She nodded quietly as her 'Sister' confirmed her words and listened as her sister went on to talk, "It is...certainly full of energy," she agreed quietly. The ghoul followed after Needle falling silent as she moved thinking about whether or not they actually were due for something different. She'd felt so content before but now things were more uncertain. It was odd breaking 'free'. "I think...I could learn to enjoy this," she agreed after a moment.
It would take Lattice a bit more time.
Lattice stopped next to her 'Sister' and smiled a bit at her sister's excitement. She supported Needle's urges to do new things and explore outside of what they knew it gave Lattice bravery to do the same. She nodded quietly, "There are many here...Maybe some would allow themselves to be marked..."
She'd been so focused on Needle that it was too late to stop short when her 'Twin' bumped into someone and it caused her to bump into that same someone. Pointed 'barbs' on her arms would undoubtedly dig into his skin unless he was quick enough to avoid her as well.

Petro made the mistake of letting his guard down just because he was inside a school building. Which was why there was a sudden sensation of being pierced. Actually, there was more than one sensation of being pierced. Particularly in his stomach. And just as abruptly the sensation intensified as spikes pushed in deeper. He swallowed a snarl of pain as bare feet pulled him backwards away from the spiked source, immediately dropping the books as he smoothly shifted into a battle stance. Was he being attacked?! His mouth pulled open to show tightly clenched teeth and his brows furrowed to accompany the angry glare of his eyes. For now, he ignored the streaks of blood oozing from his wounds.
Even when he saw it was a ghoul, no wait, two ghouls (or was he seeing double?) before him, Petro didn't drop his anger. Or his stance, "What was that for?" he demanded, not yelling but still louder than appropriate in a library.

Everyone was just talking to each other and no one was really talking to her. Ash crossed her arms. Drummed her fingers. Tapped her foot. Tapped her other foot. This was getting really boring, really fast.
"Hey, Seiji. It was oodles and oodles of fun to see you again. I missed you, I really did. We have to catch up better some other time, though. Lots to see!" She leaned in to give Seiji's cheek a little kiss, wrapping her arms around his shoulders to add a firm hug. With an airy wave to the boils she turned and gave a little tilt of her head towards Cat, a silent invite for him to follow along with her, which she was sure he would do.
A bounce in her step the pale banshee left the library behind.

"Oh!" Needle breathed out in surprise, giving a mild hiss as the spikes left her own skin. "My sincere apologies!" She had gasped out at the time, releasing her partner's wrist to hold both of her hands near her shoulders, palms out to prove she meant no harm. Her flinch at his words was hidden by her mask.
"I am afraid I did not see you!" The Engraver dropped her arms to her sides, accenting her apology with a deep bow. As she straightened, she finally got a decent look at the boil from bare feet to mildly bleeding stomach - He was very underdressed, wasn't he?! - and finally to his face. She would have taken note of his spiked hair had it not been for that banded tattoo across his nose and cheeks, and it was that tattoo that made something in her heart stirr.
"You have a tattoo." She stated matter-of-factly, and yet there was something of an awe to her tone, and the way her hands slowly started to clasp together, bruised and stained fingers linking together. "Dear sister, this stranger has a tattoo!" Her voice raised ever so slightly in an excited pitch that had not been heard from her yet; it was perhaps a couple tones above her norm, however to her it was akin to yelling with joy.

They'd done it now. They'd certainly done it now! Walking while not paying attention has now officially hurt someone and it wasn't just them. Lattice could deal with her own spikes digging into her and even the ones on her 'Sister' didn't cause her to do more than flinch but the ghouls honestly never really did anything like tackle each other so it'd never hurt much if at all.
It just was.
Lattice tensed up a bit as her lips went into a straight line showing her displeasure of being 'yelled' at but she humbly bowed next to her Sister uttering a soft, "I also apologize. We did not mean it," she held up her own hands after her wrist was released to mimic the 'no harm' stance. She wanted her sister to be happy here so she tried not to be as protective and possessive as usual. Still make no mistake she'd gleefully attack the boil if he attacked them.
The ghost ghoul paid attention as her 'Sister' had noticing the joy that crept into her voice. She relaxed a bit and smiled, "He certainly does," she confirmed.

Tro remained suspicious of them up until both ghouls apologized. To someone like Petro, tone was used as a last resort to determine intention. He was more of a body-language type of boil, and judging from theirs, he figured they were sincere enough. He relaxed his stance, finally taking his eyes off them to inspect his wounds. They weren't as bad as they looked, he'd suffered from worse before. "'M fine, 's fine," he stated, wiping at the blood haphazardly with his palm, only succeeding in smearing it across his skin.
Eh, what was a little blood? They apologized and meant it. That was good enough for Petro. "'M sorry too, shouldn't've dropped my guard anyway. Was careless," he added. When one of them, the one in blue, mentioned his tattoo, Tro tilted his head, "Uh, yeah, and uh, y' got spikes in y'r arms." What? They stated a fact, so he felt like he should have as well.

As Harriet made her way down into the depths of the Library she shot a glance back over her shoulder towards the congregation of students and potential students and huffed slightly in annoyance, they were in a library which was coincidently full of books, this was not a place to come and chat and get to know others, this was a place to emerge yourself in others chronicled intelligence and knowledge and senseless chatter didn't interest her in the slightest. So she quickly dismissed the others and took a turn down another aisle leading her away from the noise and distraction.

"Where did you get them? Have you always ha---" Pausing, she watched him wipe his hand across his stomach, the movment on it's own having drawn her attention from his face and her questions. A stained hand waved in dismissal at his careless comment, about to refute it when...he played the Captain Obvious game. A little giggle escaped her lips, her fingertips pressing against them in a late attempt to silence them.
"Ah~ Why yes, and you are bleeding." She said, playing along with this new game. Brushing a hand against her partner's shoulder to attempt to alleviate some of her fears and hesitations, the blue-clad Engraver gracefully moved forward, a step or two closer to the much taller Boil. "Allow me to bandage it for you? It is the least we could do." Needle only happily looked up at him, focusing more on his tattoos than anything else. Hee, tattoos.

Avery wasn't sure if this kid was trying to help him, in his own annoying way, or just confuse the hell outta' him. It took him a while to decide, but in the end, he decided it was both. Because it felt like he was doing both.
"I'm assuming you're the kind of person, who likes to stick their nose in other peoples business?" He asked, his smirk still present. Though it faded a little as he eyed the rest of the crowd in the library. Some of them had begun yelling and fooling around. Though luckily, they quieted down again before the behemoth could speak a word. He wasn't even sure if he was supposed to lay down the rules for them today... But one thing was for certain, if the library was going to be this crowded everyday, the behemoth was going to bash his head in against a wall.

The fact that he wasn't too proud to accept their apology had pretty much ranked him up a couple of steps in Lattice's book and it helped her relax along with the feel of a hand against her shoulder. The chaos of fears and uncertainty settling down just enough to allow her to continue being civil as she stared at the blood for a moment or two as it was smeared about and then probably forgotten.
Lattice glanced up as her 'Sister' and the boil started in on stating the obvious things about each other and without meaning to she stated to the boil, "You are also very big," in a matter-of-fact sort of tone as if he hadn't honestly realized it.
She'd let her sister bandage the boil, "I'll help if needed," she said softly and shifted a bit before she also moved a bit closer but not as close as Needle. "You dropped your books," she added helpfully.

Jove was not eager to come out from his hiding spot. Partly because of the banshee and his fear of being hugged, but there was also something odd about her friend, Cat. He smelled like a ghost... and then something more. It was peculiar. It lingered strangely and put the pup on edge.
But at least everyone seemed to be getting along fine. His tail gave another wag, although it lasted only a second before Seiji's friend, Aislin, leaned towards him.
Jove's little ears flattened and he ducked nervously. Was she going to say cruel things to him like that other banshee, Sarias had? Would she try to kick him? No harmful words or motions came though, and his ears perked forward to listen to her whisper. Hadn't Seiji always told him to stay out of trouble?
The pup's ears flattened right back down at her happy shriek. Ghouls and their high-pitched noises... It was enough to break eardrums.

Kallos gave a hesitant nod as the student ghost boil, Seiji, looked at him. He sounded friendly enough, Kallos was just...easily intimidated by those who looked, well, scarier than himself. "I-it's nice to meet you, Seiji...and t-thank you." He hoped that was polite enough. At least Kallos knew Jove was friends with this boil, meaning he couldn't be that scary...
Kallos' attention was directed back to the Sparrow as the reaper looked at his fingertips. The reaper did look a bit confused as to how he could actually, you know, write with his fingertips, however. "I-I can explain it to you eventually. Y-you know, w-when I actually get into the school?" He'd explain it better later, but at this moment it didn't seem like the best time to be doing so. When the boil mentioned writing with calligraphy pens, Kallos' face lit up (well as much as his face ever lights up). "I love using Calligraphy pens. They write so smooth and beautifully, d-don't they? Do you practice writing calligraphy?" This was totally a topic Kallos could talk about. Finding another person with that kind of interest...Kallos must have been having great luck today.
Kallos blushed slightly, his face having a slight inky black tinge to it (as opposed to a red shade), as the scantily-clad banshee, Aislin apparently, waved at him. She kind of made him feel a tad uncomfortable. Probably since he thought her clothes were extremely unlady-like. Maybe because of who she'd brought over, too. (That Cat boil kind of scared Kallos a bit, to be honest.)
The slight Haunt noticed Jove cringe a bit as the banshee squealed and bounded away. That much be horrible on his pup-like ears...quietly he whispered toward the pup, "A-are you alright Jove?" He didn't want his new friend(...?) to have gotten an ear-ache from the ghoul.

Accepting apologies was one thing, offers of being patched up by complete strangers, subsequently showing his back, and leaving him vulnerable was another. Petro didn't bear any ill feelings towards the two, and now that he wasn't on the lookout for any signs of being further attacked he noticed, "Y' two look alike. A lot." It was also his way of continuing the observation game and trying to steer the subject away from his wounds. But in case they wouldn't be convinced, "'M fine, 's just a flesh wound."
Several flesh wounds actually but they weren't particularly deep, and hell, even if they were the tikbalang's motto involving injuries that were short of losing a limb was to walk it off. Thankfully, the red-clad ghoul's reminder that he'd dropped the soap his books also provided a good oh-hey-don't-mind-the-bleeding distraction as he knelt to pick them up. His movement was deliberate and slow and was extra alert in case someone tried to ride him given his position. Not that anyone's tried yet but he had to be careful. "Heh, hope 'm not in trouble for dropping them," he chuckled, inspecting the spines and the covers, splaying the picture book open to check the pages. He may not love books (more like he didn't mind them) but he knew he ought to respect public property.

At Muka's suggestion Carmine's mind began to do back flips. He wasn't confused so much as too many ideas and possibilities for adventures and fun were occurring simultaneously in his mind. It was like a nuclear explosion. On crack. And it was fan-jacking-tastic.
Snapping back to what was going on right in his face, Carmine noticed as Charlie and Muka began to leave. Not wanting to be left behind, he tried to catch up. "Wait for me!" he yelled after them.

"If by that you mean I thoroughly enjoy learning as much as I can about a person, then yes, I am 'that kind of person,'" Sparrow responded, casting an amused smile at Sir Grumpy Pants. "So I suppose, in the spirit of things, I should introduce myself, and though I do not particularly think you care enough, I will do so anyway. My name is Sparrow Heartreed; I just enrolled in Amityville, and have only been here about a week."
The more he talked with this person, the more Sparrow was convinced that he wasn't actually a student. He did look older than the average Amityville kid, and the way he carried himself with that air of nonchalant uncaring made him believe that he was probably...er, something. A TA, perhaps?
"I would be delighted to learn more," Sparrow said to Kallos, pivoting on one foot to smile at the younger boil. "I find that calligraphy to be quite relaxing. Something smooth, calm, and interesting that catches my eye. Not to mention it produces beautiful artwork when done properly."
It made Sparrow quite pleased with himself to see Kallos excited - at least, he thought it was excited. He did seem quite enthused by their shared hobby.
Aislin was quite beautiful, though also quite loud. Sparrow's brows lifted, his head tilted towards her as Jove shrunk back further, fluffy ears pressed flat against his head. She disappeared quite soon after, however. Sparrow turned to the rest of the little group.
"I'm afraid I must depart now," he said, rather apologetically, and gave a smile in particular to Jove; a very mild attempt at reassuring the boil - who he still wasn't entirely certain he could call a friend. "I feel as if I might take a walk around to the booths and see what there is. You're free to join me if you so wish. And Kallos, I would be honored should you decide to continue this conversation later, perhaps give me a demonstration of your calligraphy abilities."
Bending over, Sparrow gave them all a short bow, and then with a smile, slipped out the library door. However, just before he exited, he glanced over his shoulder.
"Don't forget to smile now, Sir Grumpy Pants~!" he called cheekily, then disappeared.
