Clara Risna

-----------------------------------------

Clara had followed the others into the prison. She had to keep a shutter from coming up, when the man said to check Lena 'thoroughly'. She was going to be so glad when this was done.

As the group continued through the prison, she noticed an old man being escorted by a guard. Clara was confused with that scenario. She shook her head and just continued on.

Once they were able to talk Ziaram explained the next step needed to get done.

"No objections here." She said,"I'll go look for King Cyric." The myrmidon turned and our and started looking for Cyric, while looking like she was patrolling the area.

All right, Clara was gonna look for the king. That would leave the rest of the group with finding the prisoners, and of course getting them out. More than likely, the rest of the guards here, like the one that had passed them earlier with the old man, would have keys. The others in the group were still following him, so finding the keys would be easier. Besides, they still had Lena as a "prisoner", so getting around wouldn't be too hard.

Clara was heading farther down the path they were on, so the best route would be to find a different way to the prisoners. The path to the right of them seemed to be filled with less guards, so that seemed like a reasonable path to go on. Besides, the less guards around meant that it would be easier to fight them without reinforcements coming along. Heading down that path with the group, they ventured in till they reached the first guard. "Prisoner here for one of the cells. Hurry up, we don't have all day."

Once the guard would be heading to unlock the cell they were at, Ziaram brought his blade out and brought the hilt down on the soldier's helmet hard to knock him out. He then reached down and took the key from the fallen soldier. One down, and I figure we will need more to go.

From a quick look around the area, it seemed there were two people in separate cells in the area. Both seemed to be knights, but didn't wear the armor of Learania. They must have came from a different world, like the rest of us. Picking up the fallen soldier's weapon as well, he went over to one of the doors and unlocked it. Moving inside, he dropped the lance in front of the soldier. "Don't worry I am not your enemy. The ones that put you in here are my enemies as well. If you can fight, then come with me. We are going to get the rest of the prisoners released." Whether or not Kierkess accepted the offer was his own choice.

Ziaram then went out, and started to drag the unconscious soldier into the cell that Kierkess was in. He would probably want to get away from that cell, since this soldier would be the new person to inhabit the cell.

- Kierkess Renvald -

Aghast, Kierkess watched as one of the enemy soldiers just took out one of his comrades. Of course, then the thought 'maybe they aren't comrades' rang through his head, thinking it to be the only explanation. Glancing over at Cormag and then back at the soldier who was unlocking Kierkess's cell, he wondered just how such a man had wormed his way into the ranks of the guards.

While obviously thankful to the person, Kierkess still didn't know if he could trust anyone in this world...a traitor perhaps less so. Rising to his feet uncertainly, the red knight straightened his back and watched as the door opened. His savior spoke, assuring Kierkess he was not an enemy and calling him to battle. Still somewhat hesitant, Kierkess picked up the lance and frowned at it. "...So, you're going to release everyone, hm?" mumbled Kierkess, not finding any fault in that. In fact, this was the escape opportunity he'd so pessimistically scoffed at Cormag for, not to mention the fact that he had a score to settle with his rude captors. Besides, the injustice he had felt in his cell was likely felt by all here - it was only natural to want to free them as well to right the wrong. User Image

Kierkess, still musing to himself, stepped out as soon as he saw the traitor's intention to imprison the soldier in the cell. He was now armed and out of jail - the possiblity of foul play on the enemy's part was quite unlikely at this point. "...Hm. I can most certainly get on board with that, I think," he said finally, testing the unfamiliar lance in his hand. Though he prided himself on being a cavalier of Rausten, he had admittedly not chosen the conventional path of a lance-wielder and instead opted on using an axe and sword on horseback. Here, on foot and with a lance, he was sorely out of his element. "Though...hm, I wouldn't mind hitting the contraband these pigs should have for a change of weapon, if at all possible."

He then turned over to Cormag and tapped the cell door with the lance. "Oh, and I believe Sir Wyvern General of Grado here might be out for some blood as well. I think he, at least, can accompany us." Though he'd been hesitant at first, Kierkess's primal anger towards the people who had imprisoned him was fueling his boldness. He personally wanted to make sure those bastards pay what they owed.

Verruckt looked up when he heard Ziaram hit the other guard on the head. After he let Kierkriss out Verruckt waved through the bars to get his attention. "Hey, can you let me out too? If you have a light magic tome I can fight as well."

Wallace and the new Guard recruits arrived at the camp outside of Arajudia's gates. "Ha! I knew we would find it!" He looked around at the camp and city. "Who is in command here? We are troops from Learania's guard, and we're here to assist!"

This guy was also saying that someone else should join them. Well, good thing the cell key would work for these cells as well. Unlocking the door to Cormag's room, he nodded towards the exit. "You're free to go as well. If you want the enemies blood, join us as well."

That seemed like everyone, till he noticed someone waving to get his attention. Huh...not sure how I missed him. He unlocked Verruckt's cell, and then shook his head. "Sorry, but we do not have a light tome. You'll have to stay behind us so you don't get in harms way. We will protect you."

It was fairly dark inside the prison. It was night time after all, but even during the day the prison was fairly dark, from lack of windows. There were torches on some spots on the walls, but mostly a soldier would carry one with him while patrolling. After the fake guard released some of the prisoners, an orange glow started to grow in the distance. The soldier strolled along, without a care. By the time he reached the cells the false guard had opened, he and the escaped prisoners were already gone. The patrolling guard had heard nothing and so had no reason to suspect that something was amiss.

A sudden groan caught his attention and so he looked over into the cell and gasped. That black armor was clearly Mordachean. He quickly took our his keys, opened the cell and rushed over to his collapsed companion. "Hey! Wake up! ...Hey!" He patted the man's face until he eventually came to.

"...What the..." he groaned. He looked around and then suddenly, his memory came to him. "Son of a b***h! The prisoners!" He jumped to his feet and saw that the other guard was already out looking at the nearby cells.

"The others in this section are gone, too!" He yelled to his risen comrade. "Hurry, go sound the alarm, I'll round up the dark mages!"

The two then ran off in different directions. The weaponless soldier made it to the back, where the closest bell was and hastily began to clang it. The guards all around the prison jumped to attention at the sudden noise and began to move towards the entrance. The moment the weaponless guard met up with another guard, he told him that one of the guards was an imposter and said to spread the word. If any guard didn't know that their warden was Old Man Chama, that guard would be easily exposed as a fake.

Speaking of Chama....

User Image "UEEWWUUUUWWEEHHUUWEHHH!!!" he shrieked at the alarm. "What a horrible ringing in my ears!!" He scratched inside his ears and flicked out some wax.

The soldier escorting him growled. "That's the alarm, old man!! There's a prison break!"

Chama looked at him in awe. "That's terrible!" He remained silent for a moment. "Somebody should really do something about that..."

The soldier's eye blazed. "You're the one in charge!!"

By this time, they had left the old man's office and had walked over to the entrance of the prison, which was close by. Other soldiers began to convene and gathered by Chama. "Old man! Orders! What plan are we using?"

"Hmmmm!" Chama looked pensive for a moment, but then tilted his head. "... ....We have plans?"

"...YOU'RE THE ONE WHO MADE THEM!!"

"Uwehehh... oh, that's right, of course, of course... ...What were they again?"

"There's only one exit, we need to gather the dark mages here and seal it off so they can't get out! It's plan A... the containment plan! If the situation has gone too far, plan B is elimination! "

"Hm... A?" Chama stroked his beard. "Shouldn't it be called C, for containment?"

"No sir, plan C is in regards to emergency need of the outhouse!"

"Ooooh, that's important! We should do that one."

"....But that one has nothing to do with a prison break!!"

"Hold on, I'm confused, I thought I had to use the outhouse!"

"....W-what... sir, there's-"

"Oops, nope, nevermind!"

"...Sir! The prison break!"

"Hm? Oh, ehhehhehe... Well, I suppose we can't let them out until their sentence is done, can we? Let's seal off this exit, guard the store rooms and round them up."

"Alright, plan A!" He turned to the other guards. "Spread the word! Get the dark mages! Go!"

Chama watched as the soldiers moved into action. Once he was just left with a couple of guards, he whispered to himself. "...I still say it should be called plan C."

Without knowing I'm alone underneath this moonlight
I've got a feeling that fragile things are being moved far off
By the power of always believing you'll be near me

I called out only your name

Inside this light...
On nights where it's like I can't catch hold of anything
There isn't a day I don't think about it

-Cyric-

Hmph, it seemed too easy. Of course this old man wouldn't let them up and leave. Despite being a carefree old man who hadn't had a clue about enemies or allies around him. He was still a mordachean commander. Cyric should have known. The king watched as Chama paced about the corridors until the cell next to him suddenly up and grabbed the man by the beard. This came as a surprise to Cyric and he couldn't help but move to the front of the cell to observe the situation. So it wasn't just him hoping they could get out if they had one of their own. However, even the soldiers guarding the cells didn't seem to care for one of their officers. Were they serious? Never the less, Chama was released by the prisoner in the next cell.

Cyric let out a heavy sigh once more and put his back to the wall, from where he was sitting, he could see the entrance clearly. This was going no where and if by some miracle, Horatio and his gorup was alive....Cyric shook his head, he didn't want to even think about what really happened. He can only hope that they were all still alive.

Just then, the alarm went off and all the mordacheans in their current location were all alert. "Prison break..? ... Horatio?" The first thing that popped into his head. If anything then it meant they were still alive! How would they all escape immedietly played into the King's mind. If they were let out, first thing they--no, everybody would need are weapons to fight back. Was there any sort of armory near here? In this building?

First things first...get out of here now that they had a better chance.

Tanya had paced around aimlessly. Cecil still hasn't returned and it would probably take him who knew how long. Even if he rode all day and night, reinforcements wouldn't get here for another 2 or 3 days. The anxiety was killing this sage. She tried not to think of it anymore then she already has. Her silenced was broken when a tall bald man in a heavy silver armor approached with some people. They weren't Estarcians....had Learania heard that they needed help..? Never the less, unless they can get the gate open, the troops outside were useless!

"I'm in charge..for the time being." So Learania did send them. How were they going to assist?? Tanya shook her head, clearing her mind as she began to fill him in. "There is no way in and no way out, how exactly do you expect us to get in? His majesty, King Cyric has surrendered himself and is held captive there as well as Estarcia's most valued commander and your allies. Unless you have some flier units with you, I seriously doubt that you will make it through these walls." pointing behind her with her Bolganone tome.

Horatio
▫ ▪Altiplos Warrior▪ ▫

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It felt like Horatio was waiting for his signal to start his own infiltration forever. Just how long would it be until Ziaram and the others stirred up a commotion? From a safe distance, he watched the guards outside. How he wanted to just bust in there, but he knew better. It was now a game a patience that he was playing, and Horatio would win if he knew what was good for him and for Cyric.

And then, it happened. He saw the guards shouting to one another, but he couldn't make out what they were saying. All he knew was that they were stirred up, losing the usual routine and patterns of their march. Whatever he'd done, Ziaram was successful. Now it was finally time for the great smith of Altiplos to do his part. Knocking an arrow, the redhead aimed at the guard that was right within his range. He released the arrow slowly, but with all his strength and accuracy behind it, watching as it soared into the back of another Mordachean soldier.

"There's no turning back now, Annis! That definitely got their attention!" Horatio said, knocking another arrow in preparation for an inevitable onslaught. "But of course, none of them will be any match for us, will they?" he added confidently. And so, the battle would begin. There was no more time for prayers, hopes, or preparations. It would now be up to him and his coalition to win with their strength and strategies alone.

User ImageThe hands I'd kept clean
Now look dirty
Before I can doubt my memories
My memories are doubting me...

Annis waited with Horatio for their part of the siege to begin, and good goddess this was taking a long time. She spun and flipped her knives around in her hands idly, the handles whistling between her fingers as she 'played.' Eventually she slid them back into their holsters and waited in silence, holding back a sigh. Horatio looked just as impatient as her, albeit with a considerable amount of concern coloring it. He was surely worried as hell about his commander. Don't worry. He'll be fine. She wanted to say it, but it was so delicately quiet there that she felt that breaking it would... ruin something. Annis had no clue, she wasn't the best at this sentimental s**t. The raven put a hand on his shoulder, though, again. She could do that, at least.

Annis' eyes lit up as she saw their formation shatter and their movement grow frantic. Horatio had noticed without her cue, too, and took the liberty of the first strike. "There's no turning back now, Annis! That definitely got their attention! But of course, none of them will be any match for us, will they?"

The raven grinned, slow and easy, and removed her knives again from their holsters, spinning them in her palms before gripping tightly. "The thought never crossed my mind! Cover me!" She kicked off of the ground and soared for the compound, eyes wide.

"Special delivery, ********!" Annis shouted, that manic grin still on her face as cold steel sliced through exposed necks, felling one of the remaining guards around the front of the compound. She barely even slowed, soaring right past him and heading for the last one. She had found, in the past, that looking like an insane b***h while fighting was usually enough to take the startled enemies and throw them even more off their guard. And so the expression of manic delight stayed on her face, eyes wide and laughing as she aimed for the guard's neck and jaw, knives flashing in the light.

"Oh my..."

It had certainly been a lively evening.

-RECAP-

First, there was the arrival of this new prisoner. Everything about him just fueled the burning curiosity the cleric was harboring. Things just seemed...Off. He was dressed nothing like a common soldier, though there was something about him. He wasn't a mere officer. The way he held himself, the patience he exerted once he had calmed...."Curious." She had muttered to no one in particular, straying back off to her nook where she took refugee from her usual neighbors. Some had been...rambunctious in the past, and had been recently been moved away. She pondered their fate from time to time, hoping for the best. Then again, in a place like this, that sort of thing might be considered a release, to some.

But her?

She would hold on. This was just another tribulation, a trial for her to overcome. Rin's faith had withstood thus far, and she was going to keep it as so. Besides, there was some comfort to be found in her companions. Wait, was that an even suitable word? Prisoner just sounded so bleak! Fellow Restricted Compatriots? No, no, that was all wrong! Anyway, there was still the antics of their Jail Master to look forward to. Chama was such a strange man...Though always welcome to be heard. Many a time had come where she had to muffle her giggles to keep from being noticed. Curious and curiouser still, the man always seem to find the time to shoot the breeze with his prisoners! It couldn't even been considered an interrogation, just casual small talk. It was like they were his house guests...who could never leave. ...Oh dear, something went wrong with that metaphor somewhere...

Wait. Now this was interesting...Chama had approached the newcomer, being...Well, Chama! Oh, how it was good to have a laugh agai-Wait, did they negotiate their release!? W-Who was this man to have that sort of leverage? What made him so special...? Rin's flabbergasted moment was short lived, however. That is to say...She soon received an even bigger shock, Chama being seized by another in a nearby cell. Kione had been one to keep to himself, but this...This was certainly unexpected! She winced at the sight, though not for long. Soon, the entire fiasco was over with and put behind them. And Chama...Somehow got out of it all the better.

Such a strange man...

-END OF RECAP-

"KYA!" She suddenly jumped, scrambling to her feet in a rather awkward fashion. It was a reminiscent of a cat standing up on end before she, rather red faced, pushed herself up from the ground. A prison break...? First this man, and then all of this...This was not by chance. Not by a long shot. Now the curiousity was too much to control. It seems that they were to be released by their rescues soon, but in the meantime...The cleric turned her attention to Cyric, giving a rather confused frown.

"...Who are you exactly?"

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. When they had arrived at the camp, Mihira had taken care to first find a place for Darius to be kept. She then began finding her way back to Captain Wallace. From the look of things at the camp, the battle didn't look like it had progressed much. It looked from the torches she could see lit that the enemy was barricading themselves behind the gate, but Estarcia wasn't attacking them. This seemed.. strange. She also noticed that she didn't see the new king or any of the Learanians who had volunteered. It was possible they were elsewhere in the camp, but she figured she would have at least seen one person that wasn't in Estarcian armor...

When she found Wallace again, he was just telling an Estarcian officer that they unfortunately did not have any flying units. "U-um...!" she chirped, hoping that she would be noticed. "I'm... still here, actually, and... I'm a wyvern rider. Um..." She glanced at the Estarcian timidly officer and then back to Wallace. "...Is there some sort of need for eyes in the sky?"

(Sorry I haven't been on in a long time. It looks like I'm going with Horatio according to my earlier flavor text and the lack of involvement in the prison break)

Chince set her arms back and noticed one of the first robed men who was supposedly a shaman. The walk was rather dirty, and a quick flick of her sword across the ground sent up a small cloud of sparkling dust. The man was dismayed first by the dust and then the holes burning in his robe. However he wouldn't have to worry much longer, his carotid artery was pretty easy to cut. And the c***k in the next guard's face plate was fairly wide.
After that it was a question of worrying if those were her allies in disguise, but she couldn't worry long as she pounced away from the door and to the next soldier. His hamstrings were calling to her sword.

The chaos started to happen in the cell. Clara tossed the helmet she was wearing and started to run. She looked in the cells punching the guards along the way. She also tossed the chest armor she was wearing to the side while running. She did not use her sword because there might be someone who could use it.

She then saw a cell with someone familiar in it. She stopped and ran to the cage.

"King Cyric!" She yelled, "I'm Clara Risna from Learania. I'm here to, hold on a moment." 2 guards came running to her. The myrmidon stuck her leg out and the first guard tripped and the second one tripped over him. She then jumped onto them.

She noticed that one of them had keys "Ah some keys." She grabbed them and tried to open the lock. After 3 tries it the lock clicks. She stands up and kicks the guards away before opening the door. "As you just saw, me and a group of others are here to rescue you guys. King Cyric, can you fight with a sword? I have a silver sword. It's a custom made one though. If you can't use it I'm sure some one else can. I'll be fine."
