even being noticed.

Dema looked back at Lucian, offering that kind motherly smile she had clearly mastered. It was her signal to Lucian that she was ready to commence with their fundraising operations.

Forge waited with his arms crossed. He held his cards up, but didn't really care for the cards. He was more interested in how the game would play out.

Lucian grinned like a child enjoying himself as the round went on. At the end, when it was time to show, he revealed himself having a royal flush (Straight + Flush with royals...ten, jack, queen, king, ace for anyone who doesn't know...also the best hand.). He smiled as he won, reaching pathetically to try and grab the money. Of course, he could have used magic to bring it to him, but that would reveal that he had, indeed, cheated. His eyes looked up at Dema expectantly as he jumped out of his seat.

She took the money for Lucian, not changing that sweetness on her face at all as she did so. Once Dema had all of his winnings in their coin purse, she got up to walk out with Lucian.

Forge got up from the table and spoke directly to dema and Lucian, "You've won my contract. It is binding legally. According to the laws of my race, I am now bound to To one of you until old age takes you." Then he followed them, picking up his cloak.
Brigs followed quietly, more afraid of the metal elemental than either of his companions seemed to be.

Ez nearly yelped when her things were snatched. She looked up at the large creature, rubbing her hands from the poke of silverware. "Erm.." she muttered, looking among the meat. "I'll take live chicken probably.. "she muttered quietly. She adored animals in anyform so she wouldn't of mind that I really liked those chains to she sighed inwardly, but worked to keep a friendly smile though it was obvious she was nervous infront of the cook. When he poured her some veggie soup the image sort made her fear a little greater as she held the bowl. She looked up at the cook nervously and didn't want to insult his cooking, so she stuck a finger in to try it.
She was happy to know it tasted ok, and after conjuring some salt to put on it she could eat it silently though she used her spoon to dig out any veggie she didn't like. Once done she left the spoon in her mouth, as it seemed to absorb some of the juice flavor. She looked to Kale to see if he was moving, but he seemed to be content eating. Giving him a smile as best as she could with a faint blush of appreciation towards him. She turned her head to see the large man close up his food and head into some large building that seemed to have a lot of commotion going on and even some music "Hmmm?" her curiousity peaked. People.

Lucian walked out with Dema, sighing as they exited. "Can I have just enough of the gold to refill my purse?" He asked as they got far enough away from the tavern. Carefully, he cleaned his face easily and moved his hair about to reveal his pointed ears. Now, it was much more apparent that he wasn't a child, but instead an elf. He didn't say anything to Forge, figuring Dema was the better one of them to speak.

"Of course." Dema replied, handing Lucian the bag to sort it all out for himself. She completely lost that oblivious look, but now seemed more relaxed - perhaps even a little lazy as she allowed herself to slouch slightly.

"By the way, I knew about the fly," Forge said. He hoped that would get their attention. He was shorter than both of them, but he definitely was no child, and didn't like being ignored. Don't make accept a bet unless you are both prepared to lose and prepared to accept the consequences of winning." Then looked to dema, "What is your story, Misstress?" He added that last word to get her attention specifically since she was the one who had accepted his contract. She took the money, and so was bound to the contract.
Brigs followed quietly.

Dema spoke nothing in reply of the fly. If he couldn't phsically prove it, it wasn't worth mentioning and is automatically invalid. In reply to his final question, she spoke, "I'm not very important. I'm just working together with Lucian here and Voit, who's off doing something I don't remotely care about right now so long as it doesn't have any negative consequences, to get a job done." After a moment, she then added in, "By the way, don't call me mistress. It feels wierd, so instead, just call me Dema. Everyone else does."

Lucian looked at Forge, startled when he said he knew about the fly. "How'd you know about it?" He asked, turning about. It seemed odd to have someone be shorter than him, it really did. However, Lucian still went about sorting out the amount of his gold that went in, plus two to make up for the blueberries, into his purse. He then gave the bag back to Dema, waiting for Forge's answer. At the mention of Voit, Lucian turned around, realizing that he'd seen someone in front of him. "Um... I think I know what Voit was doing." He pointed up at the registration, where they could clearly see Voit and Kyrell.
